Help With Uninstalling BK Plugin 2 & BK Disabler - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Themes, Apps, and Mods

So, I installed BK Plugin 2 and BK Disabler.
In theory, this should be a helpful application, right? Is it?
I found that soon after installing them and setting them up, I have gotten a few malware/virus pop-ups.
I'm thinking I either set them up wrong (not changing anything under "Service") or they did something to my Note 8.
I would like to uninstall them, but it's not letting me uninstall and deactivate them. Can someone help me?

Did you download this from Playstore and Paid for it or an APK from somewhere else?

How to uninstall bk.

That's the risk of downloading off of thrid party APK sites. Bought mine from Google play and it's awesome. Worth the money.

Mine works great too. Got it from Google play.

Sounds like OP downloaded from somewhere outside the PlayStore.

No problems with mine as well

sounds like a pirating fail to me

I use it since my note 7 to block any crippling update, Now I use it in my note 8, works great, not a single problem, and, yes, I bought it at the playstore

Mine works great. Got it from the play store. I never really understood why you would spend 1000 dollars +/- but you can't afford $1.99 app.

Hi all, I have bought BK Disabler through Play Store and was unpleasant surprised to find out the app was banned from it!
Anyone knows the reason?
What about license/updates/restore?

Will it work with the S3 watch and Android pay?

I looked over compatibility at Samsung.com, however i also know that the phones listed there are not all the phones able to connect to the watch. Anyone who has tried using it with a Gear S3?
And anyone who can confirm whether this phone will work with Android Pay as well?
Thanks a million,
Can't speak for the s3 watch but my Pebble Time Steel works perfectly with it.
Yes, S3 works perfectly, no issues with Android Pay and I'm rooted.

Where are you using it? What ROM are you using. I have tried the stable ROM that came with it and now a beta ROM 6.11.10. Both have had issues connecting to Samsung app store. And cant get Samsung pay
Has anyone been able to get the samsung app store to work on this phone? I'm able to get my gear s3 working properly but I can't download any new apps or watch faces and thus can't use samsung pay. Gear store seems like an empty shell with no apps populating in it. I'm on 6.11.10 rooted.

Same issue with the S2. The Gear Apps just shows a blank screen. Tried deleting data, reinstalling, factory reset of watch etc with no luck. I am able to log in to my Samsung account and watch works fine otherwise.
This is frustrating as it's stopping me getting the S3. I am on latest EU rom.

Can I ask how you managed to get Android Pay to work?
I'm not rooted but get an error message about the handset not being secure - I get something similar with AmEx Pay (in the UK AmEx have created their own app rather than use Android Pay).
Any insight you can offer would be appreciated.

If you're rooted, you must have taken additional steps to make it work, regardless of the model of handset you're using - but doubly so with the Mi Mix, which is a handset with no official Google Services support and that throws up errors on un-rooted handsets.

I guess if you want to call it an extra step, I installed the EU rom version for Mi Mix from xiaomi.eu, TWRP rc2, dm-verify and SuperSu.
So, at last, the Mi Mix has a serious problem with the GEAR S3 and the last MIUI.EU.
The GEAR Manager does not open the App Store for downloading Watch Faces and other additional applications. Once you have done the Samsung Login when you enter in the Store appears a white Page.
Any idea to solve this annoying problem?
I'm having the same problem myself still.

VZW Bloatware - Not much on the N8

With my Note 7 and its inferior replacement, the S7E, Verizon had loaded both phones up with a plethora of bloatware. On top of what was preinstalled, I'd constantly find new apps magically appearing every so often.
I subsequently learned that the spontaneous new apps were installed without my permission by DT Ignite, malware (IMO) pre-installed by Verizon. Once that was disabled, things quieted down.
My Note 8 that arrived yesterday had far fewer initial crapware games and apps, and I can't find any evidence of DT Ignite in the Apps Manager. Has Verizon finally smartened up, or do you think they'll find another way to pollute our phones?

It's a background app installed by carriers that will download and install games and apps on your phone whether you want them or not. It's very annoying to purge your phone of bloatware only to see it come back mysteriously by itself.

I had used PDP (Package Disabler Pro) to disable nearly everything it recommended on my Note 7 and the S7E that replaced it, at least until Nougat was released. After the upgrade PDP didn't work anymore, but I pretty much knew what to disable by then and DT Ignite was at the top of my list. Nothing came back after I shut that down, and the 2 or 3 security updates VZW has pushed since then didn't re-enable it.
I'm cautiously optimistic that the Note 8 will stay fairly clean ... at least until Oreo is released for the N8.
et t-mobile tu, brute?
interesting discussion chaps.
i know this is a VZW thread and i apologize for the intercept, but is tmobile likely doing the same thing?
would this ignition program find such apps on t mobile? i get the note8 friday from tmobile (my other phones are unlocked non carrier version so this is the first time ill need to look for stuff like this)
Funny I was just about to post a thread "what bloat ware should I get rid of on Verizon note 8?" This is a good start ☺

Most of the totally useless crapware cannot be disabled without a package disabler app
FWIW, the one I usually use (Package Disabler Pro) is not working on my Note FE, but, BK Disabler is.
I'd say it's well worth the couple of dollars vs dealing with unwanted bloat ware...

I avoid disabling anything to avoid issues when updates are pushed - I never disabled DT Ignite on my VZW S8 and I never had anything pushed on my phone. Also if you don't want to be tracked, you're using the wrong operating system to begin with.

Good for you, seriously, but that wasn't my experience. I'd wake up to new, unwanted games and apps on my Note 7 and S7 Edge pretty regularly. And after disabling DT Ignite, I never had a problem with any of the updates, including the Nougat release for the S7E. I had to disable DT Ignite again after that installed, but the 3 security updates since have all installed just fine.
Not sure if this is the right place but here it goes. I actually use some VZW stuff. I like the native VZW to VZW video calling. I also love the VZW premium visual voicemail. The VZW cloud is handy, but I can do without.
Anyone know how I get this stuff?
You mean on a non Verizon issued Note 8 or something?
Not bloatware, but I'm pissed ours didn't get the upgrade for the swipe down on homescreen bringing down notifications rather than a 2nd app drawer command.

I just got off the phone with VZW. My HD calling, video calling and visual voicemail isn't working. Not sure if the CSR was right, but she said there is an advance calling setting on the VZW N8 that I couldn't find on my unlocked Sammy N8. I have seen it before on my S8+ so I know What she is talking about.
I said maybe mine isn't provisioned correctly. She said she wasn't sure. I am going to call back tomorrow to speak with tech support

If you really want it, Nova Launcher can do this. I actually prefer using the fingerprint reader for this, though, and you don't need Nova Launcher for it (although I'd rather have Nova Launcher than not).
Yes action launcher does too but the Note is the only phone I usually use the default launcher with. The sensor isn't convenient to me yet.

Although I haven't tried it I've heard great things about the package disabler on AdHell 2... Plus you get ad blocking along the way which is nice and seems to be working fine on my phone for the last 3 days already...
Can confirm: BK with plugins working by the book.

Package Disabler?

Does anyone know what package disablers work with the Note 9, it's been a year a so since I was with Samsung and package disabler appears to have disappeared from the Play Store.
Can I get it somewhere else? does it work with the Note 9?
It works but it also gets removed from Play Store periodically then it gets reinstated. People who purchased it its earlier reincarnations need to purchase it again, assuming they need to reinstall, if more than 6 months have passed. Needless to say a lot people feel peeved off (and rightly so) by the developer's attitude.

I had a look around at these but then opted to try the ADB route instead. There are various threads around on what to disable and it's pretty straightforward to do. I also wonder if just disabling the app via settings is similar or good enough. Haven't found enough info so far to confirm, but have disabled some apps this way too.
Is the ADB method the same as on an LG phone? E.g. pm uninstall -k --.......

Not sure about ADB, only time I've used ADB is for flashing recovery, I wouldn't know where to start.
I've disabled everything I can manually, although there are a few not sure about, after checking the play store via chrome package disabler pro is still available but not for the Note 9, annoying because I'm pretty sure I have the Pro version.
Also somewhat unrelated, why does the software on the Note 9 have such difficulty closing down background apps? even when you explicitly selected them to not run in the background, an hour or so later it's still active and using battery. :silly:

I don't know. I got everythjng through mail: a download link and a code to activate the app.
Maybe try and contact them?
Just in case someone needs the full tutorial for using ADB to uninstall a system app, check this link:
https://www.xda-developers.com/uninstall-carrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/
If you're not familiar with it,it's worth your while to read everything.
It's not complicated if you're used to using command prompts/ADB,however,be warned that if you delete,it's actually just hidden from the user, but, once you do this,it can't be recovered/accessed/re-installed unless you factory reset (less root access,of course).
The article/tutorial states as much, but,we're all human & at times,TLDR.......... :good:

I'm not giving that leach any more of my money. He thinks people will buy it over and over and Google let's him get by with it.
The reality is that every phone is slightly different. The package disabler works extremely well to remove bloat and freeze everything that you don't want to deal with but preserve Knox and other security things. It's well worth the money in my opinion. Most people pay more money then that app just to drink a cup of coffee once.

It's the principle and I don't pay for the same cup of coffee over and over. Besides the app wouldn't trip Knox if you disabled every app on the phone. It may brick but not trip Knox. There are minimal changes to the app, and occasionally none at all. Taking an app down and then bringing it back, making it a new buy, is unethitical and unnecessary.
Anyone with a list yet? I'll try to post mine

Thanks ?
The re-buying leaves a sour taste but it is still preferable to the ADB method.
