I am having an issue with my newly purchased Moto X4. When iPhone users send a video through text message, my phone does not receive it properly. The video is split into two texts, one with a still image of the video which does not play any video whatsoever, it's just an image. The next message that comes in is the audio of the video clip, but when you press play to hear it, it gives a message saying "Can't play audio. Try again" and will not work. Can someone help me understand why I can't receive any videos via text? I have only received them from iPhone users so far, but I never had this problem on my original Moto x. Anyone experienced anything like this?

Mine does the same if someone has a fix it would be amazing
Someone sent me an Animoji and it went straight to messages. I can play the animoji with no issues.

I never succeeded in making a Video Call. But when I was the reveiving party, al went well.
I use the latest dutch WM6.1 ROM. When I video dial, it gives an 'in conversation' bleep from the speaker on the backside, then says it does not work, and asks if I want to make a normal phone or send SMS etc.
I used the search for about an hour, but could not find anything else then other people having trouble.
Can I fix this problem?
Hi everyone. This is not a big problem or anything, but I still haven't found a solution. On my LG from WIND, android version 2.2.2 (the P999, so not sure if I should've posted this in the G2X forum), when i use voice control to send a message, after saying the message, there is an option to add more to the message. However when I press the little mic, nothing happens. I have seen the tutorial vid, and the recording just doesn't start for me.
As I said, not a huge issue, but would be nice if somebody knows the solution.

Haven't really tried sending messages via voice. I've been off stock FW (I have a p990) for a while so I can't really verify that on LG's messaging app.

Hey guys I'm on t-mobile and I've been having issues with sending video via mms and just want to know if this is normal. My sister texted me a video from her iPhone 6 the other day and it looked horrible. Very small and very blurry. She sent the same video to another family member (also iphone) and it looked great. I don't remember that happening with my Note 4, so I had my other sister with a a note 4 send me a video and it was also tiny and blurry when I got it via text. Turns out video I send them is also tiny and blurry but they can send each other video and it looks fine. I thought maybe it was because they're on Verizon, so I send my friend who is on t-mobile with an s5 a 5 second video and it's the same thing... Blurry and very small. I sent it to myself and it's fine. I know MMS is limited, but why can other people send short video and it's fine but when I send or receive it looks horrific? I don't think this happened on my Note 4. I know there are other ways to send video I'm just wondering why it seems to work fine for other people.
Edit: BTW I'm using Google messenger (tried it with stock Samsung app but no change) and instead of showing a thumbnail of the video that I have received, it's just a grey box with a play button in the middle. I've tried downloading them before playing them and it looks the same (horrible). I have made sure that it is set to automatically retrieve mms. Can't figure this one out.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and my mom has a Motorolla Next Generation, both through AT&T. When were are part of any combination of numbers in a group chat she can't receive my messages. It says it can't download mine. She only has this issue with my number, absolutely nobody else. This only started when i got this phone. I get hers just fine and we can text just fine one on one, but not on a group chat. We've checked every setting we can think of but neither of us really know what to look for. Please help because this is really annoying.
My fiance and I are both having problems with our text messages sending twice, terrible call quality, and a delay when receiving a text message.
We have tested this in the same room, and sometimes it can take 5 minutes to receive a text message. (I know it doesn't literally travel across the room).
Everyone I talk to on the phone complains about call quality and that they can never hear me. My microphone is clean and I don't have anything obstructing me otherwise.
Just looking for simaler experiences. And if anyone has done anything to fix this. Thanks!

I found that wifi-calling is crystal clear and text are much faster with it on. I have very poor coverage. I have the sprint magic box but it doesn't get enough signal to work.
my wife has been having issues with her S8 and i sometimes get dup texts or even missed texts. I have had sprint for over a decade but both got new phones last month and the quality hasnt been that great, i have a unlocked Note 8 and have activated the HD voice via shortcut master but the calls even to my wife def arent the best quality. not very happy
