Magisk and bootloop? - Magisk

Hey everyone, sorry if i have a bad english :
First i have a Xperia M5 E5603, and my android version is 5.1
let me explain my problem, everytim i try to install any version of magisk (tried with 12.0, 13.3 and 14.0) with twrp my Xperia keeps having bootloop , and when i try with the Magisk manager i get a unable to unpack boot image!
Do you have a solution? thanks in advance !

Nobody?

Guess i will give up then...

Have you checked the troubleshooting guide? There's a couple of things about bootloops in there...

Yeah, i've tried everything and nothing works..
Now i'm stuck at the boot logo even when i'm flashing a clean boot img

What version of magisk should i install?

Okay so i tried to install magisk v12, and it worked, but again bootloop
So i tried magisk v14 with boot bridge (twrp ask me for it) and then i got a "assert failed: run-program("/tmp/boot_bridge/boot_bridge.sh, "init") == 0"

Flash magisk stable 14 or beta 14.5 then flash this file VerifiedBootSigner-v8.zip

It doesn't work, he failed and told me to upload recovery.log (i don't know how to get it)

Huawei P8 Bricked After Updating Magisk

Hi, well, as the title says i just updated magisk to v9 and my cellphone got stuck at the recovery mode.
I had magisk v8 installed, so i went to the magisk manager to update it but it said i had to do it manually and that the file was saved at MagiskManager, so i enter to TWRP and flashed the zip to update to magisk v9, and after that i turned on the cellphone and it appears a screen with two errors
Func 10 boot image
Error 2 load failed
I dont know what to do, i tried to uninstall magisk and re install it but it wont work.
I flashed a boot img from b317 (i think i used that update.app) and flashed the stock recovery using the Huawei Update Extractor, but now i got a bootloop or a blackscreen.
I need your help, i dont want to do a factory reset, THANKS.

Upgrade problem from magisk v13

Hi,
I had no problem until magisk v12, but i recently tried v13.1 and v13.2 and both failed during upgrade through magisk manager 5.0.4 and 5.0.5.
I also tried to install it directly from twrp 3.1.0.0. The install finished in a good way but when i reeboot i can check that magisk is not installed anymore.
I am running marshmallow on an alcatel idol 3.
By the way my sd storage is adoptable but i did have problem until v12.
Thanks for your help.
For me, 13.1 and everything before installed fine but 13.2 will not, I always get "installation error". I manually updated the manager, but it does not help.
Hi, same problem here, i can't update magisk, it says installation error.
How to solve that ?
I use rooted nougat on s7 edge
Anyone with this issue should post a recovery log from flashing the zip in recovery. In TWRP, go to Advanced - Copy log.
Same here ... no update possible 12-> 13.3

Booting to TWRP after flashing

Hello. I'm using a Zenfone 2 Z00A with the lastest LOS 14.1 at the time of this post.
I've been trying to install Magisk via flashing the .zip file in TWRP but everytime I flash it the phone doesn't boot to system but to the recovery. It only boots to the system if I flash the Magisk uninstaller
I flashed the su remove, uninstalled Xposed and tried to flash Magisk again but it keeps booting to TWRP. Same thing happening.
How do I solve this ? I just want to play Pokemon GO.
Thanks !
Flash Android Verified Boot Signer after flashing Magisk.
And please make a search in zenfone 2 forum before asking, there're tons of discussion about this problem.

Can't open boot Image after updating to v18.00

Today I updated my magisk installation from v17.3 to v18.0 using the Magisk Manager app, I rebooted my phone and I'm stuck on the phone logo.
I can get into TWRP, from there I tried to reinstall v17.3 and also uninstall v18.00 but for both cases I get "unable to open boot image" followed by a red "Error 1" in TWRP.
I have a OnePlus Two, running stock MM rom from OnePlus. Never had a problem with Magisk, any tips on how to fix it?
It's not a bootloop, I think boot image is broken.
Thanks for your help
I managed to fix this by downloading the stock rom and flashing the boot.img file inside using TWRP, reflashed Magisk 18.0 without problems.

K20 Pro China ROM Magisk Bootloop Problem

Read a similar problem from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/how-to/redmi-k20-pro-firmware-10-3-8-0-9-6-13-t3939647
I'm already unlocked and I was gonna stick with the China ROM for now, so I flashed Magisk. After an hour I noticed my root access WAS GONE. So tried restarting it and... bootloop! Magisk uninstaller fixed this BUT I want that Magisk. So I kept retrying... Fastboot, flash TWRP(another issue is TWRP wont stick no matter what it will be replaced by stock recovery), Install magisk, bootloop... Rinse and repeat.
I tried 2 methods installing Magisk. TWRP and the Boot Image Patching using boot.img from latest China ROM miui_RAPHAEL_V10.3.12.0.PFKCNXM_75ea367433_9.0.zip
Im running out of ideas, can anyone here help and share how they fixed it? Thanks!
you should change to Xiaomi EU rom, no issues with Magisk.
Try installing ver 18 or 18.1 magisk i had issues with ver 19 and up on pocof1. Also on pocof1 you had to install dfe (disable force encryption) and them twrp wouldnt be replaced with stock boot recovery. Also any update that comes when twrp is installed will rewrite it to stock recovery.
Wipe userdata/factory reset after installing magisk
I have the same issue and resolve it by install OrangeFox-R10.0_8-Stable & Magisk-v20.1.zip.
