how much more protection does this offer than the speck case other than the screen protector?
Significantly more. You can drop on otterbox from 6' onto the pavement and all will be fine. Speck is a nice case though.

The Commuter Series Otterbox cases. Have a Silicon case wrapped around the phone with a hard case ontop of the that. The Silicone acts like a shock absorber while the hard case takes the blunt damage.
Wish they were making a Defender case for it. Its a Hard case lined with silicone/felt on the inside with a silcone case wrapped around the hard case. You can drop them from high hieghts with none-to-minor damage.
Picking up my case soon. My Best Buy is recieveing theirs soon, just want to go pick it up same day. Laziness is great. I'll post pics when I do.
I got it today.
Otterbox has stated that they are NOT making a defender case, so I went with the commuter case.
My main issue with other cases were how hard it was to push the buttons.
This one should win an award as best hd7 case. Buttons are easy to push, the phone has a great feel without being tooo bulky.
I dont have a camera to post pictures right now, but I can promise you it looks exactly like it does on their website.
It also comes with a screen protector, and it is the first screen protector on this phone that I have been able to apply with no bubbles! WIN!
so any pics?
I just got the case on Saturday after returning the Speck Pixelskin HD case I previously had. The Speck is a great case if you're more into a lighter weight and just enough protection type case. The design, while great, can be troublesome, as some lint does get stuck between the lines.
As for the Otterbox, apart from the lint magnet that the silicone is on the corners, the case is very high quality and feels much more solid if ever I should drop it by accident. The power button is also much easier to push now.
I'll try to take pictures when I remember.
I bought the OtterBox today and I am very happy. Installing a simple phone and well protected.

Interesting gadget...
Can you confirm please the shipping cost ?
As I read from their website:
34.95$ + 8$ (i'm in Italy) + 15% (taxes) = 49.40$
Not cheap, but the product seems very well done
Thanks, Marco.
I bought the OtterBox Ebay.cz. I came even with postage for 38 dollars.

Thanks a bunch for mentioning this. This was my biggest question about the Otterbox, and that's my one beef so far with the HD7. It was suggested by someone else to get a silicone skin type of case to improve the button action.
I ordered my Otterbox this morning.
How's the quality of the screen protector film?

Just received mine the other day. The Otterbox is an awesome case for the HD7, and doesn't add a lot of bulk. The only issue I have with the case is that it doesn't make the buttons any easier to push like the Speck case did.
That's weird.
I thought the Speck case's feedback on the buttons was not very accurate. The volume button was too easily pressed and was annoying as I would just hold the device with my right hand and accidentally press the volume button. Also the power button was very hard to press as I had to put more force compared to the Otterbox!
IMO, the Otterbox has a much better button responsiveness.
Krebster try readjusting the silicon inside you should hear a click when pressing the power button. This case rocks

pretty straightforward, but I am looking for a case for my Nexus S in the color orange. Historically I have preferred TPU case's, but the black TPU case I have for this the buttons are incredibly hard to press.
I am not looking for the 2 piece snap on case's as they add to much bulk. So far the only thing thats even remotely close is the ReEarth Ringke
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Google-Nexu...cessories&hash=item4159a49888#ht_10875wt_1063
Anything else out there in Orange worth a damn?
So why don't you get the Ringke case?
If your concern is that the buttons are hard to press, that is not the case with the Ringke.
Also, they're cheaper on the official site.
Too bad Boxwave doesn't make an orange Duosuit TPU case for the Nexus, they do for the Incredible.

I didn't like in the video review for that case how soft and lose the sides are. Seemed slightly better then the cheapo silicon ones, but not near what the tpu ones are.

I haven't seen an orange TPU case either.. If I had cutting the buttons out might be viable depending on how thick the case was.

All colors available here ↓

Sorry if this has been posted already.
Great case for the G2. Perfect fit, cutouts nicely beveled and smoothed. Great look. Comfortable in hand. Still slender enough to slide the phone easily into your pocket. It also looks great -- I've got the Smoke (transparent) over a white G2. Probably going to order up one of the transparent green ones, and maybe orange. Excellent design and execution -- good value.
Nice color combo you have. :good:

Covered buttons?
I just ordered the Verizon version of this case and like the slim fit and grippy, matte back. However, in the descriptions on Amazon and their website it says buttons are covered. I was a little bummed to find the rear buttons weren't covered like on the DualPro - makes them easier to press. Is this the way the case is supposed to be?

For those using a case, have you found one that actually offers decent click action on buttons? I like my cimo case, but the buttons are a bit mushy. Looking preferably for a solid color case but if a clear one has great buttons, I'd be willing to try it.

Ringke fusion has great tactile buttons, requires to use a conscious amount of pressure to press it. Used it for previous s6 and n4
Spigen Ultra Hybrid buttons are just crap, total mush and you will have zero feedback that you even pressed the buttons. Used it on n5x
Waiting on reviews of nillkin buttons since prices are almost similar between ringke and nillkin
I've tried three cases for this phone, all TPU or TPU + polycarbonate shell: Tudia Ultra Slim, Lightning Knight Hybrid Defender, and Diztronic Ultra. The Diztronic has the best button feel, it hardly feels different than the buttons without a case. The Lightning Knight is by far the worst, there is almost no tactile feedback on the buttons. The Diztronic is the one I use daily.

I'm thinking of maybe getting the Ringke fusion, although I'm not sure how I feel about the clear ones. If that is necessary for great buttons, then I may have to try it!

Is the Ultra the one that stains your phone or was that a different Diztronic one? I have a black 5x so maybe it wouldn't matter anyway.

The Ultra is this one, it only comes in black and has beefier corners and a taller lip around the screen than the other Diztronic one (which comes in three colors). I have it on a black N5X so if it's staining the phone, I may not be seeing it, but it doesn't look stained to me. I have read that the blue Diztronic case is the one with staining problems.

I have the Diztronic case and it's quite good. The matte plastic material is very grippy and the buttons have a nice click to them. I can confirm the black case does not stain the black phone.
Only downside for me is I wanted something extremely thin (like a skin basically) and the Diztronic is just normal as far as thickness.
The cases from Google play store are both good. I don't use folio cases so I didn't buy that one or the ugly speck case. Just the nexus one with felt and the Adopted case. Both are super snug and good buttons. Makes it feel more premium to me.
My diztronic case came today and I love it. Feels solid, good grip, correct cut outs, and the buttons are EXCELLENT. Very pleased. Thanks for the help everyone!

If you're still in the market for a 'skin' case, I highly suggest the Nillkin Nature TPU Case (eBay is where I bought mine). It's only 0.6mm thick and is the thinnest "all-around" TPU case I've owned so far. And the buttons also retain most of their click feedback.
But as with thin cases, there is less impact protection and the Nillkin only has the slightest camera bump.
I use the factory case from google on my N5X (the fuzzy one, without the front flap). It fits so well that it feels like I'm pushing the button on the phone without a case. can easily feel the click of the buttons and doesn't feel mushy at all.
I thought the diztronic case was decent quality for price. Buttons on case are good. Not sure I'd agree that it's all the grippy though.

Nope, I have this case and that's probably the only negative thing I can comment about it. If you lay the phone flat on its back with the Nillkin case the camera is exposed and prone to scratching. I'm now using the Spigen thin fit, has a good lip for the camera bump and doesn't feel too bulky, but yeah no dust flaps for type-c and jack ports.
Another vote for the Diztronic slim fit.
When I bought the phone I originally also bought this Verus case: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015GHQM7Q
I was coming from a Galaxy S3 with a ballistic dual layer case so I was used to the added bulk. I found the Verus case to be a little slippery at times but the buttons all worked great and I didn't have any real issues with it. The biggest issue by far came up when I finally tried to hook it up to some aux speakers with a cable. The depth of the case combined with the narrow cutouts for the headphone jack meant none of my aux cables would fit. My usual travel headphones use a more narrow jack so it wasn't a problem until I tried that.
That was a showstopper so I went with the Diztronic for my 5X. I originally had a Diztronic case for my S3 before changing it out and was always happy with it. I literally just received my new 5X case it but I can already tell I'll be using this for awhile. Buttons are better than with the Verus and grip is improved, altho still a little slippery; I remember from my S3 there was a little bit of a break in period. Cut outs are all aligned perfectly and it feels noticeably slimmer than the Verus. I like having the edge lips so I can lay the phone whatever way I want with reduced risk of damaging the glass. Definitely recommend.
Recently had thoughts to buy case for OP3, was afraid to have it naked, especially the camera bump. Wasn't satisfied by any case. I used to have Nillkin Frosted case for my HTC One M7. Had it for 2 years, apart from small stains, nothing happened to it. I waited for long for Nillkin to sell cases for OP3. Before a week, they had a listing in their site. I'm from India, searched in ebay.in, and luckily there was one seller selling the black color of it. I didn't want to go for White, since it didn't look good with OP3's Graphite color in images. So went with Black, the rear part of the case has no words. It's the best material, plastic yet doesn't feel like that. Non-slippery. Along with the case was a screen protector called as the "Frosted Shield", not a tempered, but does well. I had used the same for M7 for a period of time. Very slim case, covers the camera bump, has perfect holes for all the buttons, and for the alert slider too. Doesn't affect the 3.5mm jack or the speaker holes. Go for it, if you want a slim reliable plastic case.
I bought from: http://www.ebay.in/itm/361625112523
Have attached photos of the case, do have a look at it. Hit the Thanks, if the post was helpful. Thank you!

I ordered mine on this link
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Onep...neplus-3-Oneplus3-A3000-with/32687032486.html
it take a little more than two weeks (which is good from china) but the case was a little deformed on one side, the plastic retail case was crushed too so it might come from the shipping. Anyway, the seller agreed to send another one so I can still use the one I received while waiting for the new one.
I really like the frosted nillkin case. I bought one for someone in my family for a honor 6 and I really liked it.
I might add that the as seen on the pictures, the case protect all corner.
this one is a little cheaper

I have been a loyal Nillkin Frosted case user for all of my phone's (too many to count) for the last 3 years. Can't recommend them enough. However, I purchased the Karbon case from OnePlus and have to admit that I like it even more. It is a little thinner than the Nillkin case, but feels and looks even better. I really suggest those who don't mind spending a little more to consider it as well.

The official karbon case is made of kevlar so it's tough and lightweight but the camera cut out is a little odd, anyway it was sold out when I ordered my OP3. Is it soft when touching the case?
The nillkin frosted case is great and cheap, only my work iphone 6 don't have it because of the logo cut out on the back.
TPU cases are my favorite due to being safer from a drop but does add a little bit more of a layer but the also help not feeling the phone getting too hot
My arriverd today, so here are more pictures

Still waiting tempered glass from Ozrly to arrive, but i doubt it will fit.
Got this case today and I have to say I absolutely love it!
Normally I don't even use cases on phones -ever- because I hate the extra bulkiness that cases usually give, but I'm really satisfied with this case.
Doesn't really add any bulk to it whatsoever, the case itself feels reallly good and it's awesome that the camera is protected aswell, so no more worrying about putting the phone down.
Curious....this case looks extremely thin. I use a magnetic car cradle. Would I be able to slide the thin piece of metal between the back of the phone and case? Or is the case just plain too thin?
Great case was a bit sceptical at first but since installation I haven't removed it yet. Two thumbs up :good::good:
