Will I have an issue using VoLTE on T-Mobile with the international version SM-N950F? It's on eBay from a reputable seller for $739 . Please let me know.
If you search for your exact thread title you will find quite a few other threads covering the very same question. Please check the search before posting a question since it just clutters up the forum with a bunch of duplicate threads.
Can't you just get unlock code from eBay? But when it shows invalid Sim, does it prompt you to enter unlock code? If it doesn't then maybe it's not locked. Usually if the phone is carrier locked and you put a different carrier Sim in the phone it will ask you to enter unlock code.

He's not really asking whether the phone works on TMO, it's more about whether TMO features like VoLTE work (to which simlock isn't relevant and a thread already exists).
Not to get all technical but actually a couple threads already exist...

How do I check to see if my Vivid is unlocked?
I know I can use a non AT&T card (it's unlocked)but I want to use the keypad method where you enter a string of numbers and the network lock on off screen shows.
If your an att customer you can call care and request an unlock code. If not search online for an unlock site there are many.

This may or may not work. ive been on the phone with att 4 times in the past week for periods of up to 2 hours and i kept getting told that "the system shows that your device doesnt currently have a unlock code available. And, the system shows there is no date for when that unlock code will be available."
i thought this was att giving me the run around...over and over again... but apparently, after taking to three managers, and getting 2 call backs from dropped calls, theyre serious..
I am ofcourse talking about the sim unlock and not the bootloader unlock.
Carriers Put Delays on Unlock Codes
When I had my HD2 on T-Mobile, their stated policy was to require a minimum of 90 days on the account before they would provide an unlock code. After that time, I was able to get one from T-Mobile with no problem. AT&T probably has a similar policy. You might could get it early if you wanted to use the phone overseas with a local SIM.

thats the exact reason i gave them. I am going overseas and i need it unlocked. i have found that it is possible to get it sim unlocked though. just have to pay between 25-45 dollars at any site offering it. just be careful which site you want, as alot of them look.. less than dependable.
If someone successfully unlocked their Vivid from one of these website, please post the URL. Thank you.
cellunlocker.net I'm in the Army and i spoke to att and they told me the same thing about that they cant give me the unlock code or some BS. google'd and found this site and in like 20 minutes i got the email with the code. But you have to have a non att sim card to do it. thankfully my cousin has tmobile and i used his sim card.

I've unlocked a handful of Blackberry/Android phones for oversea use shenanigans for friends and family.
I used to be apart of the Crackberry forums and attained this coupon code in the past for 50% off ALL Unlock codes: crackb50
Enjoy.

Hello there.
I bought a Motorola Atrix HD with the purpose of using it in Tmobile with Tzones. The thing is that ive been trying to buy the unlock code and no luck so far. Its been 10 unlock services sellers and every one of them tell me that my Imei have been rejected or not working ? they refund the money and thats it, nobody tell me nothing.....
Anything of this had happen to anyone here ?
That mean is another scrap phone i bought ?
thx
Sorry didn't have this issue. The unlock code took a bit longer to get on this phone than any other, but they sent it to me within 7 days.
I used unlockunit
Sim Network Unlock
My Atrix HD doesn't seem to want to read my sim card. It SHOULD ask me to input a sim network unlock code, but it doesn't. Is there a way to force that prompt? I ask this as I wait for a unlock code from an unlocker site.

the only way i know is turning off your phone, insert the other provider sim (it needs to be already activated/working) then turn it on and you will see the prompt
Sometimes phones sold are stolen and reported then there imei numbers are bad or frozen the original owner needs to reclaim it if that's the case in order for the imei to be unlocked

You don't need to pay. If you are lff-contract, then you can call AT&T and they will give you an unlock code, free of charge. I have done it on multiple phones.

I want to unlock my atrix hd (at&t) to a different carrier,is yours unlocked? if so how did you do it? unlock code? some other method without using unlock code? how much did you buy the unlock code for? o;
You have to buy a code as there is no way to unlock the AHD for free. In order to enter the code, you need to be on a pure stock or close-to-pure stock rom in order to enter the unlock code.
If you're an AT&T customer, they may give you the code for free.

Ok thank you, i will probably buy an unlock code, and use stock rom, does it stay unlocked forever?
Just google your carrier and request unlock. I know At&t has an online request form to unlock the carrier . As long as you meet the requirements there is no charge for this service. Thirty minutes after submitting the request At&t sent me the unlock code. T-mobile I'd imagine would do the same.
As for your other question, I am curious too. I just reverted my phone back to stock At&t. Got to find someone with a non At&t SIM to see if my phone is still carrier unlocked. I say it is.
The phone will be unlocked forever. I have never seen or read a post where a phone became carrier locked after being unlocked by entering a code.
If you purchased a used phone, put in a non-ATT sim after reverting to a stock rom to make sure you receive a prompt to enter your network unlock code. If you are on stock and don't the prompt, the phone maybe be hard locked to ATT and there is very little an end user can do to unlock the phone.
bought it on ebay... better pay with then than some random website with your CC info.
I haven't used this service but I've seen it referenced several times here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...3&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123#ht_668wt_1121
What's interesting is that the MB886 isn't listed as one of the phones, yet people say it has worked.
I will try that, feel much safer then random website that I don't know if they are safe.

I purchased this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=221338036489 and the seller sended me the unlock code within a couple of hours. Also you can use gsmliberty.net. They are a very trusted site and works.

If you can't sim unlock using a code, the you can try to s-off and use the sieempi method

Your device is unlocked!!!
That will unlock the bootloader but I don't think it sim unlocks it also? My phone came sim unlocked but with past phones unlocking the bootloader never sim unlocked my phones. After unlocking the bootloader google these two words "sieempi wonderhowto" and the first hit should be a guide to show you how to sim unlock. Sorry I can't post links as this is my first post ever.
If that still fails to sim unlock your phone all isn't lost yet. To use that method you have to S-Off your phone and if your phone is S-Off than your other option would be to run a T-Mobile RUU. You would be stuck having to run a T Mobile rom but at least you could use your phone.
I would also contact HTC because it sounds very odd they would send you a AT&T phone if you sent them a T Mobile phone to be fixed. Maybe they sent you the wrong phone?
A new thread might show up in a few days from a AT&T customer saying HTC repaired their phone but sent them back a T Mobile instead
Can't seem to find it here, is there a way to SIm Unlock a T-Mobile Note 8 without paying some service to do it?

Pretty sure your carrier will do it, although they may have some specific terms that have to be met (e.g. account in good standing, etc.). Otherwise I don't know of any way to unlock without going through a service like you mentioned.

Just call T-Mobile and tell them you're going out of the Country and need a sim unlock because you're planning to use a sim card from another "Country" and then after you get it just stick a different carrier sim card in the phone and it'll ask for the code.

T-mobile doesn't use codes on recent Samsung phones. There is a Device Unlock app on their firmware that will unlock the phone after their server whitelists you and you then request the unlock inside the app.

Thanks for that info I'll remember that I don't have T-Mobile so I didn't know that.
