Having same problem on Blu Life One X2 running Drax Rom (MM6.0)
Magisk Framework 14.0
Magisk Manager 5.4.0 (57)
Doesn't matter if I install through Magisk Manager or TWRP. Either way it says I have been successful, but nothing shows up in Manager under Modules. Just "No Modules Found".
Here is the error log. https://pastebin.com/ZHPunfj3
The sticking point would seem to be "sendfile failed with 2: No such file or directory", but I don't know what file or directory it is referring to.
Magisk SU works great
Downloads (available) show up
Just can't install any of them
Tried uninstalling via TWRP, but it didn't help.
Want to try uninstalling through Magisk, but not sure whether to use "Restore Stock Boot" or "Complete Uninstall"?

Hi guys, I'm actually on stock rom (android 6.0.1) with Androplus kernel v40 on my Sony Z5 Compact.
I currently have SuperSU 2.78 SR3 and Xposed systemless v86.2. I also have Magisk v8 installed.
I want to get rid of Magisk (I know it's possible), but when I flash Magisk Uninstaller zip, my root is gone. If I flash supersu again (any version, even 2.76),it tries to install systemless but it's not installing su binaries (a problem with ramdisk).
I can't uninstall Xposed ; if I have Magisk installed, Uninstaller is working but after reboot, xposed is still here. If I uninstall Magisk, Uninstaller doesn't work and ask for Magisk.
I've tried to flash again Androplus, but I still need to flash Magisk in order to avoid ramdisk error.
I've tried to restore Boot from the Stock Backup (backup done just after clean flash of Android 6.0.1) with TWRP : I got stuck on Android Startup (after the app optimization), so I go back to today's Boot backup.
What can I do to uninstall Magisk and use systemless root? Use another kernel?
Thanks a lot
UPDATE 1: I've tried to update to Magisk v9 but if I do so, I can't install supersu (sr1 3 or 4).
UPDATE 2: I've tried to install v7 or v9, but when I Uninstall, v8 is still here.
Which files/folder must I remove to get rid of magisk v8?
UPDATE 3: I want to upgrade to v9 without any traces of v8, or totally remove Magisk to have only root and xposed
It was initially posted here
Bump please
Thanks

At this point, your boot partition is hopeless mixed with so many different installs, many of them will not play happily with the other unless installed in the right order.
Your best bet is to start over with a stock ROM completely, or at least a stock boot partition. Then install one by one the mods you truly need. In this case, it seems like root and xposed are you highest priorities.
Hi, thanks for the reply.
Should I totally clean install, or just the boot partition?
Thanks

Try the boot partition first, no harm if it doesn't work first with that.
Though Run magisk uninstaller before that. And if course do a data backup.
Thanks. Uninstaller aren't working. Maybe there is a specific one for v8

It won't make a difference if you are back to stock boot. There probably will be an extra magisk folder in /data which you can delete manually afterwards.

Hello,
I seem to have a problem with Magisk Manager, it doesn't install modules when downloaded... Modules stays empty after reboot.
Anyone else experiencing these problems?
Thanks!

Yes, same problem. Using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 (GT-5220, it is a x86) using Lineage 14 7.1.2 with integrated Houdini.
Magisk and Hide is working well, Safety Net passes also.
When installing Sony Framework it is downloaded and installed and shows up in modules, but after the reboot it is not in modules anymore and in download section it has the not installed status. Flashing the ZIP using TWRP it causes a boot loop.
Did you find a solution meanwhile?
Same here with my Asus Zenfone 2 Z00A. Installing modules with Magisk Manager works, but after reboot they are gone. However, installing via TWRP works.
But since a few days I'm on magisk v13 and now installing via magisk manager works.
So, you can give that a try...

Can confirm, works with V13
Uninstalled Magisk Manager V4.3.3, then dirty flashed latest Magisk Beta: v13.0 (c4377ed) using TWRP. After reboot I installed the Magisk.apk (Manager) included in the ZIP and now it works. Can install Sony Framework etc. Thanks for the hint
Is this still happening for anyone on v14? Since I updated Magisk Manager to 5.4.0 I think it started for me.
I can't install modules.
I have v14 and Magisk manager 5.4.0!
Please help!
Logs, people... Logs!
What kind of log, you ask. Well... Recovery log, magisk_debug.log, logcat. They'd all be useful to some degree.
Help us help you.
Edit: and if you haven't tested on v14.3 beta yet, do that first...
Installed 4.3 and solved the problem! Thank you Didgeridoohan!

This happens sometimes where the merging of the Magisk image doesn't quite work when installing from the Manager. Try installing from recovery instead.

Install the module in TWRP...

in my case, deactivating other Xposed module that i was using in the same time, resolved this issue ( it was module for spoof some phone/sim info) so try deactivate any other modules, and check again.
Getting Xposed working
-make sure Magisk v18.0 or higher is installed.
-download Riru-core v10 or higher and install it in Magisk Manager
https://github.com/RikkaApps/Riru/releases
-download EdXposed 0.2.9.6.beta (any updated zips will cause bootloop) and install it in Magisk Manager
https://github.com/solohsu/EdXposed/releases
-Install official or third-part Xposed Installer.
reboot.

Thanks. Works on my APL-AL00 9.0.0.167. Tried 'Exi for Swiftkey' module and it works too.
Be careful and make a backup before.
I got stuck in boot, if I rebooted with root. Without root it started, but nothing worked to uninstall this magisk modules again.
So I had to restore a backup...
Same for me. Stuck at boot. Phone can start without root. Now how can we uninstall this modules without magisk?

I found no way to do it because of no properly working TWRP on EMUI 9.
Before next try first install this module: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-core-mode-bootloop-solver-modules-t3817366

my alp-l09 when you install the riru and reboot to enter by recovery and open the magisk, it stays and does not pass the logo, but then you will have normal system without magisk and delete magisk completely, because even so the logo does not happens, I tried the two versions of riru V16 and V17 and in this update of the alp is that it does not work, if there is any other way tell me please

Hi,
I installed two weeks ago magisk 19.3 on my Samsung galaxy note 3 neo (android 5.1.1) with stock firmware.
Everything worked fine until today. I turned on my device and now magisk manager says that magisk isn't installed.
I tried all the possible solutions given to others with a similar problem, but they didn't work.
Is there anyone who can help me?
Thanks.
Moto G5 Plus XT1687
I've installed the Magisk 19.3 zip multiple times after Magisk Manager reported that it's not installed. It's as if Magisk Manager "forgets" that Magisk 19.3 is installed.
It's a known bug. A reboot fixes it. The fix is in 19.4 when it comes out.
