Hi, i've only just noticed this evening that Google Assistant has appeared on my Nexus 4 and works fine. I'm on stock 5.1.1 with no root or any roms.
I thought that was only availabe for android 6 and above? Anyone else seeing this?
Google released Assistant for 5.0 and up recently.

I have a nexus 5, and love the newer KK launcher. I have my tf701 ordered and shipped but not delivered yet. Just wondering if anybody tried using the launcher?

Looks like it works with other tablets and phones too. It adds a Google now screen if you swipe all the way to the left and makes the bottom bar through. I don't it would hurt anything seeing as it is just an APK. Shouldn't need root or anything like that.

I thought it needed KitKat to work?
I think it will work on anything with jelly bean or newer. I'm not a hundred percent sure though. When I get my tablet in I will install it and give it a try.
Here's another thread about it.

I think a lot of it had to do with the Google Play services that were provided now. If you update completely Google now Google Voice, I think the google it. Launcher installed with just one apk.

I'm still on version 0.9.6.886092 because i can't update the google now launcher, probably because the TF701 doesn't has 4.4 yet. But it works fine =)
Edit: I've tried it again and now I'm running the latest version of the Google now launcher.

Is there any talk about MIUI coming to our great device? Which leads to the next question is MIUI is still a thing. I remember loving it back on my note 2.
It used to be one of my favorites too. But I have not seen anyone else talk of it. Not seeing it on website either. http://en.miui.com/gid-23.html

I think they are still testing V6 lollipop just for just a few xiaomi devices i'm sure ports will come when that goes in to stable
Even I am waiting for MIUI
I've tried everything. Ever since Google play services updated along with the AA app the app closes, and when I plug it in to my head unit I get a notification saying Google play services has stopped.
Anyone experience this? I'm on Marshmallow with Google Play Services 8.7.xx

Try with another smartphone, your CM13 might not be yet compatible with AA.
Marshmallow CyanogenMod might have some problems in the connectivity (ex. Bluetooth), CM12 might work...

Thanks for the advice, but it's been working on my phone with CM13 for 3+ months before the latest round of updates.

Thanks. That's not quite the issue I'm having, though. The comments didn't seem to be much help, though.

It must've been something in the latest build from my developer; I reverted back to a previous build and it is working again. Thanks for your help!

I'm curious if anyone running Android N Developer Preview 5 has had this actually show up as an update? I haven't been offered the update through Google Play Store and browsing the app in the Play Store still shows the old version. For those that have updated by downloading the .apk, have you noticed any issues it on Preview 5?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of running android auto on Xiaomi handsets? I've seen some reports of it running ok on global miui roms so just looking for anyone with any experience.
