hello guys, I have my Moto X 1058 all stock because I have a faulty usb so I can't get it to extract the unlock key to unlock my bootloader.
I would like to know if it's possible to do this on the phone itself with a terminal emulator or something like that, I really want to unlock it

i have the uk xt1072 4g is it possible to unlock bootloader as when i try it says device not qualified for bl unlock, and when i spoke to motorola they looked at the unlock data and said the moto g 2nd gen 4g is not supported yet for bootloader unlock?
any help is appreciated as phone feels useless with locked bootloader i just want to achieve root access
My device cid is 0x007 which i should be able to unlock
Here are a lot of XT1072 users with a rooted phone. As this is only possible with an unlocked bl the statement of motorola canĀ“t be true.
If your cid says "able to unlock" it should be able to unlock. Is it a retail phone? Have you deleted all the seperators in the key before pasting it to the motorola page?
Maybe look for a XT1072 user here on XDA and ask if he has any problems.
Yh should be straight forward so annoying pretty sure im entering key correctly not sure what issue is

It is unlockable, try to copy every line manually and make sure u don't have spaces somewhere.
I have a similar issue with the xt1072 (0x007). Motorola says it is unlockable and I got some unlock key but if I want to unlock the phone with fastboot oem unlock KEY it is not possible to unlock. There is a message: unlock not possible enable oem unlock in the developer menu. But there is no option in my developer menu for enabling oem unlock.
Is it possible to get the developer menu option back or to enable oem unlock on a other way?

I resolved my issue with first doing a factory reset, see www_androidpit_com / how-to-factory-reset-the-moto-g-2014 and after that I have this options and unlocking the bootloader works like a charme.
Hi,
Some time ago I unlocked the bootloader and rooted my device. Didn't know it was possible to root without unlocking the bootloader (yes, i'm quite new to rooting etc.). Now my phone has a defective headphone-jack and I need to send it on repair. Anyone know how to re-lock the bootloader so I still have the warranty?
Currently running sLIM 4.8 by Wajk.
Use flashtool
Thanks, but it says on Sony's website that the phone stays unlocked even after using flash tool?
Code:
fastboot oem lock
Never done it in Sony phone but most of HTC, Nexus and few other brands I'm locking just with this command.

Friends,
I unlocked the Moto X4 bootloader, but I can not find any way to remove the unlock message once the phone is turned on. Does anyone know how to solve it? Thank you
Hi all,
I've purchased a used P20 Pro from a friend which has an unlocked bootloader and has been previously rooted. I normally keep my phones stock so I want to lock relock the bootloader (I have the code) but despite trying to follow various guides I have been unsuccessful.
Would anyone be able to guide me through the process of relocking the bootloader please?
The main reason I like to keep stock is manufacture updates etc and I don't have the knowledge to maintain a rooted phone.

I don't believe that an unlocked bootloader will prevent you from getting updates. As far as I know the only difference is the warning you get when you boot that "you can't trust the phone."
IF YOU BRICK YOUR PHONE IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
Don't know if there is another way but of you have fastboot and adb you can do it:
1. Make sure developer options are enabled
2. Connect your phone to the computer using USB cable.
3. Open a command window and type 'adb boot bootloader'
4. Once the device has booted into the bootloader mode type 'fastboot oem lock'
This WILL ERASE all your user data and you will have to configure everything from scratch. You will need the unlock code if you ever want to unlock it again so make sure you don't loose it.
