Your Android OS is draining your battery waaay too much. Does MIUI still have the Android OS bug? Reboot into recovery and clear cache and davlik cache, and continue monitoring the Android OS. It should be less than 10%.
Hi.
Thanks for the advice.
I did what u said. battery usage android os 31% and sys 29% but when i change for unplugged usage it shows sys 18% OS 9%. The previous is the total usage. Do u think its fine?
Hi, I'm using MIUI Mint Berry Edition 1.10.28 and the battery is very good, perhaps you should give it a try. Another trick is to delete google talk if you don't use it
???
you think google talk drein battery?realy?

I believe the default options in Google Talk is to have it login automatically. I never used it before, but when I first got an i9000 I remember going through apps I didn't use, and noticed that Google Talk—even though I never, ever used it—was signing it and staying signed in the entire time I had my phone. I quickly got rid of it (although you could probably just turn off the automitic login).
hi guys!
THX for the ideas but I got one yesterday from another forum. I just wiped in recovery mode the darwick memory or what and now its perfect. I charged the battery fully yesterday at 17:55. Was playing and using wifi ,still have around 20%.

wipe dalvik , wipe cash , format
then put miui on your sdcard and flash it
after that , clear dalvik cash and wipe cash partition again
calibrate your battery using battery calibration app ,
reboot.
the problem should be solved , but i must tell you , miui is battery HUNGRY and u will NOT get more than 3-4 hours screen time
You could try Juicedefender. That should buy you some time!

I find apps like this normally do the opposite, Just another service eating up CPU power. Also don't judge a ROM's battery from the 1st charge. Calibrate and the battery tends to settle.. Though IMO Cm7 ftw, 2 days usage from it

I sort of agree, but it depends on how much battery the app is saving you. Sure, it takes some CPU usage to be able to work, but if it's saving you 5x as much battery by doing so, then it's obviously beneficial. Lots of people swear by Juice Defender, so it must work as such.
Hello ppls. I've seen a lot of posts about high battery drain. I am wondering about my battery life.
So, i unplugged my SGS at 10am,said 100% when i unplugged it dropped to 96% (i read its normal, the protection against overcharge), left at 10.30 listened to 1h of music,15m of just twiking, writing 1 sms,at 13:30 already 59%
Faze II: 15m on facebook via wifi,wrote 5 sms,played 10 mins- 39%
III 1h music +10m gaming+ 15m twiking, at 8pm 20%.
IV about 5m of audio recording, and probabably about 10m of gaming->10% at 12:30 am next day.
No 3g, wifi only when using internet apps, using juice defender ultimate.
I'm using Darky's rom 10.1 . I bought the phone with this rom, and i can't flash a new one cause i can't connect it to my pc in anyway(same on other pc's too)
To the battery : Is this normal? Thx
how much your battery last in standby mode?
Guys I have created this thread Coz I'm really confused as I don't remember how much my battery used to last before I was into flashing daily roms...now I'm on temasek 134.5 with Stephan kernel..and my battery drains almost 8-10% per hour without data,, wifi on and also 2g mode.baseband and ril matching...also I smart flashed calibrated underclock and undervolt and still no success and the best part is I recently bought brand new authentic lg battery from lg showroom I searched almost all forums deleted Google backup transport.apk also as in some forum it was mentioned tried all roms and all kernels the drain pattern is almost similar..kindly help guys..

Ohhh my God 2 days and 4 hours which version of temasek you using and which vadonka version of kernel? I'm using 135.4 temasek and used latest Etana stock lite kernel
In standby mode with turned on WLAN and on 2G (running Temaseks CM7 Builds, forgot the kernel) I had a battery drain of 1% in 4 hours. The room was pretty cold though! So not a lot of heat for the phone to deal with.

i think that is Temasek 129 or 130 (not quite sure because the settings show 1xx, but i know that every newer rom 131-135 didn't work for me)
kernel is Vadonka's OC (from 07-2012 i think)
btw this 2 day battery life is with processor 216-1100 Mhz setting (not with that 1504 mhz from antutu screen)
Guys any idea why my phone. Sucking. Battery even. No app instaled. Bare. Rom still. Drain. On standby no wifi. No data. No phone. Call same drain?

Pics or it didn't happen. Or maybe it was a battery reading bug, what happened after those 4 hours? Did it still not drain anything or started overcompensating for not draining in the first 4 hours?
Ya have that problem too whenever I get hope it drained less suddenly it's deepen the graph ...you guys really lucky having 2 days standby that's seriously great

It actually did happen and it wasn't a battery reading bug. After a few minutes of usage my battery percentage sunk by 1%. As usual. No clue how that happened but the room was seriously cold (around 2-3 degrees Celsius.) and I haven't touched the phone at all. Also the processor was clocked at 216mhz the entire time.
Unfortunately that was back in June and I have no way to prove it. This did really happen though. I was pretty shocked too when I saw the ridiculously low drain.

I've been running for about 10 hours now, usually my battery life is around 60-70% at this point, but I installed 4.4.2 yesterday.
I'm sitting at 31% with only 40 minutes of screen on time...
Hopefully we get a 4.4.3 soon to fix this.

same here, after updating to 4.2.1 and even 4.2.2 my battery life is worse. I used to be able to go 2 days with out charging and now my battery is down to 68% with only 43% on screen time and 6 hours off charger and nothing has changed at all with my apps. and my device DOES go into deep sleep properly. I have no idea what the hell is draining battery, man stock 4.4 was freaking awesome on battery life for me
Agreed. Battery seems to drain quicker on 4.4.2 then 4.4.1.

Chaos kernel will resolve your battery issues.
I'm really not seeing much of a negitive difference; I'm at 10h 33m and have 47% with my normal use. Emails, 43 minutes chatting, surfing all through the day and sms.
Nothing wrong here. Seems even better for me

Part of it might be the increased vibration strength and speaker volume. More power is being used for every day tasks such as using buttons.
I've been noticing higher battery numbers for the Google keyboard since the update.
I've killed Google Now as it was destroying my battery after the 4.4.2 update... screen is still the biggest killer of my battery though...
I went back to Nova Launcher immediately... no constantly active Google Now listening.
I've got 52% at 13h 23min on battery.
That's the *only* thing I've done after updating to the 4.4.2 OTA. No root, no mods.
Edit: Oh yeah, and I've got Lux installed for brightness control. Screen's a little dimmer than usual overall because holy COW I don't need it so bright all the time. Screen is still the biggest battery eater.

Greenify works on ART, xposed won't work which is required to use some advanced features.
Anyway OP, maybe try to wipe cache, and if possible wipe data too? Just don't forget to backup

I noticed more battery drain immediately after installing the first update and it's the same on the most recent one, 4.4 had incredible battery life.
Noticed same thing here. Same usage pattern and same apps as with 4.4 but battery life almost exactly 1/2 what it was. I'm hoping this will improve after a couple of charging cycles.
I have spice drean uno ruinng 5.1.1 official rom.
After using it for a while i am seeing that battery is being consumed very fast.
I tested it with temple run oz for 30 mins and battery moved from 100 to 48 in 30 mins.
Is it normal or something is wrong with my device.
Battery health depends on individual usage and maintenance. There have not been any such battery drain reports. Maybe get a new battery, that will help for sure.

I bought this 4 days ago.
Try this
Calibrate your battery with battery calibration app.
Then maybe you got a manufacturing defected piece. I would say bad luck. Try to get stats of battery usage in settings. Android 5.1.1 actually improves battery, Google claims and as I've noticed so it's hard for me to believe that it's causing the problem.

Then turned my device and wifi downloaded skisafari and gave it to my small cousin for 1 hour 56 mins and battery went to 74%
Battery discharged from 100 to 74 in 1 hour 56 mins.
Is it okay ?

Yup, its normal, switch back to kitkat if u want a bit better backup.
P.S: Most android phones gives only 5-6 hours backup on moderate to heavy usage.

I am not getting that much baatery
Hi, I have purchased a new Redmi note 10 pro but the battery seems to be draining relatively fast. I am on MiUi 13.0.3.0 update. There are some screenshots attached of the battery page. Also I was able to find the Actual Battery Capacity: 4997 mah. Can anyone please confirm that this is normal or not?
What is the over night battery drain percentage? And how much screen on time do you get in one full charge (100%-0%).
I bought a new device 4 days back. I'm on the latest miui 13. I checked on accubattery and saw the actual capacity to be 4700 but that app has been notorious for incorrect measurements.
1. I'd like to know what app you are using to get the actual capacity
2. I can't say how much your drain is from the SS. I can tell my experience. Im getting around 7-8 SOT % with 120hz. Overnight drain is under 3-4% max. I have debloated the OS as well so that might help as well.

Over night battery dain is 2-3% at Max I have manually disabled apps from running in the background. As of the SOT I am getting around 7-8 hrs (100%-10%) 120HZ
