Hello.
I have:
- Huawei Honor Band 3
- OnePlus 3T with Oxygen OS Open Beta 15
- Huawei Wear app
What I do:
1. Turn on Bluetooth.
2. Open app; band is available there.
3. Try to connect to band from app.
4. Nothing happens.
This band can connect to other smartphones, and my smartphone can connect to my car and other devices.
Anyone please tell me how to fix?
Maybe catlog at connection moment will help?
Works fine here. Delete the app and try again
Working fine with HUAWEI BAND A2

I've flashed to Oreo and nothing changed... I don't know what to do, I'm very angry about that stupid problem!
Does the app find the band at the Bluetooth deVices list?
Also, through the phone settings, do you see the band at the bt finding list?

settings > battery ? bettery optimisation > huawei wear > dont optimize
that fixed my problem
also ensure u give all permissions to this app.
what works for me is that switch off and switch on bluetooth every time and then press honor band 3 in paired devices. Switch to Huawei wear and then it connects
I can't connect my Huawei honor band A2 with my Huawei P8 Lite. I have the 6.0 version. It just won't connect with Huawei Health and Huawei Wear too...

Probably you downloaded wrong version. It has to be 1.6.281040 (2825091-release) arm64.
I just downloaded 1.6.281040 (2825091-release) for arm64 to my Huawei P9 and I get the "Incompatible phone" message when I try to run the app.

I have the same issue on my rooted Huawei P9 Plus, B161 latest firmware, latest android auto: 1.6.281040 (2825091-release) arm64:
"Incompatible phone"
"The phone can't run Android Auto"
Any idea on how to let it work?
TIA
I have EVA-AL10 (chinese version) - maybe this is the difference...
Yeah maybe, sadly I have had no luck installing the APK. Anybody want to buy my p9 Plus? LOL.
I have an eva-L09 and cant get it to work with 1.6.281040 (2825091 - release) arm64 either
Same message here, too (incompatible phone), but when I connect the phone to my car system (Seat Full Link) it works.
Hello,
I have the same problem with P9 lite.
When I try to connect it with the Intellilink of my Opel Corsa 2016, appears the message "Incompatibile phone".
I downloaded the 1.6.281040 (2825091-release) app version.
I don't understand, it's a problem of the phone? I've just bought it because my S3 was too old to work with Intellilink...
Just installed b180 firmware and android auto now works perfectly (2016 Vauxhall corsa)

Huawei has announced Nougat update plans for its smartphones. The Android 7 update for Huawei devices will arrive in the form of version 5.0 of the Chinese company's EMUI skin. The roll-out will begin sometime in Q1, 2017, with the Huawei Mate 8 and P9 getting the update first, followed by the P9 Plus, P9 lite, nova, and nova Plus.
The new EMUI 5.0, Huawei claims, is more efficient, secure, and user friendly. It "significantly cuts down on the number of steps needed to achieve the desired function," the company says in a press release, adding that "furthermore, the user can reach 90% of the core functions in just two to three clicks."
The new UI also lets users choose between the standard layout and an app drawer. "Additionally, users can jump between their professional and personal lives effortlessly with profiles now being able to run in parallel – no switching of phones necessary."
Coming back to the update, those rocking a Huawei P9, P9 Plus, P9 Lite or Mate 8 will be able to participate in the beta testing as well.

phh's 8.0 gsi works as a daily driver. check it out in the treble forum. i used the version a-only rooted with gapps. the overlay for adaptive brightness, night mode and ambient display works as well. cant install the ported huawei camera since /system is full. maybe i try a resize.
one thing to note: it took me several atempts of reflashing and factory resetting to get it working. working means no acore or phone fc every 2 secs during setup. after some attempts it just worked. no problem for 3 days so far.
pure aosp goodness without emui but with substratum on a 210€ phone yay.

Hi there. I have a Xiaomi Mi 8 (from Three) which I have currently got the region set to India, mainly so that I can use Face Unlock, Theme Store, etc.
What I'd like to know is, if I continue to use the Mi 8 under the India region, will I still get the MIUI 10 update when it's released, as its not set to UK?
Thank you for any help on this matter.
Unlock your BL, install MIUI EU and you can freely choose any themes you want without any stupid restriction from Xiaomi.

Thank you for your response, but I haven't a clue how to unlock the BL and where I'd get a non hacked version of MIUI EU from.
I'd probably end up bricking the phone. lol
I'm just worried that if I keep using it under a different region, I won't receive the update.

Usually updates are pushed to phones based on the build number. If yours is a UK variant then it'll have a UK variant build number (most likely). I wouldn't have thought the region setting you put in when first starting & setting up the phone would make any difference. But don't quote me on that...

I can confirm that MIUI 10 based on Pie is WAY better. Just the "OK Google" hotword detection to fix and it'll be pretty much perfect.
I'm in the UK, use mine with both my work and personal SIM in - I'm running the latest ROM from Xiaomi.eu (MIUI 10.2 - Weekly 8.11.23).
It's great.
Also have installed the custom GCam for it, which is superb! I use the Xiaomi cam for video and portrait mode and the Google Camera for everything else - night mode is seriously impressive.

I bought my daughter the Honor 10 for her last birthday. It's a great looking phone with a very good camera/cameras. The back of the Honor 10 (blue) has to be seen to be believed, it looks amazing.
I must admit, the Xiaomi does have the edge when it comes to the screen, but it is a close battle.
I do love the camera slightly more (it's very close) on the Xiaomi too, but everything just seems a little more stable with the Honor 10 and it's EMUI skin on Android 8. I've had a few older apps that have refused to run on the Xiaomi.
That will hopefully change on the next Xiaomi update.

As no one is not giving a answer, so I'll try to help you out.
It's no matter what you have chosen, if you have the stock recovery, you'll always receive OTA updates. You can not change the stock recovery without an unlocked bootloader which can be achieved by the official tool provided by Xiaomi, for further information, use Google.
Unlocked bootloader gives you access to all functions of your device, and this means that you can use even a Pixel device Android "mod", and it's the closest to the native Android.
If you are using IM apps too often, you'll notice that your notifications are not being delivered just in time. also, MIUI has tons of bloatwares and limitations that won't allow you to use your device freely, and appearantly Xiaomi is collecting some "not innocent" data from your phone, so you might want to consider your privacy. These are just my perspective as an user that was on Android for 7 years, I hope you will enjoy your device.
Have a great night.

You have to keep in mind that's not an exact answer. While I would be more than happy if this device (including some others such as mate se, honor 7x) get EMUI 9, seeing as how all of those devices shipped with nougat and already got oreo (one major os update) there is a very high chance these devices won't experience EMUI 9. Hopefully it does though. So far the only devices i know that have kirin 659 and shipped with oreo (haven't received one major os update) are: Huawei P20 Lite, P Smart, Honor 9 Lite and Honor 9N.
