Sony V: How to enter twrp recovery by hardware keys - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Anyone know? Enter by software is easy but hardware keys I don't know.
And my battery got problem. I charged it to 100% and start using to 70% then I restart, after that the battery percentage drop to 26%. I kept using till 15% and battery drain very fast after that in few minutes.
Is this problem caused by battery or by the ROM? I'm using RR ROM.
Thanks guys.

[Q]Battery indicator showing wrong?

The last couple of days I've got a weird problem. When my battery is fully charged everything seems okay and it drains in normal speed (compared to stock).
But when my phone runs out off battery and i start to charge in the beginning everything seems fine.
But suddenly it can go from 75 to 100% in 1 minute. When i look at the stats in MIUI ROM it seems like it's not at same height as it was the last day of 100%. Maybe only 80%.
Sorry for my bad English, but i hope it makes sense.
I've wiped battery stats in CWM. But is it possible that the phone actually is only 80% charged, even though the indicator shows 100% after wipe?
Because if the ROM think the battery is charged and wipe stats it will afterwards only charge to that point and the battery maximum will decrease over days?
If that's possible, how do i full charge the battery? Just leave it in the charger or?
I hope you can understand what I mean.
Thanks in advance
Hello
Does your phone charge to fx 75% and after that doesnt get higher until after you restart the phone?

Yes excactly. But the numbers differs.
Today it charged to 100% though.
Got the same problem?

have you try calibrate your batt again
yes my friend have this problem too, maybe there is software bug
After flashing Celebration HD 2.0.1b I first used Battery Calibration from market to wipe battery stats. Afterwards the battery indicator problems started.
Yesterday i decided to wipe battery stats manually in CWM and drain to phone to 2% before charging, and afterwards I was able to fully charge the phone.
So maybe the bug in is Battery Calibration app?
I decided to install Juice Plotter to monitor the battery and compare it to one build in in MIUI. Just to get some more data.
Hello again
Yes i had the same problem as you, with my previosly 2 lg optimus 2x, and returned them because of the problem you mentioned. I am on the third op2x and luckily this work good
So if i were in your position i would try to go to the dealer and shift the phone with another lg optimus 2x.
Best regards

The user said that he started to have problem after a new rom and wiping battery stats, changing phone for that is not the smartest move at all. Is like changing phone because your rom doesn't work.
I have a similar problem, after you wipe battery stats you don't have a reliable indicator, for me the phone took 3 hours to get from 99 to 100%.
I also noticed that my miui ( 1.8.5 same for 1.7.29) doesn't update battery stats when the screen is off so all those plotter don't work, and i think this messes up with the battery indicator (I guess the phone doesn't have enough data to make a decent estimate)
I think is miui + wipe battery stats that can be problematic
I know that but i am just saying that i also had the same problem with the stock rom.
Best regards

How old is the battery? How many cycles does it have?
I know from laptop Li-Ion batteries that the voltage vs. capacity is not linear.
When discharging, the voltage will steadily drop to a "wear-level" where it will jump to an almost depleted level. When charging, this "wear-level" will be at the top.
Why I am telling this? Because if this mapping is kept in SW and you wiped it, Android needs to relearn it again. So at 1st complete charging/discharging you would see a % sudden drop/raise, but at the next cycles it would be linear with time (although the total time will be smaller than a new battery).
When laptop/phone battery tips talk about calibration, it is so whoever monitors the voltage (circuit in battery or SW) to know were the wear drop will be, so your estimates to be better.
As an example, I had a very old Thinkpad that did not have any calibration, and it would discharge to about 40% and drop to 5% within seconds. But when charging, it would raise steadily to 70% (from that 5%) but 70% to 95% in seconds. After years of use, that percentage gap would just increase (40-5 got 60-5, 70-5 on discharging).
PS: my current Thinkpad has 4 years and the battery capacity is 49% with 150 cycles. But this one has a nice feature where if the battery was above a certain percentage, plugging AC would not charge it (and thus save a few cycles). I used it set at 70%.
PS: LiIon batteries have cycle count, heat and time as main enemies. Also don't like prolonged (think storage) low charge.

[Q] Urgent Help: Battery drain 100% to 10% in just 3-4 hours

Hi guys,
Since last week my Ace battery react very weird, it drains from 100 to 10 in just few hours. Currently im on Meizu ROM. (Previous ROMs: Democracy, MiUi, Nightly)
I have applied many tweaks to save battery life but all went in vain.
Guys please suggest me for this situation.
Thanks,
Swapnil
Change ROM and try..If its still not working, get a new battery
Controversies,controversies everywhere :what:
Already changed the ROM from democracy to Meizu, but problem still persist.
Is there any tweak to save my battery apart from the new battery option?
Thanks,
Swapnil
check if something prevents your device from entering deep sleep. (background processes)
then charge your battery, wait till its full (till you get notification in setting, that is isnt charging anymore)
=>
use the hell out of you battery, till completly depleted and phone shuts down.
=>
recharge battery, wait till you get notification that its full => keep charging for some hours. (best way to do this is to charge overnight.)
might work...or not. just try it.
Check whether the battery is swollen or not
If swollen replace it immidiately
This only could be the problem
Encoded by Me, Decoded by xda
Is this a new ROM that you just switched to? I had faced a similar issue when I switched to one of the ROMs. Thankfully it wasn't a batter issue. Let your battery reach 100%, go to CWM recovery, in advanced select wipe battery statistics, do not charge the battery till the battery goes to 0 and the phone dies. Check after that. You can check your battery health by dialling *#*#4636#*#* and going into battery information
Hi,
Thanks all of you for your reply, the problem is somewhat resolved.
I have wiped out battery status, installed the batterybinstat apk and its worked for me. Now my battery last for 1 day with wifi on.
Thanks,
Swapnil

[Q] Xperia ZR C5503 Battery indicator error

I've gone through this issue since I began to use it, from 4.3 to 4.4.4, this problem has never been solved.
when I charge my ZR, for example, to about 75-80%, then the battery indicator on the right corner of the screen directly jump to 100%.
but if I use the phone to battery level about 27%-30%, it will immediately shut down. No battery remain!
after I recharge it and start the phone, the battery indicator shows that there is only 1% battery left.
does anyone meet the same problem? How to solve it , it really makes me feel insane!!!
THX!

have you tried reinstalling software? or trying another rom from different region? re-calibrating battery?
It sounds lika a bad battery, i had the same issues on my old Motorola Defy.
Are you on stock or custom rom?

The same problem im facing with my xperia zr......
It's most probably a bad battery; goes to 80%, detected as full, so shown as 100%, discharges until 30%, shuts down because actual level is close to zero. It's unlikely to be a kernel error, since nobody else seems to be having this problem, and because of the fact that the kernel was updated from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4. It could also be a problem with the battery sensor circuit, i.e. it could be reporting the level wrong; this seems unlikely, though, since if the level was wrong it wouldn't shut down at 1%, it would drain the battery completely, which would make it unrechargeable.
TL;DR - Change your battery, and (optionally) flash a stock kernel FTF from XDA to be sure it isn't a kernel issue.

Battery problem

My phone got weird battery problem
My phone is 2 yr old & battery replaced last yr
S Off using custom rom insertcoin senseven artmod
I think physically battery is ok
Problem is phone shows battery discharging very quickly
after that what I do
reset battery stats by power off or auto shut down by low battery then holding vol up & power button screen on till phone off again then start phone again it will shows increased battery %
For eg using phone for 10 hrs with 1 hr screen on time it discharge 100 to 0% then I reset battery stats & start phone again it will shows 65% battery
2 nd thing if I'm charging phone it wether phone on or off (let's assume 35% ) it's % not increased but it shows phone using more power after some time it will shows less battery (15%)but in reality phone is charging after resetting battery stats with above method it will shows correct %(55%)
I tried these methods to correct it
Flash stock firmware again unsuccessful
Flash stock ruu again unsuccessful
Also tried vol up + vol down + power button holding for 2 minutes to battery stats reset
What I should do ?
I count manually battery life it's above 24 hr with screen on time of 2.5 hr

Did you re-downloaded your apps after flashing the ruu or you have tested the battery directly after flashing the ruu? (to make sure none of your apps or settings is draining the battery).

What about your apps? Like @alray asked. Have you tested with just the barebone stock rom with no apps installed?
I had a similar issue a while ago it turned out to be "Gsam Root companion" after removing the app my battery percentage returned to normal.

Err! Strange could be battery problem but it's weird how clearing stats cures it temporarily.
Have you tried resetting USB host mode with Vol up+down + power for 2 mins?
Maybe charge to 100% in all modes (on, off and in recovery) wipe stats reset USB host mode and reboot and monitor.

yes I tried Vol up+down + power for 2 mins
Unsuccessful
Whatever I do it always shows decreasing battery % but after battery stats reset it jumps to higher value
Even phone is off & put on charging battery shows decreasing trend but after reset shows correct %
Totally pissed off
This is latest drawing uhhh !!
I think your battery is going to die soon. Most likely some of its blocks are complitely dead, that's why it shows that kind of stats

But how it possible to have 24+ hr battery life + 2-3 hrs SOT ?

Did you try to run your phone without rebooting to see how much it will last? Also, did you try another charger? Judging from your screenshots my guess is your battery is dying, but that would mean you couldn't get that much off charge and SOT to save your life. My battery is still pretty good, and I get just over 3 hours SOT and 36-48 hours off charge

ok let me explain screen shot
Anyhow I charged phone to 100% start it use it for 14-15 hr with 1-1.5 hr sot it goes to 0%
switched off or auto off
not charged
Battery stats reset with vol up + power button for 20 sec (it shows green HTC then goes off again)
Start phone again it shows 60% battery again (not charged )
Use 7-8 hrs with sot 1 hr approx
Goes to 0% again
Repeat process again shows battery 30-35% again
So this is screen shot history

I understood your screenshot. So, every time your phone shuts down, you do the reset thing, right? I would like to know what happens if you just try to turn on your phone after it shuts down. No reseting, no nothing. Simply try to turn it on

That's a lot like my old Xperia X1. Turned out it was charge regulator issue. You might want to look that up. If I remember correctly, Xperia had that regulator on its motherboard. I changed it and everything was fine after that. I think M7's charge regulator is in the battery, so we're back to faulty battery. But that's just my opinion, you might want to monitor charging current to see if your phone is getting correct charge current

I have 3 HTC phones in my family I use their charger randomly
My sister's HTC One m7 battery is fine no issues
I think my phones motherboard can have some issues as in warranty period it's battery changed 2 times so it could be !!
I got confused as after 1st battery replaced I hard brick phone & HTC changed motherboard after 2 months of that battery replaced again
Now I don't know what it is ?
I wish if battery is faulty it should dead asap so I can replace battery

Well, it could very well be motherboard issue too, but that was my last resort as it means you're pretty much screwed if your warranty expired

If yes where motherboard or any other chip like charging usb ?

Battery dropped from 57% to 2%

After I flashed latest firmware my device booted and then suddenly turned off and battery dropped to 2%.
Any solution for this? Is my battery dead?
same for me, happened once from 60% to 6%
try to calibrate your battery
as for me, I'm using L-Speed for calibrating. No problem so far.
If still happen, then maybe your battery is damage

Sometimes battery drops suddenly. Charge it again and see how fast it charges. If it charges completely in few minutes then battery is fine. Also about the calibration. I really don't think you need battery calibration if you are using latest custom roms. It updates battery stats itself on rebooting.
