I've been using my X527 for a few weeks now, it's a nicely built phone and very snappy in general.
During the past week, I've noticed that my Speedtest.net results are terrible....

Same thing if I use speedof.me website - very low results.
Now, if I do a speedtest on my ZTE Z958 Zmax2, I get full speed on the same network, sitting in the same position.
Any ideas what the problem is?
I'm on this ROM:
Battery life is also terrible, shortest life of any phone I've owned to be honest!

Well I thought I would upgrade my ROM tonight and managed to mistakenly press the wipe date icon in Chinese and now have a stock 16s X527 again!
But after doing a factory reset and losing all my data - I'm getting full Speedtest results again....?
Time to think about getting that ROM upgraded now lol

I decided to take a look at my phone's signal strength as it layed beside me on my desk at home and was amazed by its signal strength of -77dBm! It's the first time it ever got so high
-CyanogenMod Nightly #145
-20.2810.30.085AU_3805.06.03.16_M radio
-Lord Clokan's latest CM kernel
I'm wondering what's the best signal you guys have been able to get, and with what mods (if any)?
-61dBm at the moment.do not bother to check it all the time
btw you are wrong because higher the value in dBm...weaker is the signal. It works in the opposite way...that means closer the value is to zero...better is the signal strength.

Haha yeah I knew that but didn't think about it while writing. Thanks for pointing it out!
Btw, nice signal you've got there!

Signal is very unstable for me. I'm experiencing the signal strength drops to -95dbm from -55dbm at the same place within a few seconds where as my Galaxy S is having -57dbm to -65dbm within the same operator.
Unstable 4 me too..(
Same here - the signal may even drop for some time within the same operaton and location
-79 dBm on Virtuous Unity v2.39.0
I got -47 and back to -59 , right up to -111. Depending on location. Still sucks tho as compared to other phones it stays at an even medium.

Hello
So i installed the null ROM last night on my gear after few days of very very tiring troubleshooting and hard work the battery life i now have is 3 hours tops. Now, i know that the Null ROM eats up the battery but is it really this bad or there is something wrong with mine.

Not true
You need to check what you have installed as most of the time that is what eats battery. Sometimes it needs a full wipe. You'll find even bigger saving with motion off
I got over 3 days on stock rom.
All is good now!!!
Hello everyone
thanks for your replies. it actually got allot better after i recharged it fully once. it lasts me about 2 day now with no Bluetooth internet tethering. So thanks again for your replies and help.

this forum is for i9305 the one with 2GB ram and LTE....
man your problem is obvious: you lose mobile signal...that mobile signal bar should be green all the way...if you look closely to those big downfalls on those graphs you will see that then you don't have, or have very low signal...and it will use more power to find it
turn airplane mode on when you know you don't have mobile signal...

All of a sudden for me too, GPS is now eating up to 15% of my battery and the Android OS is at 11%... I noticed this this morning. The only thing I installed last night was Greenify...
Quite similar to what I have. Android system and Android os always on top

This is new for me. I normally have pretty crap battery life but services and OS are normally never this high. The battery on my phone is so hit or miss. It 's behavior seriously changes daily. I don't get it.

By the way, it got me to 8.30pm yesterday before I had to charge. As bad and inconsistent the battery is, at the very least I can say it gets me to dinner without too much babying. I'm just concerned when it drains much quicker than usual which means I can't use it as much for it to survive.
OK, so I have a 920I running 5.1.1, and today I was almost fully on mobile data. And I got truly, down to earth, horrible battery life. How bad you might ask? 1 percent every ten minutes. 6 percent an hour. In standby. SOT stood at 1h 20m.

So, anyone have any explanation? I barely have any apps on here: WhatsApp, Clash Royale and Clans, Snapchat (not logged in) and Tapatalk. Thats it. I just factory reset the phone last week too.
Im starting to think there's something with my Google account, as poor battery life seems to carry over on every Android device I own. My gmail account is particularly old, since 2007 if im not wrong, so perhaps theres an issue with that?
Nevertheless, ANY suggestions are welcome.

It seems you played that new supercell game a lot.
Try package disabler pro? That usually helps with battery or try wipe cache and finally if those dont work than try reeset phone.

Not nearly enough to make the phone's battery suck this bad. My Moto X takes only a very slight hit when playing.
