[Q] [i9000] Stuck in boot loop on GB, Encryption Unsuccessful on ICS

After having to restart my SGS I9000 more and more often, I decided to have a go with cyanogenmod. I installed v9 fine, and it booted properly. However after I restarted it (I can't remember why), I got the Encryption Unsuccessful screen...
I tried the various fixes to this, including swaping the sd card / emmc - no luck. So I decided to flash back to stock GB. When I tried that, I just get it stuck in a boot loop (cycle of Galaxy S screen for ~ 5s, then blank for ~5secs). When I tried CM7, it just sits there spinning the boot screen.
I've tried various options, and just get stuck at either boot loop, or encryption unsuccessful.
In the recovery manager I always get 'can't mount /data' or similar - but can normally manually format /data.
I don't have any trouble getting in to d/l mode, or recovery mode, and have been using Heimdall to flash updates.
I'm thinking I have some hardware problem - I can't understand why I just can't get it to boot anything...
Any suggestions on what I can try? When searching for options, I normally see 'Flash it back to stock' but that isn't working for me...
(Before I had all this trouble, my phone would often boot loop about 5 to 10 times before finally booting.)

Did you Try flashing Sock ROM ( 3 files) with Odin ? Do this .
Yes, I have tried that - same result as with Heimdall - just boot loops

[Q] AT&T Note 3 - sticks at custom unlocked padlock

Hi, I've found many similar/related threads and have spent a lot of time reading and re-reading, but with those attempts I haven't had success so I'm posting this before I get into a worse situation.
On the AT&T Note 3, I rooted with kingo and was following this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2577273 - after which the phone only booted up to the samsung logo with the unlocked padlock icon and the word custom.
I am able to get into recover and download menu's, have followed similar threads for the 900a on various steps to try to get it back using Odin with the MI9 and MJ5 firmwares, it was at MGL when i had the first issue and then starting looking for ways to get back. When i try with MJ5 via odin, the process resets successfully, the device reboots but still just comes back to the samsung logo with the unlocked padlock icon and the word custom. in Odin the status turns green and says Pass.
After this point i am still able to get into recovery menu and download menu, but just can't get by the custom padlock screen.
I have also tried flashing to MI9 in odin but that one fails, with the sbl1 fused 2 > binary 1 message.
Any thoughts on what I should try (or what to not try) next?
Anyone had success in this scenario with either fixing it forward or trying to go back another firmware?

Hi just wanted to share how I was able to get back up and running thanks to another forum member @coreygunz23 reaching out to me.
I was able to use this firmware http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2619941
Here was my experience :
- Flashed it,
- passed in Odin,
- phone auto rebooted came back up to the same custom unlocked logo screen then automatically showed the recovery message,
- then restarted again and came up with the animated samsung logo with sound,
- then came up to att logo and sat there for a good while
- eventually launched the getting started wizard and i've been good so far..

D950 g flex bricked only boots to twrp recovery can't boot to download mode. Help

Hey guys as the title States I have my old d950 g flex that I ended up selling to a friend. The phone was rooted on the stock ROM, well all was good when I sold him the phone but being is a unlocked at&t phone when we got it did automatic ota updates which at that point bricked the phone. So now at this point the phone only boots to custom twrp recovery . shows the LG logo then goes straight to twrp every time. I've tried wiping the data, DAV cache, etc still to no avail to fix the boot. Now I've tried to get it into download mode so that I can flash it back to stock but the phone will not enter download mode. Every time it still goes to twrp. Is there a way to force it to Download mode so i can flash back to stock using rhe flash tool. And or even a way just to flash back to stock without the flash tool and download mode ? I've been searching and trying to get to work for days to no avail. So if you guys could help I'd greatly appreciate at the point were I'm about to just throw the phone in a fire and then have to give my friend his money so I'd really not want to do that lol so please help if you can. Thanks in advance
Update:*** So after searching the internet for days finally found out this fix for bootloop (recovery or normal bootloop) because of the phone being stuck in twrp recovery upon boot it would not let me go into download mode. I did this fix.." http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/fix-stuck-custom-recovery-trying-ota-t2907508 "and phone immediately booted as normal then was able to flash back to stock using flash tool as ive been trying to do for days now so if anyone has bootloop issues forward to this thread
