charging light after OTA

has motorola fixed that little LED after this update?

I don't see how they could release this phone without noticing that... so stupid.

Moto's official explanation is that it isn't a charging light but a "sign of life". It only comes on(blinks) when battery is too dead for the phone to turn on charging mode. This is to let you know its still alive. Would be nice if it was a charging light though.

Charging at Night
To be honest, I'm really glad that they decided for it to be a "sign of life" light. With my previous phone (Milestone/OG DROID), the light would bother the hell outta me when I'd go to bed at night and charge it on my nightstand.

Light Flow
Light Flow has an option for this and a lot more. you can make the LED one color for charging and another for when its full.

That app is for the front LED. Not the side tiny little light next to the microUSB port.

There's a light on the side?! I just had to look now to see it. I had never seen it before. I'm running the leaked OTA, when does it even light up?

With the OTA applied, the light now works if the phone is OFF.
Once the phone is switched on, the light goes out.
And the phone is plugged into a charging source, of course.

Wow I never knew this existed. Interesting...I guess. I don't think I've ever seen it light up.

I tried it too and it lights up a second then the phone is turning on, the led then turns off. Glad its working.

I saw that it existed, but had never seen it light up. Until I plugged in my phone with no battery in. Then it lit up. I was running .890 and that was the first time I ever saw it.

LED colour while charging ??

hey just bought a 3 weeks old HTC ONE..
When it charges it looks like the LED colour is RED not bright orange..
I don't know if it is because the LED on this HTC ONE is a bit dimmer than my first HTC ONE i had a few weeks ago...
it't seems to charge just fine, and i called HTC and they said the LED was'nt able to show RED in LED ??
any one else with something like this?
also sometimes when charging the screen touch is not as responsive as it is when not charging ?? is that normal

HTC use led can be RED in charging and GREEN when you have notifications or fully charge...

All One that i had in my hands have red led.
The same for my old One X and One S of my friend...

HTC Usually use 2 colors for leds in their phones, RED and GREEN, but there could be problems with the LED or if some bug occurs, there could be both running at the same time and from there you get the ORANGE-like color.
I had a HTC Sensation XL that had the same stuff at LED's and on custom AOSP ROM, while charging and notification recieved, the RED LED was on and the GREEN was flashing, both working in the same time and then you could see a ORANGE effect.

Xperia T Flashing red light

Hello i have problem with xperia T, my phone wont charge, it doesnt show the red light, but giving signs of life, when i put it on charger with lock power button it blinking red light for the moment and then stop and disappears, any suggestions ?

Just plug it in to the wall charger and let it sit for a while (30 mins?) to get some juice. It may not look like it's doing anything... but just be patient and see what happens. Then try to turn it on... it should be fine.

Are you using the stock wall charger that came with the phone?

yep that one.

charge it at least overnight, but preferably 24hs it will come to life eventually. This has been reported often and charging for a prolonged time makes it work again.

Hi guys, I have the Honor 4X, and today when I wanted to turn it on, nothing happened. When I click the power button is flashing only red light led. I read on the internet that you have to remove the batteries but this model can not do that. The phone does not respond to the charge and any key combination also does nothing. You know how to fix it?

Service center is your best bet...

looks like the battery might be out of charge for flashing red light, so the charging port could be broken and your phone died

any thing else u done before this happens ? otherwise might ur battery died !

If the battery is dead, the led would not light up.

it flashes red when low battery before shutting the phone. also the battery will have a little charge anyways

im having a red led light and shows a empty battery icon when i turn it on what to do guys help me.
sorry for my bad english. if i connect to charging port it shows honor powered by android and turns off and again shows and turns off by itself. it shows for 2 seconds and does like that.

Notification LED only shines green when charging

I always wondered if the notification LED should show me the charging status by beeing orange when it is charging but the battery is still low.
My P9 is only showing me a green light, not making a difference how much is left to charge.
I am asking myself, because i recently saw a Honor 6x showing the charging status by different colors.
PS: I have Android 7.0 running

Normaly it should be orange until the phone is charged 90% then the LED should turn green.
Did you try a factory reset or update to the newest Firmware.
Do you have a custom rom like BluWei or Lineage OS ?

it s all vanilla without any modifications. and yes, i factory resetted it several times :-/
CAN somone with a P9 confirm, that his LED can turn orange during the charging process? Maybe it s just the P9?

From 0% to 9% it's red. From 10% to 89% it's yellow, not green or orange and from 90% to 100% it's green.

ok, never got it below 20% because of i want to get easy with the battery (and not charging it above 90%)..but i will try noticing next time i charge :good:
but here again, the 6x it´s a deep yellow, clearly distinguishable from a green.

so yes, 90% upwards the light green turns into a dark one. As i assume that the color change also works under 10% i have to admit that maybe the coding of this colors is absolute i mean from 11% to 89% the led is green (a light green), so it doesn´t help me at all. apes must have programmed it by choosing which banana to eat.

i have the same problem
with my honor 9 lite non of other honor 9 lite have this problem
