Random black boxes after doing Xposed stuff? - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

Alright, so I've had black boxes in certain things and I don't know what caused them, they appeared after some Xposed stuff I did but I don't remember what, here are the screenshots. Any help would be appreciated

A screen of currently installed Xposed modules would be helpful - probably you installed something that messed up colors

I suspect DarkThemeFixer - disable it and reboot. What was the cause to use this module, if you don't have any theme installed?

It was DarkThemeFixer, thanks!

Compatibility Pac-Man ROM

Hi,
Xposed installer and modules are supported by Pac-Man ROM?? My device is OnePlus One
Framework: should be, make a backup and TIAS. Modules: depends on the module, check the particular module's thread.

Read the GravityBox OP and search the thread, see for yourself if it's compatible with your device/ROM. Also check the Xposed FAQ for instructions on how to get out of a bootloop.
I'm running xposed along with a handful of tweaks and its fine running the latest PAC nightlys
I'm running a couple of modules, but if I use to many they cause a bootloop. And it doesn't seem to be a module specific problem. If I exceed 12 modules it bootloops and in some cases I even lost my app data (but only user app data. No settings or so).

[q] problem with new wallpaper

Hello everyone,
I have xposed installer so i can use multiwindow. It has some issues but still is great :good:
I have noticed though that when i try to change my wallpaper from a photo in my gallerythe screen splits to 2 and when i set the wallpaper is set on the top half of the screen leaving the rest black.
Anyone had again the same issue? Any ideas how to solve it??
Please note that when i unistall the xposed framework i don't have that problem
Thanks in advance
Does this still happen if you disable all modules? If not, then it's a module specific issue, and you should ask in its support thread.

Does the problem still happen with all modules disabled (without uninstalling Xposed)?

Which ROM are you on? Also make sure to check the Xposed FAQ (this might fix your issue, even though it's not necessarily the same).

[Q] XPOSED modules not working on Lollipop

Hi,
I'm new to all customizations and things similar on Android. I have been using Xposed on Kitkat without any issues on my Nexus 4. I recently installed xposed alpha for lollipop (waited so long for that). However, not all modules recognize xposed framework. I have installed GravityBo[LP] and working perfectly fine, but there are modules like BootManager and XPrivacy which says that the module is not activated. Attached are the screenshots. Please advise.

chk this thread for working xposed modules -

Also, Bootmanager seems to be working based on the feedback, chk pg 32 in the above thread.

I have seen that link. My bad I missed the fact that XPrivacy is not supported. However, I'm facing the same issue with BootManager.

What happenes if you click ouside the error message, does it allow you to configure Boot Manager?
Edit - I just downloaded it on my Nexus 5 stock rom, and is working fine!

Yes. It does. But, will it actually work without the xposed framework?
Check, and if it doesnt, let the app owner of Bootmanager know

This is fixed with BootManager 3.1.0

Xposed + enable-debugger Flag

Hi,
I have an apk which has debuggable flag set as 'False'. Without modifying the apk is it possible to make the application debuggable using xposed framework.
Since all the application calls from Zygote process, is it possible to add 'enable-debugger' flag when we call that particular application?
Use Xinstaller module.
In Xinstaller, go to Misc. Tick 'Debugging apps'.
Wow, somebody found and uses this feature I thought nobody used it.
Thumbs up!
It's a life saver!

Wow thats cool, let me try it out. I am using Xposed installer 2.6.1 and cannot find the misc option. Do we have this feature in the new version?

Remove/Hide IME Keyboard Switcher notification and icon for OnePlus 3 (OOS/FreedomOS)

This notification appears if you have 2+ languages or 2+ keyboards.
Some ROMs have a built in option to hide it, but many don't.
There used to be Xposed module to hide IME Keyboard Switcher notification and icon (link below) :
http://repo.xposed.info/module/biz.underpants_gnomes.android.xposed.mods.hidexposedime
Obviously Xposed doesn't work in Nougat (yet?). I was wondering if someone can make a Magisk module to hide this annoying thing.
EDIT: WORKING MODULE in the thread thanks to Tulsadiver. Works on OnePlus 3 (OOS/FreedomOS)
<double post>
I know that there is working xposed now for nougat, but it currently breaks safety net.
Bumping it up in hopes for a magisk module that will Hide IME Keyboard Switcher notification and icon.

I could probably make one for you but it wouldn't work on all phones. In your Systemui.apk you probably have a menu_ime.xml and ic_ime_switcher_default.xml. Edit those and you are probably good.

I backed up my systemui apk via titanium backup and attached a copy here. Not sure what to edit there and how to make a magisk file from it so it doesn't break safetynet.
By the way this is for One Plus 3, FreedomOS-2.10

Got both files the right way (not through TB). Couldn't attach because of the size, so I uploaded them and put the links there.
One is here (in case if location different from other roms)
Root>system>priv-app>OPSystemUI>OPSystemUI.apk
https://ufile.io/yewk2
Framework here:
Root>system>framework>framework-res.apk
https://ufile.io/k1ugd
Thanks

Do you want it off your keyboard too?
Try flashing this in TWRP. No guarantees.

Got it flashed/installed successfully, but IME notification and icon are still there.
I do use layout switcher on the keyboard itself, so I'd like to keep it.

Awesome. It worked.
I installed first and forgot to wipe cache. Still got the notification. After second flash followed by cache wipe it worked and notification is no longer there. Happy times. Thanks a lot.

You are welcome. Good point about the wipe and thanks for sharing. I believe app and priv-app mods are wiped but apparently framework-res.apk mods are not and this turned out to be a framework-res.apk mod.

I have noticed a weird thing with this module. When I go to Google Play store I have a strange box in the search field (screenshot attached). Also if I choose an installed app in the store and try to go into three dot menu (not enable/disable auto-update) store crashes. It is definitely because of this module, because when I disable it, this strange behavior stops. Wondering if you have any clue what could be a cause of it.

I believe all I did was change the enable IME switcher bool from true to false. That is all. Was that a stock framework-res.apk you uploaded? I'll take a look at it when I get home tomorrow.

I did this same mod on my phone and cannot replicate your issue. Do you have any other modules installed that could be conflicting with this mod,?

I've got only two other modules (add free youtube and app systemizer).
I have disabled all modules, all is fine. Then I enable just this module (Tulsadiver Mods V1) and the issue appears. If i disable it and enable the other two, everything is still good.

Let's try a different method this time. I'll leave the bool as true.

This one is should be safe for other phones as well. All I did was use blank pngs instead of the keyboard icons.
