I've just clean flashed latest official from Oneplus (wiped everything and sideload from stock recovery) Using Magisk 14.3 with the bundled latest Magisk Manager 5.4.0, bluspark TWRP. Root and root apps work fine with SafetyNet pass.
It gets stuck at boot animation if I reboot after load a Magisk module. OP3T A3003.
Anyone managed to get working Magisk modules in OOS? And how? OOS Oreo is really snappy I like it
Thanks
I have the exact same setup as you, so I suspect it may be the module you're trying to use that is incompatible with OOS 5.0.
I am currently using "iOS 11.1 Emoji" and "HEVC+SM" Google Camera modules, working perfectly.

Which module isn't working? As said above, depending on what it does it may not be compatible.
I'm using iOS 11.1 emoji aswell, iYTBP, Extended Volume Steps and Display SELinux Status without any issue.

I have the latest hydrogen OS and unlocked bootloader , and i want to root my phone but i just wants to know if theres any other files I need to flash other than magisk.zip
Nope, just flash the latest magisk zip and it's done. But yes, you also have to install the Magisk Manager when you boot up after flashing the zip.
I installed the latest one that came out today and my phone took a crap! Phone became very laggy and would freeze and sometimes not even detect root. I had to restore my phone back to last weeks version.

Hm... Absolutely no issues on my OP3T, OOS 4.1.6 and Franco Kernel r25 with Magisk v13.1. Maybe you have a module causing issues (long shot, I know)?
No issues here with Open Beta 10, Stock Kernel, Magisk 13.1 and Manager 5.0.4.
Root is working, passes SafetyNet with all modules activated and properly hide root from my Banking App. All good!

Just Simple flash the Magisk v13.1 and install the latest magisk manager v5.0.4.
I feel you should flash magisk immediately, while flashing the ROM through custom recovery. Install magisk manager after first boot.
You can do a dirty flash without formatting anything to get rooted.

Hi, I have a OnePlus 2 with:
TWRP 3.1.1-0
OxygenOS 3.6.0 (Coming from Resurrection Remix 5.8.3 7/7/17 release) I'd prefer going back to this if possible.
Android 6.0.1
Build Number: One A2005_24_170626
Magisk Manager 5.0.6
Magisk 13.2 Zip
Pokemon Go works fine with ROM until I flash/install Magisk.
I've tried hiding, unhiding, core only, full access, permission for apps and adb, disabled, etc. (rebooting after each occurrence)
However, I cannot seem to pass the safetynet at any of those stages even while unrooted. (Unless I'm doing something horrible wrong)
Am I supposed to have SuperSu installed in addition to Magisk?
If anyone could provide any help, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Update to magisk 13.3
Hello!
What version of Magisk are you all using for treble roms?
Ever since i install a treble rom (on DotOS for the moment), magisk keeps booting me to fastboot. I've used the 16.4 magisk recommended in the LineageOS thread (Link).
The official Magisk said the following in the release notes for 16.7:
Hot Fix (versionCode: 1671)
Fix booting to fastboot on half-treble devices (OP5/5T on stable OOS, maybe more)
Detect ramdisk partition for Huawei

Which seemed promising but when i flashed my phone and boot it doesn't recognize it (no errors during flashing), and Magisk Manager says that Magisk isn't installed.
Any help on this would be very appreciated.
Hello,
Until now I could only install magisk 16.4 on the mi8se without getting a bootloop.
Do you know if magisk 17.3 has already solved the problem?

OK thanks...
I leave the subject waiting until magisk 17.4
Any luck??? I've been getting Boot loops with every magisk I flash other than what comes with the recovery Wich is 16.4

Just install latest TWRP 3.2.3 from this thread, and choose Install Root in TWRP, it will instal Magisk 16.6 and working fine with both Android 8.1 and 9.0 of MIUI roms.

I have installed the latest pie stable on my op 3t. However it would never boot when installing with Magisk.
So for now I have installed it without Magisk and got it to work ok. However now I'm having same problem installing Magisk.
I can install and uninstall it from twrp latest, however when it's installed, it is just stuck on the initial screen with oneplus logo. And never makes it to the circle/dots screen.
I tried using 19. 2, 19.0 Magisk and 18.1.
Is there any logs I can pull or did anyone else have this issue?
Are there any other safe root solutions to try instead?
Any help would be appreciated

I always flash Magisk BEFORE the first boot. Also no custom kernels, especially not AFTER Magisk flash.
Is this what you did as well?
I couldn't get it to boot up before firstboot. So I went with normal nonroot flash so I could use the phone.
I figured it would not matter if I installed Magisk later.
I might try to reflash everything over again

Never had this problem until today. So I did some testing.
Magisk 19.1 causes it to get stuck at the OP logo.
I flashed uninstaller, reflashed the ROM, flashed Magisk 19.2 and it worked.
Are you using the 19.2 zip?

Yes, I had problems with 19.1 too, that the phone sometimes (if not always) would boot itself into fastboot mode instead of system, so at that time I moved temporarily to canary builds
I used this zip instead and it worked. Not sure what's different but I'm good now
