Found a great, real leather, minimal snap back cover for the mate 9!
Really excellent!
Ok.. very little drop/fall protection but great scratch protection With small lip for face down.
High quality stuff and not bulky!

Hey fellas,
I usually post my reviews on the S3 forums, but recently got my hands on a Note 2 for a few days and wanted to throw some coverage up. I got my hands on the Rearth Ringke Slim Lite, which is an ultra slim polycarbonate case that snaps on the back of your Note 2, providing scratch protection to the back and sides. The rear features a matte coating, which helps provide grip to minimize drops. At 11$, the case is well priced and is made well, the ports and cutouts all line up perfectly.
Check out the full review below and ask any questions, I'm here to help:
Good review! Thanks
:good:
thanks, very informative review
just waiting on my nillkin to arrive but i might have to order this instead
Glad to help out guys. I have videos on the SGP Ultra Crystal clear and a few folio cases coming soon.
I notice with most of the snap on cases for Note 2, the top/bottom front edges seem like they are exposed on impact because the lips taper off instead of going all the way around the corners.
Is that the case with the Ringke too? Hard to tell from the video (watched on mute).
Another case comparison between:
RhinoShield CrashGuard Bumper
VERUS High Pro Shield
Ringke SLIM
After destroying my OnePlus X I deceided to get a case for my Nexus 5X, turns out it wasn't that easy to find what I was looking for.
Maybe this helps other people, although there are a lot of videos and pictures out there already, so this is just quick and dirty comparison between them which are important to me and not clear after reading some reviews.
Ringke SLIM
Pros:
Cheap
Excellent fit
Lightweight
Cons:
Sharp edges, annoyed me extremly when making a call, not comfortabel to the ears
Minimal protection I guess, sure you keep the back pretty clean, but I would not bet on it to protect the phone when falling down
VERUS High Pro Shield
Pros:
Good fit
Excellent protection
Cons:
Heavy and bulky
RhinoShield CrashGuard Bumper
Pros:
Excellent fit
Lightweight
Good protection
Neutral:
Buttons are hard to press, but you get used to this.
I personally like this, chances of pushing the power button in your pocket is reduced dramatically. If you dislike it you can put a little piece of eg paper between bumber and button.
Conclusion
So I ended up with the RhinoShield, and I realized that ones again it is all about compromises.
Do you just want nice, small, light, cheap case but far from good protection and comfort - go Ringke,
or are you maybe a outside worker with big hands, want maximum protection due to your work and don't care about size and weight - get Verus.,
or maybe you want good lightweight protection and don't care about the hard to press buttons - get Rhino.
This case looks excellent, has some grip so it doesnt fly out of your hands, and the finishing on it is perfectly matched with the Note 20.
Corner protection is also excellent as it curves up slightly. Video HERE
I have long liked Samsung OEM Wallet cases since they fully protect the front of the phone. I went with the LED Wallet case this time and the quality is excellent. It basically adds a front flap to the thin case you reviewed.

Let me know how it works once it takes a drop. On my note 10 the silicone was easy to chip off when dropped showing the teal under color on the note 10 version.
Its better than the years prior d protection lip around the front is sturdier than my note one and my wife s20 one
I don't mind the free case that came with it, but would prefer something a little bit slimmer if possible, and also with a better 'grip' to it. I used to always get S-Line cases, but can't see any at the moment.
I have been looking in Amazon (UK), and nothing really stands out
If anyone has any recommendations, thanks
Hi
spotted accessories for our new device on nillkin main site frosted covers available good bang for buck. and a bunch of screen protectors for x3, x2 and k30
While the euro site (much faster dely if in EU) only offers one type of screen protection for the mom. no cases yet.

The Nilkin is great - really can recommend it!

I went for this one in the end. It's pretty good, definitely better than the free one in the box, but it didn't have a hole for the IR Blaster, which I use a fair bit, but I managed to make a tough but ok hole in it.
Still not quite as good a feel as those old S-Line cases, which were really nice and grippy, but not bad and feels good enough.

Agreed! The Nilkin case I have features a sliding camera cover for the back. It's also screen protector friendly and works with most tempered glass offerings in the market.

I'm also waiting for that one. My brother has a Spigen case on his Redmi Note 8 and I absolutely love the texture of it.
I also bought the Nillkin blue frosted hard plastic case( https://a.aliexpress.com/_mr6gNt7 ) and it sucks really bad. It's very slippery and it caused my phone to fall twice off the table, where the second time broke my tempered glass. It barely protects the edges of the phone too and it's NOT anti-skid, means your phone will slide off a table like an ice cube.
Hi, i don't have POCO M3 yet but i ordered this case.
Seems good and since poco m3 uses low quality glass protection protecting the camera from scratches might also be good.
Nillkin Camera Protection Case
Any other good cases you guys recommend besides the one already inside?
@xwonic I was looking at that one as well, but I've tried Nilkin before and I don't like their hard cases. They're hard to take off/put on, don't seem to cushion a fall well, and start chipping/losing it's texture fast.
I found a nice rubber/hybrid case that's a good balance of protection and thickness and it looks nice. It's not as shiny as the mockup photo (I attached photos I took as well) and it's well made. The edges are raised so I can place face-down even with a glass protector installed, same with the back (I put a glass protector on my lens too). You can find it by searching "poco m3 rugged case" or "poco m3 shockproof case" on aliexpress or a local reseller.
Edit: I think it's actually called WLON Thunder case.
I'm using this one.
Good camera protection and clean materials.

I was looking at that one too, I like how it covers the camera module, but I was hoping it would cover the giant poco logo though haha. Anyway, if a ringke case comes out I might get that. I like their fusion x design.

i like how that looks @RXT00, very robust
Found it at Aliexpress, going to order one too
And yes, covering the Poco logo would be nice.
In Spanish "Poco" means "Lesser, fewer" or "Little quantity"xD
I also wish that were was a case like this where you slide and have additional lens, basically a modded version of the case i posted
