EDIT: TOPJOHNWU IS WORKING ON A FIX RIGHT NOW, WAIT FOR MAGISK 13 RELEASE OR ENABLE CORE ONLY MODE AS A TEMP FIX.
Posting this from my phone so sorry for any errors here.
Google seems to have updated safetynet within the last few hours, on 2 devices. That previously passed with magisk. There is an easy way to fix it, that I don't really want to post here as Google probably read the forums. Let's just say it's easy to fix, but you not using modules any more. Hoping for an update soon if that's possible and I can provide any logs or details to the dev if needed.

Yeah, it seems like Google has updated SafetyNet, now I can't pass the check
Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Same here.
Using Galaxy s6, same here.
Thanks it works
Glad to know I'm not the only one. They will probably patch what I've done later on but at least I can still use my phone with root. Can back to stock as I'm on a OP3T but I don't want to lol
So i need to uninstall my youtube ad free module?

Yep... may not be related, but noticed random "unable to parse data" toast messages earlier today. Later caught google play downloading. Killed download, then ran safetynet check. Failed CTS profile mismatch. Again, any of those symptoms could be unrelated. Just reporting anomalies.
bummer

Yeah, looks like another swing from Google.
how can i pass safteynet i cant get to hide my root to log into snapchat
Same here it definitely updated. Haven't done anything with my phone in a while. Suddenly failing the check
I thought i was the only one
If you can live without modules, enable 'Magisk Core Only Mode' in Settings and you'll pass SafetyNet again.
Works but..

I have a problem with Mario run, safetynet pass And magisk hide is enabled but Mario run always give me the 804-5100 error code
Btw, it seems not all modules trigger SafetyNet. My suggestion to people is to test each module one at a time and see which are affected.
To do this:
- Disable all modules
- Enable the first module
- Reboot
- Check if SafetyNet passes
- Disable the first module and enable the second
- Reboot
- Check if SafetyNet passes
- Repeat.......

Maybe try clearing data in the game. You might have tripped a flag and the game is remembering that your device has failed.

Yes And the solution is don't use modules anymore that work for me And you And everyone Even if you pass safetynet you need to enable magisk core to use broken apps like Mario run
I can confirm that enabling "Core Only Mode" in Magisk Settings does pass SafetyNet.
(Sigh), now magisk modules break SafetyNet. Now what do we do?
So i flashed magisk on my phone 2 weeks ago and everything seemed fine and awesome but then for some reason i decided to use triangle away to reset my flash counter. After doing that i couldn't pass the safetynet test. I tried uninstalling magisk, flashing stock boot and finally flashed magisk zip file but still couldnt pass the safetynet test.
Extra info: i have a Samsung Note 4 N910H 6.0 marshmallow.
Read that disabling usb debugging mode might help but no luck.
Applied other fixes as well
Any help will be appreciated

Install from Google Play the app called "RootBeer Sample", hide it from Magisk Hide, run it and upload a screenshot and upload the Magisk log.
AFAIK Note 4 doesn't have the original flash counter; it uses Knox and you can't revert that. The last device with a flash counter was S3/mini.

And vola it passed. Gonna keep monitoring it, i am afriad it might be luck it worked this time. Thanks everyone for your assistance
Also modules that I install are not appearing on the modules tap it's almost af if my Magisk stopped working. All I did was uninstall emojione and try to install a ios emoji app and this happened.
Yes, the SafetyNet check was successful (a reply from the server was received) and the check determined that your device does not pass SafetyNet.
Try completely uninstalling and reinstalling Magisk and the Manager.

That depends... You can't pass SafetyNet fully, but with the No Device Check module you can make it pass the CTS profile check. So if you have any apps that only rely on that, you might be good to go.
Of course, having Xposed installed may cause other issues, but that's another story.

Hi, my original plan was keeping my OP7 root-free because I need that banking app - which has an incredibly good root detection.
Long story short, a few days later and went back to my old habits... Magisk, Kernel, you name it. And the banking app stopped working again.
I do pass the safetynet test, have repackaged Magisk Manager. Google Pay is working like a charme. But Fidor bank seems to be better than Google, at least in this regard. I tried logging traffic using adguard, the app does not connect to anything, no dns requests as well.
Most of the times the app won't start at all, sometimes the first screen flashes for a very short period, and sometimes chrome opens with a webpage from the bank telling me my device is modified. How the **** do they know?
Maybe you guys may have a hint in what direction I could continue poking, because carrying a second phone just for banking is a little bit overkill...

I did. And rebooted. And reinstalled. And combinations of those.
A short screenrecord of what is happening as soon as I try to open the app can be found here (youtube link)
I have the exact same Problem
Everything works: Netflix, other banking apps, etc.. Just Fidor. I do not really know how their detection works, but I assume it's not just a root detection.
The weird thing is, it worked flawlessly 2 years ago Now it's just annoying..
Waited a few versions oft Magisk now, however nothing changes.
You're not alone
https://www.didgeridoohan.com/magisk/MagiskHide#hn_Hiding_root_from_apps
Same problem here ... since the new fidor version v3.14 is out, no way to getting it to work. Downgrade to 3.12 is futile, it forces the update to 3.14 immediately.
As an amendment to my post above (where you'll find pretty much all you need to hide from almost any app), I've successfully tested and hidden root from Fidor v3.14.0.1.

Thank you, the issue seems to have been addressed there. But as far as I can see, the canary version does not have the optional modules, correct? So I think, unfortunately I will have to wait for an adapted release of the regular magisk.

Thanks for sharing!
I have successfully installed the canary Magisk, have Magisk hide enabled, safetynet pass etc.
All bank apps work after adding them to the hide list, for example trying "Kontist" w/o hide gave error, with hide it works.
However, Fidor (3.14.0.1) is still not working for me :/
The app stays open for 1-2 seconds on the canary build, quite a bit longer than on stable version (instant close), clean cache + clean app data, still no luck.
So Fidor must use another detection method that the other bank apps don't have.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Similar Problem, my bank brought out a new app, that is detecting the root/custom rom somehow. The app closes and shows me security bull**** about root, jailbreak, custom roms. I don't know how everything should be hidden, SafetyNet checks out but this app can detect it. No idea how.

Still did not get Fidor to work. Crashes after the initial first 2-3 seconds. If I uninstall Magisk it works again. Disabling modules, delete files from sd-card, etc. didn't change a thing.
This also seem not to be the problem, since it works after uninstalling Magisk.
Fidor is hidden from Magisk, Magisk is repacked with other name.

It's all right there in the link provided. I'm not doing anything that's not described there... Of course, there's a whole lot of things there that I didn't do.
Here's my setup:
Android Pie.
Magisk v19.4 (19307), with hidden Manager.
The app on the Hide list.
My internal storage is full of Magisk files and I never bother to disable any modules (all of the ones I have installed can be hidden without issue). I also have OEM Unlocking disabled, but that's just by chance and not something I've done because of an app detecting it...

Hi everyone! I have a rooted Pixel 7, with Magisk working perfectly. The only issue i have is with Google Wallet, even SafetyNetFix and Zygisk hide list didn't work. Can anyone with a rooted A13 device pay contactless?
Yes, it works perfectly with GPay/GWallet.
You shouldn't need to do anything else after enabling Zygisk, installing SafetyNetFix, then test if it passes the tests.
Which it should. If it doesn't, use the 2.3.1_MOD2-fix, not 2.4.0.
Had issues with 2.4.0 being inconsistent.
Download 'YASNAC' from the store, and run the test.
Does everything work?
If no, install 2.3.1_MOD2.
If yes, make sure you kill playstore and then wipe storage and buffer.
Do the same for gpay/wallet.
Reboot, and it should work.
Nothing should be added to the Zygisk hide-list.
Hi,
I also had the same problem.
Then I deleted the latest safetynetfix and used the version: v2.3.1
It works fine with this.

I've had gpay working this entire time used it yesterday around 6PM EST. This morning went to the gas station and got the error the device doesn't meet the software requirements.
Just saw the update for Shimako and Safety net fix. Just ran it and cleared Gpay and Google Play. All looks good just need to test it out now.

I'll try again later with Shimako.
To test Google Wallet, you can remove your credit card and add it back: if it does not give you the "unable to pay contactless on this device" you should be clear.

Ok it passes tests and lets me add a card to Google Wallet without warnings. I'll try to pay ASAP
If anyone else sees this thread, keep up to date here: https://github.com/Displax/safetynet-fix/releases
The latest version is v2.4.0-MOD_1.2 and works across all devices (not just Google Pixel) for passing safetynet / google pay etc...
