I heard there's an official mokee ROM for the Z2/Z2pro, has anyone here used it?
I didn't see any threads about it in the forum but the guys using it with the Mi5 seem to like it

Hi there.
I'm using this rom almost since I buy this device (17 days). The only rom I didn't try yet is the AICP, and so far Mokee is the best for me.

EDIT: I try to install Miui 8 rom but I get bootloop so I go back to Mokee.
U-Touch and Manual Camera Function
Is U-Touch and/or Manual Camera working in any release of mokee?
If yes, which one?
And also, could anyone provide the changelog specific to Z2 and Z2 Pro of mokee somewhere in the forum?

Manual camera means where you can control ISO and Shutter Speed and everything
There is a manual camera compatibility test on play store
and, is there any way to activate u-touch (by a flashable zip or xposed)

Tried it and got NO COMPATIBILITY, so no manual camera support on CM13. I will be installing Mokee soon, so will test it there as well.
If you need U-touch - get AICP or stock ZUI.

I haven't yet rooted my phone..... I just wanna root if I get a Nougat ROM with U-touch and Manual Camera (or thr same with marshmallow)
Mokee is a choice coz it's officially supported
btw, please try the compatibility test on both the mokees (marshmallow and nougat) and reply

Hey guys . As many of you have heard the Camera NX gives full capability of portait mode without having dual cameras . With only one camera you can get Pixel XL like photos with this app .But it has a drawback . It only runs on Android Oreo roms . But I have modified the app to run on Nougat ( 7.0 ) devices .
Bugs: Front camera isn't working on this app but you can use google camera for front bokeh
I can confirm the app works. In potrait mode, viewfinder is a bit zoomed in though.
Also ui is a bit laggy on low light.

It's on my signature. Btw, I'm using RR by qwertyTom too, latest 20171230 build. App force closes sometimes, but works ok.

REMEMBER: Google Camera only runs on ROMs with the Camera2 API enabled. IF YOU DONT ENABLE THIS, THE CAMERA FC

-- Search for "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=0" and change it from 0 to 1;
-- If you can't find it, add: persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1

You have to install a rom which supports hal3.
Anyone already have photo sample from this app?
Post it here please, i could not try it for now because still in MIUI based rom, whis require HAL3 api from Nougat roms.

For simplicity, can try Los 14.1 by karevn. For customization options, can try RR by qwertyTom or unterwelt.
UPDATE: i found a new apk which is working absolutely fine on android 10 roms.
negligible or no freezing issue or shutter greyout issues. (rarely- with flash on pic doesnt click, so turn off the flash and click again)
personally i have tested it on Evolution x, Pixel Experience and Havoc ROM.
Features-
1. it has super-res feature with upto 10x digital zoom. Working absolutely insane?. (attaching sample)
2. night mode working perfectly on both cameras.

Most of the asus zenfone max pro m1(6gb) users facing a problem with their gcam. Problems are:-
1. Sometimes Shutter icon turns gray and doesn't click pictures.
2. Hrd+enhanced settings sometimes crashes.
3. Hdr processing stuck in the middle and need the device to be restarted.
Guide.:-
Either its the android oreo problem or the previous apks problem. But now my version of gcam never crashes or shows bugs as listed.
+ it has google lens support.
I am giving the link of the gcam. apk i am using.
Guys if the problem still happening, try switching to aosp extended pie rom. This rom. Is buttery smooth + g am never crashes even on extreme settings.

it's not working... The main camera interface comes up with no preview, but switching to google lens gives preview . if i switch from still to video, the app crashes....
Can u make a fix for the 4gb/32GB version also?
Btw, arnova's gcam is working fine with preview, but i miss ur tweakings...

As i mentioned in my post, not every apk work best with every rom. I just shared my experience was best the combination of this apk and aosp pie rom.

Could you maybe explain how you got it working ? I'm on latest Skydragon Pie Rom and everytime I'm trying to start the same you have I get FC.

Maybe it's related to rom! I'm on havoc and just installed the gcam and it worked with no change in settings!
Front camera fix and Tolyan009 gcam are confirmed to be working on nitrogen OS
Just confirming the steps here. To get this working on OP3T, I need to:
1. Install OP3T camera fix from here: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/op3fix/
2. Then install - https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/GoogleCamera_6.1.013.216795316-debug2.apk

I'm also on Havoc OS, Pie op3t 13 Nov release, does it conflict with the stock google app coming in the rom
Yes it won't install or update the pre installed gcam. You have to delete the app. Just go to TWRP mount system and delete GoogleCamera from app folder (or priv-app).
Now you can install latest GCam.

I think you should try it on Pie ROMs. You know, Night Sight was introduced in Pixel 3 which is a Pie release.

Just flash the zip and use this camera and settings.
Files were taken from LOS 15.1 so credit to its developers.

Create a folder inside the internal storage and name it Gcam, inside that one create another folder called configs and copy the xml file there.
Fire up the camera and double tap the grey area between the shutter and pictures, and select restore from the pop up menu restart the camera and you are done

try flashing miui fastboot rom with mi flash . a full flash that wipes everything.

Same happened to me a few months earlier. Flashing MIUI 10 (the last version then but i cant remember now.) fastboot file through mi flash tool with wiping everything solved it for me.
