Need to downgrade back to 6.0.1 - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Found a used Nexus 6 (for now) but it has 7.1.1 on it.
I need to go back to 6.0.1
I've gone to google's website and I am confused which factory 6.0.1 image to download.
What are the differences between them? (I'm assuming those listed with a month/year date are describing security patch release dates, but not sure about all the others.)
ex of a few of them...
6.0.1 (MOB30D) Link df7014f9417a886bc9efc79d9a3548add5e0a18aea47f73ad3cd9e535e450db0
6.0.1 (MMB30G) Link d5d540ed1bd8f8a544740dd75f2e8e61a43a15c13a9fa2e4312e86e59830ea36
6.0.1 (MOB30I) Link 3692dac3560b0e03b5bab4c113ea9ebe1def8c4cbc54260b5cf5027829332a1e
6.0.1 (MMB30J) Link dc940f6b6baeadf295806456c46fb1ca4800f1bdb43b3f92c257271ef419b8e1
....

I continued to research and found this from AT&T's website.... (click on the previous builds link on that page)
https://www.att.com/devicehowto/tutorial.html#!/stepbystep/id/stepbystep_KM1138351?make=Motorola&model=Nexus6XT1103
Apparently it lists all the builds... and their sizes.
But this presents another question... due to the relatively small size of some of these builds... which are just security enhancements, would I have to keep adding each build on top of the next? Or does the latest security enhancement build have all prior security builds in it?

Just download the last 6.0.1 build

perfect... thanks! sooooo... AT&T shows the last 6.0.1 build as MMB31C (Nov. 2016) but your link shows the last build to be MOB31T (Feb. 2017).

Well. There isn't any version of 6.0.1 specifically for AT&T so just flash the latest.

Unofficial build of CyanogenMod 11.0 for Galaxy Note GT-N7000

This is an unofficial build for all those who want to stay with CM11. The build is based on the pure CM code and does include the stagefright patches and other patches up to July 30.
It does run perfectly on my wife's N7000. However, use at your own risk.

Since - again - a severe security issue has been patched since the last time, I encourage everyone to upgrade.

Please tell us what is the changes applied to the official version of Cyanogemod. You only says to test it, with no description? No , thanks!

Well it's up to you if you use my ROM or not (basically you always have to trust anyone providing a ROM, because you cannot confirm the actually used codebase anyway!). In the meantime there is another official version out, so you can readily stick to that. I did not wish to wait with a severe security issue until someone built another official version. Last time it was 2 weeks between builds... which is far too long with such severe issues as recently.
Apart from that, your accusation is incorrect! Did you read the initial post? Apparently not, because it clearly stated that "The build is based on the pure CM code". This is still the case and will be if not stated otherwise. So there are NO CHANGES APPLIED TO THE OFFICIAL CM CODE, period! I just build it when an important patch is out but no official build.
no thanks
New version available. This includes the - not yet merged - patches http://review.cyanogenmod.org/112044 and http://review.cyanogenmod.org/112043. According to stagefright detector app this has removed the vulnerability CVE-2015-6602 (also termed stagefright V2). Here you go:

Official version of November 22 available. As a number of bugs have been remedied, everyone should upgrade.
Only thing is that Xposed does not work due to some patches. I will try to compile a new version including a fix for that next week.
New version available. All patches up to and including the one of November 23, and also including a fix for Xposed (taken from here: https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/c/15695/).

Hi NeuDLi,
after many test with cm12 i am now back to cm11 because i think cm12 use to much rom and our old n7000 will work very slow.
I have had many break down and automatik restarts. cm12 has no advantages for me.
the official cm 11 builds -i agree with you- will not quick updated.
now i give your rom a chance to work for me and my n7000. Thanks.
New version available. Includes official patches including December 8. Unless stated otherwise all further version will include the Xposed patch as of the previous post.

Nexus 6 factory images

I was looking at the Nexus 6 factory images. It looks like it jumps from 6.0 to 7.1.1, then back to 6.0, then 7.1.1......is this an error or were the 7.1.1 beta builds ?
Also is Google still making factory images for the Nexus 6 ? I thought that development was over for it, but I am pleased to see not so.
Take a look at the "shamu" section: https://developers.google.com/android/images
It's all there.
EDIT: I think you are affirming that =P Yes, we're going to receive security updates from now on. 7.1.1 is the final Android version.
Google is releasing three builds per month. One build for android 6.0, one for android 7.0 and one for android 7.1.1
Development was over at android 7.1.1 And all build has security patches only.
Correct, I was just confirming that the security updates were being rolled out. Then after Nov that's it huh ? Only custom development ? This is my first Nexus where development will stop /

Well, every Nexus get software updates from Google during 2 years.
Seeing all the ROMs in development/original development, the Nexus 6 is far from being dead... :good:
Cheers...

Security/Version updates confusion

Little confused about the versions of monthly security updates. If i have this correct Google went from 7.1.1 to 7.0 recently so what is the newest version of 7.1.1 and what is the newest version of 7.0 and of those two which one is newer?

7.1.1 is newer than 7.0.0. The newest version of 7.1.1 is N6F27C (May 2017), the newest version of 7.0.0 is NBD92G (Apr 2017).

Looking for Information on XT1805 retGB

Basically I've been having issues finding information on the non-indian models for the g5S plus, especially retgb xt1805. My questions are
Does it have Android 8/.1(stock)
What is the most recent build for retgb (stock)?
and how can I get this build
The last two are because I cannot find any solid information on the correct firmware for it.
1) latest build for retgb appears to be the June 2018 security patch 7.1.1 NPSS26.116-26-18. https://www.reddit.com/r/MotoG/comments/8w0c0c/june_patch_now_available_on_retgb
2)I don't think Android Oreo has been released outside of India, since the soak test is running at the moment. Hopefully it should be released globally soon.
3) if you want the latest build, have a look at the Google drive link mentioned in this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77025728&postcount=507 that should be the June 2018 firmware leaked from the Motorola servers (reteu and retgb seems to share firmwares), but please flash responsibly and ensure you have a backup of your important data.
