Guide Installation for Unlocked Bootloader:
For better battery efficiency and performance make a clean installation, first flash the 291 Stock ROM with flashtools, if your device is with bootloader unlocked does not need root again just extract the boot.img file from the MIUI ROM and flash with flashtools / fastboot, This file is the kernel of the ROM and already comes with recovery, start in recovery mode and Wipe Data Factory Reset, done, select this rom for UB and install, finished, reboot to system.
Guide Installation for Locked Bootloader:
Select Wipe Data Factory Reset, select the ROM file for LB devices, install, done reboot to system.
The first boot takes a few minutes, after logging in to google and MIUI services, first install the Google Play Services application, installed, go to the settings> installed apps and select all permissions in Play Services and Play Store, just enjoy your MIUI ROM !!!!
Tips:
1 ° Xposed is 100% functional but I had better use of battery without the xposed.
2 ° Quick Charge 2.0 can be flashed soon after the ROM started or during installation without having to change the kernel but only functional for UB devices.
3 ° If you are on a nougat rom you can install the rom without problems, but if you fall into bootloop, open flashtools and flash only the apps_log.sin file and this will solve your problem!
4 ° The ROM for Locked Bootloader does not work with root, only xposed is 100% functional, no use installing after it will not work and will cause bugs or black screen at startup!
5 ° Xperia Mods Cyberian unfortunately is not working well or in some cases does not work at all.

yes it is working, and black screen can be solved by quickly pressing the power button twice
No way to add a google account, it shows "cant login"
EDIT - Finally after 7th try it let me in

If you cant log in Google cause crashes. You need to give Google permission

Forget about magisk and payment because this rom is based on stock rom which doesn't support magisk at all so no safetynet pass
Camera is working on lockscreen normally to me.
Even Play Service is crashing, all gapps is working.

If you have xposed , you can use RootCloak to hide your root privillage on some apps

In my mi5 64 GB whe I installed xposed on JDC AOSP rom in ZCX TWRP , first time after reboot and install official xposed apk and check the status of xposed, It show xposed framework was installed and active?
After next time reboot or restart device it change to 'xposed framework was install but not active' condition.

Try using Official TWRP, and clean flash the ROM, then install xposed

Download the aroma installer from OpenGapps and flash it right after your RR Oreo, the installer let's you choose which Google apps you want to include during the installation, just select the Google Camera and it also allows you to remove or replace useless apps from the base rom. I hope this helps you a little.

This needs a different camera api (Camera2 API not in legacy mode) and will never be possible on this phone.
Pie will *veryvery likely* come, you can peek into the Xperia ZL forum and see there is a preview of the work done so far. Once it's useable and the exposure won't distract from the development the wip versions will probably be posted by daedroza in the hope it gets to a quality that matches the LineageOS guidelines.

But in the main post, you mentioned the root with Magisk, but root checker says that only Superuser app is installed (Magisk Manager 6.0.0).No Superuser Binary files, and no Root user account.
Also in Developer options, there no option for OEM Unlock.
How can I get full root with this rom?

just flash magisk
Hello,
I found it allready. The Magisk Manager was version 6.0.1, and could not install the latest Magisk.
I've rmoved completely the manager, and install the latest Magisk Manager.
Then flashed latest Magisk, and everthing was just fine.
Great rom, works fine and stable.
Nice to have a data toggle in the power menu :good:

@raschad Thanks for the amazing ROM.Its working really good and smooth but has some bugs like
1) camera doesn't work
2) flashlight also is broken
3) After a while quick toggles doesn't work
And remaining bugs are same like other pie roms.

In addition to the bugs mentioned by @vikash1994b, I would like to add that the SIM card is not detected.
I have a D6502 model. I got the SIM card issue fixed by installing the path from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/development/rom-aicp-12-1-sirius-t3768981 (it's for Oreo, but worked for the Pie rom as well).
Camera and stereo speaker are not working, still pixel experience is good, thank you so much for your effort

Instructions to install gapps:
1-Flash rom zip and magisk (optional)
2-Boot the device once (yes don't flash gapps on first boot because of a bug with android setup)
3-After you boot the device once go back to the recovery. If you didn't flash magisk in last step your recovery will be overwriten by aosp recovery. If that happens just reflash twrp using fastboot.
4-Flash gapps
5-Boot the device now you will get error like "Android setup has stopped working". Just click more info and disable android setup from settings.
6-Login to your google account by running play store and follow the simple steps.
Android setup bug may get fixed in stable versions of gapps but for now install it like this.
I tried to follow the procedure updating my OmniRom 9.0 but the phone goes into bootloop.

Disable finger print unlocking and try again. Also uninstall any kernel tweak mods.
