Magisk safetynet not passing - P8 Lite (2017) Discussion

I installed magisk v14 on this phone, everything works fine, except the safeynet, why don't let me hide my root. Does anybody know if this problem has a solution right now? Thanks.

Try this.

Iv been trying to figure this out myself, the above method didn't work for me, have no idea of what might fox it but I know what doesn't, there is a magisk safety net fix module, that doesn't work. ?

Safety check was successful but ctsProfile: false and basicIntegrity: false

Also modules that I install are not appearing on the modules tap it's almost af if my Magisk stopped working. All I did was uninstall emojione and try to install a ios emoji app and this happened.
Yes, the SafetyNet check was successful (a reply from the server was received) and the check determined that your device does not pass SafetyNet.
Try completely uninstalling and reinstalling Magisk and the Manager.

How do I uninstall it then? Nothing happened when I clicked install and it just rebooted the device... And I do not have a backup so I can't choose the option "back to stock" under uninstall

Well, you obviously have a faulty Magisk installation... There's an uninstaller zip in the release thread. Flash that in recovery.

If you really want to pass safety net I'd highly recommend that you don't install Xposed!

That depends... You can't pass SafetyNet fully, but with the No Device Check module you can make it pass the CTS profile check. So if you have any apps that only rely on that, you might be good to go.
Of course, having Xposed installed may cause other issues, but that's another story.

Hi! I've tried your suggestion and it works for ctsProfile, now showing true. But I still got basicIntegrity: false. Any other useful suggestion? Thanks in advance.

Hello, so I'm in the same situation, except I can't manage to get SafetyNet control to pass... I also have both statue on false, and I can't figure out how to solve it. I've searched for hours a solution, but nothing seems to work. I tried re installing it, hiding the manager... Nothing works. If anyone could help me, that would be really, really appreciated :/
I precise that Magisk and Magisk Manager are up to date, and that I have TWRP installed.

Before you keep trying things, make sure that you have the basics taken care of. There are some requirements and necessities for MagiskHide to work. Take a look here: https://www.didgeridoohan.com/magisk/MagiskHide#hn_Basics
And when asking for help, make sure to include device, ROM, and other necessary details. And logs... Take a look here for that: https://www.didgeridoohan.com/magisk/MagiskHideHelp

SafetyNet Check fails

Hey guys,
I've got a problem with the SafetyNet check.
Yesterday I rooted my Galaxy S8 and installed the Magisk Manager App und the newest version Magisk v14
Now I wanted to install Snapchat, but I can't due to the fact that the safetynet check fails.
I already reinstalled Magisk, unchecked, checked the box with magisk hide, checked the box for google play and snapchat in magisk hide.
I don't know what to do anymore. Do you guys have any tips for me please?

Try the universal safetynet patch that's in the magisk forum somewhere. I would link it but I'm in my phone atm and out.
Edit: here https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/xiaomi-safetynet-fix-t3600431 - install it in twrp, not through magisk manager
Also, next time please post your magisk log here so that someone who knows what they are doing can look at it
I have seen someone else's log here, suggesting that you may need a patched or custom kernel for it to be supported. I don't have a Samsung phone so I can't confirm though.

Thank you, I uninstalled xposed framework and used the unsu script and it worked for me.
But now I've got another question. How do i get xposed work for my phone without failing the safetynet check?
I wanted to install snappref but it won't work this way

For the moment there is no such possibility if Xposed is installed on Nougat to SafetyNet failed, without Xposed is SafetyNet Pass Green.
Ok thank you, where can I read if it is available?
You Can install universal safetynet fix on recovery mode

Magisk 16 Now TV detecting root

Has anyone else experienced issues with nowtv detecting root.
Now TV updated the app recently was running on magisk 15.3 fine, then started to detect a modified boot img. Its on a Samsung Galaxy a6.
I wiped the tablet and started fresh last night, stock rom, upgraded to Magisk 16, get the same message again on now tv, that its a modifed boot img.
Have it hidden within magisk hide (this used to work)
All other streaming services are working fine (Netflix, amazon)
It passes the safety net test fine.

Having the same issue this end too if anyone can point us in the right direction.

If none of that works, maker sure to provide logs (it's described in the link).
I fixed it by repackaging/hiding the magisk app
Sorry, noob question but what do you mean?

liboemcrypto disabler
Hi, I found the final solution. The liboemcrypto disabler module is for us. I used it on Redmi 5 Plus with OmniROM 8.1 20180812 and Magisk 16.6. I tried everything and it seems to me crazy in SafetyNet, which perhaps does not even have to do. Then I installed the module in question, restarted and everything works perfectly. Thanks to "ianmacd".

Custom Roms and Banking Apps

Hey guys,
i am on Beast Rom with my Mi9 and my Banking App (o2 Banking) will not work. I tried everything with Magisk Hide, Changing fingerprint of Device and unrooting. Nothing seems to work. On xiaomi.eu without Magisk everything works fine and i need my banking app.
Anyone here who faced similar problems and found a solution?

Nope....
Did you try repacking the Magisk Manager app with a different name?
If you haven't already, clearing your banking apps data is essential otherwise it'll remember it already failed a check. Also from within magisk check if you pass safety net. If not try magisk hide props.
I am in the same situation with ING Homebank, tried everything mentioned above. when I unroot and remove magisk everything works fine. Any solution anybody?

Safetynet checks failing with Magisk 20.4

hi, i just flashed my xiaomi mix phone with Magisk 20.4. everything is new but the safetynet checks are failing.
i have previously tried on riru and edxposed. the checks say YES but i still cannot load pokemon go. i think those fixes are fake and not working, Google seems to be able to detect it still.
Can anyone help?
thanks.

Having the exact same issue with my Mix 3. Just flashed a few moments ago. Been looking at the other threads and it seems that no fix works as of now. Hoping that it isn't permanent as Google is cracking down on unlocked bootloaders.
Try to hide what you want via magisk hide.
Sorry, but that is not helpful. Same thing here. Device passed SafetyNet on 20.3. After upgrade to 20.4 it fails. What can I do to figure out what changed?
please refer here to set it up in your phone.
Be notice: If you don't use edxposed, just skip it. If you do, please remember to install canary version of edxposed in Edxposed manager !

Thank you! You were right, this was not caused by the Magisk upgrade, but by EdXposed. After upgrading to Canary version SafetyNet passes again.
I'd also like to add (in case someone stumbles across this thread looking for answers) that Magisk v20.4+ has MagiskHide disabled by default. On a fresh install you will have to enable it before Hide will be able to do it's thing.
