What does it do : It will change/create your "gps.conf" file, so your phone will connect with the Nokia NTP Servers in Europe instead of Google. You should get a faster GPS fix.

Hidden menu fix : use nokia servers & avtivate SLP Auto Provision
all credits to conceptics @ modaco !!
To get it to work as flawless I have made the following adjustments that seem to work well:
1. Go into the LG hidden menu
2. Go into GPS Test
3. Go into System Settings
4. MOLR Protocol (is set to User-Plane)
5. SULP Setting -> SLP Server Setting, I created a new one for the nokia servers (slp address: supl.nokia.com, port: 7275, no cert and no TLS setting)
6. SLP Auto Provision is activated
I'm in Switzerland and with this settings (supl.nokia.com), the GPS fix is relatively quick and works consistently within about 10 seconds of starting Google-Maps.
Still not sure if this is indeed FR15 related or if the problem is purely SSL Certificate related. If it is SSL Certificate related wouldn't the problem be much more widespread and wouldn't google already have updated the certificate by now?
Anyway, hope the above works at least as a temporary workaround.

this fix really works like a charm, you nearly get an instant fix !
access hidden menu :
In launcher pro you just press and hold on one of the home screens until a menu shows up.
Select "Shortcuts" then choose "Activities" scroll down until you find com.lge.hiddenmenu.
tap on it then tap on HiddenMenu. now you have a shortcut on the home screen.
if you have cooked ROM without hidden menu, you can use my zip to install in recovery first :

First, the Optimus 2X doesn't have a gps.conf file at all, so the fix is about creating the file, not modifying it.

After MCR fr15 rom, there is gps.conf file already as Paul implemented it into his rom.

I use navlem great BlazingDragon rom that had a gps.conf for north america and just edited it for the UK by getting my server from here http://www.pool.ntp.org/en/

It sees the satelites but never locks them. Do you have any solution for it?

in a room or house you can hardly get a fix ...
outside i get a fix between 5-30 seconds, depends where you are ...

Rebooted and fixed inside the house within 30 sec, works properly. Thanks!

yes, you probably have to mount rw first ...

Flashed this, but now when i boot phone, i get alot of force closes and the phone doesnt really work because adw launcher keeps closing. Anyone with this problem? any way to restore the phone as it was?

my zip can´t be the reason for this behavior ...
it just copies "gps.conf" to system/etc
if you like to remove it : navigate to system/etc with root explorer, mount rw, and delete "gps.conf"
that´s it !

does it work for the stock rom???

Nice fix, just pushed the file with root explorer on system/etc, now faster fix work on Stock Rom (V10c).

I had the same problem, then I fixed permissions in recovery.
now I have no more FC (until now! )

[REQ] Note 3 Stock video player

Hey all. I was wondering if anybody knew of a place to get the stock Note 3 video player. I was having problems with my google account after a mess and flashed to a new ROM and my account works fine now. The downside is that the ROM does not have to stock video player. Normally not a big deal. But I have the Showbox app and a Samsung smart TV at home to stream from my phone to my TV. I need a way to still do that. Im open to suggestions for other apps or ways to do it. The ROM is AzureROM Five. Uses MX Player. Thanks

I found a video player that works. Sorry for not updating this thread. Thank you so much for that though. The app I found actually works better than the stock app. It is twonkybeam. Where the stock player would not fully buffer a lot of things I have not had any issues with this player unless I am also doing a lot on my phone at the same time. But again, thank you so much.

What issue did you have? My Honda CRV will drop Bluetooth connection when I place a call and regain it once connected, and randomly transfer calls back to the phone. I had to go back to M preview 3.

Bluetooth does not stay connected for more than a few seconds without this modification. In the below topic, shimodax says that it is the case since Android 4.2 because of the change Google made. Yours is another problem I guess.:

Thats wonderful, unfortunately the bluetooth.default.so doesn't work on my Note 4 (Android 6.0.1, may 2016 build). I would be grateful if you could recompile for this device as well!

Sorry, but I don't know how to compile for a non-nexus phone

Added the file compiled for android 7.0.

Same thing happened ever since I upgraded my 6p to 7.0, bluetooth in my mazda just will not connect anymore

Did this fix? I have an issue with BT randomly dropping for about 20 secs then reconnecting. Wasn't sure if it was an issue thing or Wear thing.

I don't know, but maybe you can download the source code of the original rom or a custom rom compatible with your variant and modify the file and recompile?

You must unlock your bootloader (this will erase all data). Then you can flash a custom recovery (TWRP) and/or root your phone and use a file manager that supports root. Or you can temporarily boot to TWRP using adb, mount system and use adb to push the file (never tried the second method).

Excuse I do not really get a good idea with the phones I made root on the phone with the program "odin" and installed "supersu" further I'm stuck I do not know what to do. Do you have a tutorial with what to do? Or you can tell me if you have time step by step what I have to do I really want the bluetooth to work in the car.

Well, my problem is that as soon as I get someone to call or someone calls me, I answer and immediately lose my connection. I tried with iphone and with iphone goes well, if it is easier for you to use the teamviewer.
From what I understood the file that posted collegu help me stay the stable connection.

now i bought this huawei p8 lite 2017 but i can't do nothing with it..

So you use the string method because replacing the file doesn't work? Only replacing bluetooth.default.so always works for me, even in android 8.1, but it may need to be compiled in the same android revision.

here is the fix for the smart view. U need a root explorer to do so. I recommend Mixplorer, download apk. DO NOT INSTALL like a regular apk. Using root explorer, go to root/system/priv-app. once in there create a new folder. Name folder SmartM. Copy the above smart mirroring apk into the newly named SmartM folder. The permissions should be set automatically as rw-r-r for the apk. just double check to be sure. Once that is done reset phone. U should now have a Smart Mirror icon under your notification drop down options. you should be able to connect to chrome cast and some smart tv's and mirror your phone. I tested this myself and it works fine. This version of smart mirroring is the note 8 version which is a little cooler in my opinion than the some of our other roms that have it. It is easier to just add this fix this way than re upload the whole rom and have u guys reinstall. additionally, I tried to make a flashable fix but I use linux and dont have that capability. or I dont know how yet. lol

Did not work for me. Pretty sure I did everything correctly. I am not unfamiliar with these kinds of things. Wonder if there was something I missed. I upgraded stock 1st to 711. Odin'd TWRP. installed Nova. Installed Supersu and encryption breaker. loaded up OS and downloaded a root browser and created the SmartM folder anc copied apk to it and verified permissions and went back into twrp and factory reset. loaded OS again and no smartview

sorry. U don't have to factory reset.that erases any modifications.install as instructed into nova rom. Then just reboot.

This does not work for me after following the instructions. No icon appears. I Odin'd twrp. Booted. Twrp'd supersu. Booted. Installed a root browser and created smartm and pasted apk. Have to correct permissions. Reboot. Nothing.

After install go up to notification bar, pull down select button order. Smart view is one of the icons that is not defaulted so its prob there. I have done this on 2 j7's now and i forgot the last part. So change your quick tiles and there it should be

Also, u do not have to keep using Odin and twrp every time. Just install the folder in priv app and reboot. Check notification quick tiles. It is up there. I did it again myself a 3rd time just to make sure. If u cant get it use allcast. Smart view only works if u have a chrome cast or roku anyway. And mirrors your screen onto the tele.

Oh, I do it every time because when something doesn't work, I always go back to my working MM backup until I try again. Then of course I have to re-upgrade to N, unrooting in the process, thus having to re-Odin etc. I had looked there in the buttons each time to see if it needed to be added too and unless the icon is not the normal icon or not labeled appropriately, it wasn't working. Although casting did work when using a casting icon/shortcut downloaded from google play. So i can live without a drop down as long as casting actually works. I wonder if this fix works on all rooted nougat roms that have it disabled.

Hmm weird. Its stumped me. Are u just trying to mirror your phone? I cast movies with an app called terrarium and it has an inbuilt casting feature. Btw, The icon looks normal. See screenshot. I have no idea. But all cast is a good one. Let me know if u want premium i can link you to my cloud with modded app

Every app works except goodlock... How do I access the star named apps?

The single APK opens the app to an all white page at the moment and it won't let me update it since it's not yet officially supported. I heard that the 9 apks will get it to work, but im too lazy to download so many apks for just one app to work.

You can access them via QuickShortcutMaker (download from the Play Store)

Love the new recent! But I get a blank white screen when opening good lock as reported bh some users. I'm on a N950U.

How can i get the recent app changer to work i install it and nothing changes...also tried to install all other apps but i just want the task changer to work

I didn't do anything for mine it just worked of course I installed all the aoks. Still good lock just shows a blank screen.

I would definitely install all the apks. It worked for me. I anyone else getting the blank screen for good lock?

What about the good lock app itself?

Yoo this is pretty cool, but I use gestures for my navigation, and having this my recent a won't let me go home is there any way to change this?

Guys it worked for me !!
Guys all you have to do is ...
1. download all apks and install them
2. Downlaod and install Nova luancher
3 . In the home screen make a new widget and choose "Activity" then choose the apks that you downloaded
4. Now you have them as seperate apps :fingers-crossed:
