[Q] Force closes after update JM1

After i updated my stock firmware galaxy s to JM1 using KIES i keep getting force closes from widgetsm, process.acore and samsung touchwiz. This makes my device unusable because i can't install rom manager and go back to my nandroid backup. If it isn't possible to go back to my back up how can i get back to my previous rom or flash another one. This is really anoying because i can't do anything with my device at the moment
I have also tried to restore a back up but there's no nandroid folder on my sdcard but i'm sure i've done the backup succesfully. is there a way to get into clockwork recovery?
Please help
Would it work to replace touchwiz with launcherpro if so how should i do that?

You don't have custom recovery installed.
If you have properly rooted the device, you will need to put the gear into download mode again, and flash the custom null_twrp recovery through ODIN, make sure you uncheck the reboot option in ODIN. Then boot into recovery, you should have twrp on your watch now. then transfer the null rom zip file to your gear, either with adb or mobile-to-go, then go into recovery, and flash the null rom.

No TWRP on Gear

hello I have gone through the forum and I have tried a few different times I've done the root process and then flashed the recovery through Odin but when I go back to get to the recovery menu the gear factory resets and restarts. I have to touch the base to my phone and start all over again. In short I have the SM-V700 I am trying to root, install custom recovery, and install the Null rom. any help I would appreciate.

Help required for installing custom ROM N920CXXS3BPL5

I wanted to try and install a custom ROM on my Note 5 N920CXXS3BPL5. As you would guess, I messed up. I wiped the whole system, including the backups. Now the phone is booting into TWRP. But I cannot go ahead from there.. Tried to install many ROMs, although they get installed, they get stuck at loading after installation.
Do we have anyone in UAE in this forum?
Can someone help me to install a CustomROM for this phone please....
Try gOing back to stock rom and try again .. If you can boot the phone into download mode you can easily install stock rom through odin or Samsung smart software...

Help please

I've just tried to factory reset my N950F, that had custom rom. This didn't remove my media files for some reason, so I did a full wipe from TWRP.
This has sent me into a bootloop, however I can still get into the download screen for odin. I've tried flashing TWRP again with this but while my laptop says pass it is stuck on 'Downloading, do not turn off target'.
I'm now waiting to download https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-note8/SM-N950F/BTU/download/N950FXXU5DSB2/259437/ am I doing something wrong or do I have to return to stock in order to use the phone again?
Would rather have TWRP and install a custom ROM.
Thanks all,
Andy
Download firmware, flash it with Odin run wait till device turn on, wait some time. Then just simply flash your ROM, root and stuff
