Really looking for this on my note 8.... The APK that worked on s8 plus doesn't work on note 8. Any suggestions?

Just reading some online rumors about the development of the New Galaxy S8 and the newest rumor out today says it will have a variant (called the Galaxy s8 plus) with a 6 inch screen and it is going to replace the Note line of phablets. Is this true or do you think the Note line can survive the problems of the N7. I love my N5 and want to stay in the Note series when I do need to upgrade
I really don't care. If the s8 plus has an spen and all the features of the note line then I'll get the s8 plus

Now that the much anticipated Samsung device was launched and because we've had in the past Note 3 to Note 5 and Note 3 to Note 7 ported roms, will this Note 3 to Note 8 be possible? I surely hope so bc this would bring a sense of fresh air into my Note 7 AHEM Note 3 xD

Maybe better to ask this in the Galaxy Note 3 forum Dev's here won't be porting it to a Note 3.
But an answer to your question, Yes it sure will be possible. providing the Note 3 dev's have not left you to buy the Note 8
I'm sure someone will get to work on it as soon as the system dump is available shortly after release day.

Actually, believe it or not I'm missing Action memo and personally liked old S-note much better. And frankly I don't see much software difference between N7 and N8, so you may be little disappointed.
two simple ways to do this.
1. Download the rom from: www.note8roms/downloads/note3/bootloaderunlocker/simfreeunlocktool
2. Go buy a Note 8

I own a Tab s3 as well. Notes gets synced between the Note 8 and the tablet but if I try to edit in the tab a note written with the ... Note It says It cannot be done since they are two different versions or the app.
This is so unfortunate.

Yeah in the same boat, this is actually very annoying. I can't seem to find a way around it.
I created a checklist in Samsung notes on my Tab S3, then edited the checklist on my new Samsung galaxy note 8, then when I go back to my Tab S3, it says I cannot edit it due to being edited in a different version of Samsung notes. I don't get how Samsung did not think of this.
I got the same issue but tried to find the same version of Samsung Notes (v2 and above) on Note 8 and installed it on my Tab S3. I can now edit my notes created on note 8....
How can I get this version?
I have Galaxy note 5 and tab s3 and I face the same problem although one month ago I could edit in both!

Did you go something different? (Galaxy S7 Edge, LG V30, Pixel 2 XL, etc)
Or - Do you still have the Galaxy Note 7?
I got the Galaxy Note 8.
S7 Edge. Have gotten to where I don't miss the S Pen much. Looked at the Note 8 and found it a bit awkward to hold. If I didn't have the S7E I'd probably buy the Note 8, but as an upgrade I wouldn't even spend $200, and I'd have to replace all the cases I use in different circumstances. The few things I don't like about the S7E are not improved in the N8.
