LOS 13 - LeEco Le 2 Questions & Answers

Hi guys. Is there anyone who is interested to keep the most stable and usable custom ROM (LOS 13) up to date with security patches. I know there are a few new rom out here, but all has issues.
If nobody interested to do, I would highly appreciate that if somebody would provide a step by step guide how to do it.
Many thanks.

Then you should ask that guy, if he can help you out.
Building lineageOS is not a kind of magic, if you look around at xda or lineage itself.
Where did you search for a guide to build it for yourself?

I was searching in lineage wiki but i have win7 as main system and just to build LOS i dont really want to install a full linux.
I have a debian jessie system, but just for testing , so its HDD capacity is limited and the recommendation is about 100Gig.
So i cant really afford a 200G+ ssd.
But seems like i have no other options if i want an up to date android or maybe its time to get a new phone.

I don't know "coding by heart" or better, i don't know what it means(not a native speaker...).
I know some c Coding an Linux Module development.
Furthermore Java and the typical web technologies.
And a lot of linux administration and kernel configuration...

Well then you should be able to code android Read any guide?
No.
But Android apps and most framework parts are written in java, so the language isn't a problem.
Any furhter information is in the android api documentation, so i don't think this is a major problem.

Well if that's the case maybe you can make a build from winxusers git? It is the port that is the problem. He hasn't changed every I9300 to I9305 in the rom. Wich is a problem
I will lay down the details when I get home from the cinema
If we're all beginners anyway I'll throw my name in the hat. I have no idea exactly what to do but I am a skilled C and java programmer (more so java than C) and I have experience with the Android build system. If someone can guide me I'm sure I can provide assistance.
Thanks man! I have very little knowledge in porting roms but this should help! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1598713
I'll check out the git when i'm @home from work and will try to build it.
I think i should start making a backup of my phone

Haha good idea
Still cloning cm10.1 sources, on my server @100mbit/s... then getting the compressed tar.bz2(thats faster than getting it directly via git to the local machine)

Tell me when it is done! We should be able to get it starting without anything working at least!
What about you? Checking out source and building?
What about using an instant messenger for short communication(google talk, jabber, whatever...) ?

[Q] ]Potenial ROM Development for LG L90 D415 Variant

As a first time programmer I was thinking about constructing a Vanir rom for the T-Mobile variant of the LG L90. I was wondering if anyone else would be interesting. If anyone is I would happily start the developing process soon. I looked into the ROM a bit but I also had the thought of maybe Color OS, Oxygen OS or a few other if possible but no promises on anything. I will accept help on and will give credit to those who help. Anyone one interesting please say and if there's any interesting roms that aren't so well known or complication with my ideas please tell me., cheers.

Exactly my thought but still have to look into it to see if it would be worth trying though, all it is, is a modified version of CM is why I might strive away from that idea
Oxygen OS would be out of the question, considering it isn't open source. But good luck on whatever you choose to compile. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'd be more than happy to lend a hand when I'm able

It isn't open source but yet it's built off of CM 11 from my understanding so it could be replicated even though it would be a pain for every small details but would be amazing and thank you I will take it into consideration.

go to google dev and download the source image. This way you learn as you go. They are all experimental so why not gain a lil expertise in how it runs while making it your own custom rom.
otherwise there is a posted rom if you just want to flash and go. the steps are in the rom op

Please Could Someone Build TWRP For Android 7 Beta

Hi all,
TWRP doesn't seem to be working on the Android N beta. Does anyone know how to build TWRP for Nougat on our device or if possible could someone point me in the right direction?
I would really like to get Google Assistant working and build prop editing seems to be the only way.
Regards
Lee
i`m already in contact with one dev from the honor 8 forum and testing twrp for nougat. at now it is booting but there are some things to fix before it is ready for release. i would stay away from it at now because you could not flash anything with it. i will tell him to start a thread here after the relevant fixes are done.

Thank you very much for all that you and your fellow dev are doing.
If he wouldn't mind starting a thread to keep us updated that would be brilliant.
I am willing to help where I can if needed.

This is awesome...thanks so much

lnxsurf greets!

Hi,
I am a software developer and very interested in more or less free Android, so I did install LineageOS on my phone. I asked me always myself how did the guys get the images running on devices which are not supported.
Maybe I can learn more about flashing devices here, or to build custom images.
Cheers!
