Hi, Futuremark Oy developers just updated their benchmark application "3DMark" and allow us to run Slingshot Extreme (the biggest gaming test of the app) with Vulkan API.
So I tested it and I was surprised to see that we got a bigger score on OpenGL 3.1 than Vulkan.
The developers told me that OnePlus didn't optimised/updated their drivers for OnePlus 3 (I'm running BETA 28) and it's normal that we'll never see any Vulkan game to our device (except Lineage 2 Revolution that lag with Vulkan in ultra).
What do you think about that ? Anyone got a different score ?

Hello guys
I bought a Razr i few weeks ago, it had ICS 4.0 and I upgraded it to Jelly Bean 4.1.2.
I installed Subway Surfers and now it runs (before it didn't) but runs a little laggy.
I installed Need for Speed Most Wanted and it runs like in slow motion. Firs I tought that my phone specs were not enough to run it, specially beacuse of the GPU SGX 540.
But I watched a video of a gameplay of Need for Speed Most Wanted running on a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, it ran very smoothly, I got very surprised because The Galaxy Nexus has a similar GPU but it's screen resolution is 1280x720, it's GPU runs at 384MHz. By the other side the Razr i has a screen resolution of 540x960 and it's GPU runs at 400MHz.
This means that the Razr i must be more powerful than the Galaxy Nexus respecting to graphics.
My own conclusion is that app developers haven't optimized their apps to run on a x86 processor.
What do you guys think? Do anyone else have a problem similar to mine?
I agree with you. Unfortunately there's not much phones using x86 processor and it seems that they do not care to optimize their applications to run on our phone.
The apps were just ported, not optimized to x86 architecture. That's the reason some apps works but crashes.
Im playing Heroes of Incredible Tales (HIT) and I can't set the graphics to max which is only accessible with Android 7.0 Nougat because of Vulkan Graphics and it says not supported.
Galaxy S7 can switch to highest quality because of Vulkan Graphics as per Youtube
So how come our 3T with better cpu and gpu doesn't have this feature? Hhmmm.
Dear Moderator.
I'm Ex user Kenzo. I Use Kenzo With LineageOS Rom with Vuklkan API Features.
What i wanna ask.
Does Mi Max 2 is support Vulkan API?
Despite that in Nougat Miui ROM is has Vulkan.
But, it seems whwn i played game like HIT, the high graphic features is not capable like when i use in kenzo is capable.
I would like to know too, i can't play Lineage 2 Revolution on max settings because it needs vulkan although my hardware has vulkan, i've seen all kinds of vulkan api for other phones i wonder witch one works for Xiaomi Mi Max 2, i am on the latest developer build, boot loader unlocked and rooted device
The latest version of PPSSPP (on their website) let's you choose Vulkan. I only tried Need for Speed Carbon, but the performance was way better than with OpenGL. I will try some other games and play around in the other settings to see what's possible with Vulkan
By using this rom [ROM][X52x][8.1.0][UNOFFICIAL] AospExtended oreo for LeEco Le2, on latest updated antutu benchmark app, it shown as 92,599.
How is that possible??
this is a new version (v7), it has new way to calculate the score, don't compare it with older version (v6) numbers
Hi! It's something with benchmark (I think it happens again, last time that big difference on one device was at the last major antutu update). Just benchmarked my phone and it's 95851 score on miui9 (with previous antutu version I got something around 62k-68k on the same rom). I think that it's othing but marketing, to show the slower SoCs more powerfull to newcomers of the smartphone area, or for those who won't know that the antutu's major update rolled out, or the third versoin, it's using the second but taking into account those people who are buying new phones now.
A user posted this on a sammobile article about the pie beta:
"Well done Samsung…9 Pie is great, smooth, fast and very nice to use….they should have just released it to everyone instead of beta.
1. GPU Drivers have been updated so emulators like Dolphin play games full speed
2. Games in general…from playstore are smooth..no lags…playing Asphalt 9 on Dex…
3. Can now use any HDMI to USB C cable for Dex to work
4. Battery life seems to have improved in my case
5. Dark theme works perfect
6. Camera seems to have improved
7. Multitasking is fast and fluid, apps don’t refresh
8. With no app running free RAM is 1.65GB on S9
Now playing Nintendo Wii games at full speed.
S9 SM-G960F"
I've been reading an article where it compares the benchmarks of both the Exynos and Snapdragon versions of the phone, and it's like they're two different phones. The Snapdragon outperforms the Exynos on nearly everything by a big margin.
Is there any chance the Pie update will improve these scores?
I'd post the links but i'm a new user, so I can't. Apologies.
Thanks.

Samsung did a lot to the exynos 9810 control leading to noticeable improvements in battery life, performance, fluidity. I am pretty sure they will continue that on the android 9 update. Even if the sd variant keep it's lead on benchmarks, atleast now and in the future the exynos 9810 will not be disappointing. So in short - yes, the android 9 will improve everything about the phone no matter the variant.
