Nokia 8 device, Oreo.
How do you disable the notification sound when i plug in the live charger?
Thanks
Like you, I haven't found any options that allow it, but if the device is in "silent mode", there is no sound when inserting or removing the charging cable.
This is for Android 9 (Pie):
1) Press one of the volume buttons.
2) Tap the settings icon on the menu that shows the volume.
3) At the bottom of the screen open the Advanced section
4) Turn off charging sounds.

Settings are sprinkled throughout your Windows Phone, you might want to
customize a few basic ones as you start using your phone. These setLings
include turning the ringer on or off, setting display brightness, and setting up
your Region and Language settings.
ADjUSTING THE RINGER
Some devices have physical ring/silent switches. but on Windows Phone you
simply use the volume buttons to control the ringer. It might not be as simple
as a physical switch, but after you learn the process, it is quick and easy.
To adjust the ringer, simply follow these steps:
Turn on the display by tapping the Power butLon. You do not need to
unlock your Windows Phone device.
Press the volume buttons up or down. A ringer control panel slides
down from the top.
Tap the Ring icon on the right side to switch to Vibrate mode, or tap the
Vibrate icon to switch to Ringer modc.
To adjust the ringer volume, simply press repeatedly or hold up or down
the Volume button to adjust the volume level of the ringer.
Although this method is the quickest way to toggle between the ringer or
vibration, you can also simply press the volume down button and hold it as
the left side status goes down through the volume levels and finally ends in
Vibration mode.
ADJUSTING THE BRI(;HTNESS
Windows PFione 7 devices use various display tcchnologicr, including
AMOLED (active matrix organic light emitting diode), Super AMOLED, LCD
(liq uid crystal display), and SLCD (Super LC D). Therefore, you may find the
need to adjust the brightness setting for low light conditions or as a means to
manage your battery life.
To manage your brightness settings. follow these steps:
Turn on and unlock you Windows Phone.

Hello All,
I just put CM9 alpha 2 on my TP but I can't get sound through the speakers or the headphones, ever. The only thing that makes a sound is the alarm, so I know the speakers work.
If I go into Sound > Volumes, the "Music, video, games&other media" icon has a slash through it as does "Notifications". The "Alarms" icon has no slash, is lit up, and the volume works for that.
Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?
thanks.
[solved] Didn't know, but if you hold down the power button there is a sound control at the bottom you can turn it back on.
Hi

it's ok, found the problem and had fix it it's in sitting under accessibility i turn off the accessibility shortcut that why no notification sound i had turn it back on and the notification sound is back.
Anytime facing this issue, when headphones are connected media volume reduces to zero automatically. When we try yo bring it up, it automatically again goes step by step to zero volume.
DND mode is disabled though.
Please help.
Edit: Issue occurs with headphones which has only one button for controls and we select 'Control volume' option in Additional Settings->Headphones and audio effects->Headphone Remote button
Fix: Use only 'Control Playback' for headphones with one click button.
Song/video changes automatically
After setting it to "Control Playback", the song/video changes automatically.
Thanks for the tip! It also helped me with my Redmi Note 7 Pro.
I'm running COS 6.1 A.10 on my unrooted/unlocked European X2 Pro.
When I press the physical volume buttons, I very often don't see the sound control popup. Sometimes it appears and I can change the volume, but in most cases it doesn't appear at all. It doesn't make a difference which app I'm using - YouTube, Prime Video. I don't have an active BT device linked or a headset plugged in either. Quiet Time is turned off, all volumes in Sound & Vibration are turned to medium, the default function for volume buttons is set to Media Volume although nothing changes if it's set to Media Volume.
I used to have MacroDroid to change sound settings based on time/location/events but that's uninstalled. I still have Do Not Disturb which mutes my phone during calendar events. Regardless of any such apps, I should still be able to use the volume buttons to adjust the volume but there are no popups most of the time.
I just restarted my phone and the volume popup is back. I know this happened before but after a while it's gone again without knowing why. Does anyone have an idea what could be the reason and how I can get my volume popup back permanently? Thanks for your help.
