Problem installing MIUI9 from JDCTeam ROM - Xiaomi Mi 5 Questions & Answers

Hello.
This morning I tried to install the development ROM of miui9 from JDCTeam's and it don't start. I did a wipe and installed the MIUI dev rom directly after wiping. Now it displays the MI rom and doesn't not pass from that.
What should I do in order to install the ROM correctly?

are you installing MIUI rom from fastboot?
i think (i read it somewhere here or xiaomi.eu forum) if you want to comeback to MIUI you must flash it via fastboot

stock in boot after flashing global stable 7.1.19

when i flash xiaomi.eu rom 7.1.19 via twrp is was succesful but when i try to flash global stable 7.1.19 via twrp
i got stock in boot logo
please help me can i flash global stable rom when i came from xiaomi.eu rom?
the global stable rom is 8.1.2.0 ...
at this page you will find the official roms (stable and dev) with also the link to the flashing guides to accomplish the task
http://en.miui.com/download-299.html
Do you accept/use/like other flashing methods?
advice: do a backup, put it somewhere (your pc, etc) (but not in the phone) and then use the miflash tool / fastboot (wich will erase everything).

Cant return to MIUI from LineageOS

Wipe everything
Install global developer zip file
When reboot, twrp says no OS installed
Help pls
if the recovery method of flashing the full rom fails, then you have no other recourse except to flash via fastboot method.
take note of this "Please wipe all data in Recovery mode if you want to update to a discontinuous ROM version, or downgrade to an older ROM version using MIUI full ROM pack. If you upgrade from MIUI Stable ROM based on Android M to MIUI Developer ROM based on Android N, please flash it via Fastboot update. Recovery update might cause upgrade failure."

Did you just tried rebooting to system after flashing? I also got that error "no OS installed" in TWRP so many times, but rebooting to system with no problems at all.

Unmounted system before flashing ROM .
in my opinion why just not use rom from xioami.eu because you have custom recovery .

The reason is, that you can't flash OFFICIAL Chinese (Developer/Stadle) Rom with cusom recovery (TWRP). But you can flash anything esle. Like Lineage OS. If you want to use MIUI Rom, you have to flast a Xiaomi.eu ( developer or stable) rom. NOT OFFICIIAL CHINESE !!! If you prefer Official Chinese Global rom, you must download a FASTBOOT rom (not recovery) , and flash it in fastboot mode, with MiFlash.
instead of beating around the bush, why not follow the official procedure of flashing an official miui rom
if you are coming from a custom rom, as specified herein?:

When can we expect official RR for mi max 2?
It was already available for redmi note 4 which is having the same processor.
You have to wait for custom Rom until miui release the kernel source which is must have to develop a custom one. please be patience...
If you flash rom with out error, Even no os installed warning, you can boot into system without problem.

Can I just flash official stable .zip on aosp rom?

Hello!
I want to go back to MIUI on my Santoni (Redmi 4X). Currently I have AospExtended ROM and TWRP recovery. Can I just flash official stable .zip from Xiaomi website through TWRP? (miui_HM4XGlobal_V9.2.5.0.NAMMIEK_c6f74c37a1_7.1.zip)
Also AFAIR my phone was originally on Chinese/English software, so this Chinese/Global ROMs are universal or not?
Many thanks in advance!
Yes You can flash MIUI ROM via Recovery method.
Wipe data+dalvik+cache+system
Flash Your ROM Zip
Flash Lazy flasher(needed if flashing MIUI ROM)
Clear dalvik & cache again
Reboot to system
Wait for 5min Atleast at MiLOGO

MIUI 11

So finally there's MIUI 11 officially announced in China. XDA recently provided the links to download recovery ROM based on MIUI 11 for certain devices here- https://www.xda-developers.com/download-miui-11-beta-now-for-13-xiaomi-devices-changelog/amp/
These ZIPs are chinese beta builds and my question as a xiaomi.eu 's ROM user is-
HOW CAN I FLASH A CHINESE BETA ROM USING TWRP WHILE CURRENTLY I'M USING XIAOMI.EU ROM?
Thanks in advance ;p
u don't. I tried them. they have anti-rollback feature. u will be stuck in them. u won't be able to flash twrp. fastboot will reject everything saying anti rollback hszghsjcklsj........ like something. I tried. my phone got bricked. but somehow fastboot was on and I unlocked bootloader then in edl mode flashed stock ROM. I must say that I was not able to access even recovery.
in short, the way to go back to using custom ROMs/recoveries are destructive and could brick ur device and u may not be able to recover it anytime soon.
So, I risked my phone and tried (that was the only option I had). Here's how to flash Chinese beta (or official MIUI) when your Xiaomi device is running unofficial MIUI like xiaomi.eu's MIUI or even a custom ROM-
Again HOW TO FLASH OFFICIAL MIUI CHINESE/GLOBAL ON A XIAOMI DEVICE THAT IS CURRENTLY ON A CUSTOM ROM
DISCLAIMER: THE BELOW MENTIONED METHOD IS WHAT WORKED IN MY CASE, I thought to help if someone needs help in this case because I didn't get any
Step 1. Make a backup of your data and wipe every partition (except Internal storage, USB OTG & SD card)
Step 2. Since MIUI has anti-rollback, you've gotta flash the recovery ROM with a lazyflasher like tool. (Lazyflasher didn't work at all in my case. So use Dm-verity disabler, Force encryption by @Zackptg5).
Note: You don't need this tool while flashing xiaomi.eu ROM or custom ROM. YOU DON'T!
Step 3. As mentioned above flash both zips and reboot to system.

Need some tips regarding flashing a Mi 8 SE

Hi.
It's been a while since I flashed some ROM's so I am out of the loop a bit.
I just bought a Mi 8 SE off ebay. The ROM is the so called fake ROM MIUI GLOBAL 9.5.8.0 (Android 8.1). I intended to flash a new ROM and to my surprise it already contains a custom TWRP recovery. The TWRP is version 3.2.3 1102. Is this a really old one? Should I reflash the latest TWRP from TWRP.me or can I use this old TWRP to flash?
What I want to do is flash Xiaomi.eu MIUI 11 20.3.26 (Android 10). Do I need to format DATA in TWRP and then transfer the Xiaomi.eu ROM to the phone when I try and flash? Do I need any GAPPS when I flash Xiaomi.eu ROMs?
One more thing. Out of interest how would I go about flashing the last stock Chinese ROM for the MI 8 SE? Would I use MiFlash tool?
Any tips would be gratefully received.
