Upgrade from Lineage 14.1 to lineage 15
Hey...once again I thank you for keeping live this device.. I just want to know that flashing lineage 15 over lineage 14.1 through TWRP 3.2.0.0 is possible or do I need to do clean flash? Also "suaddon" of 14.1 is recommended or do I need to manually flash SuperSU?

Development builds are for generating feedback from users. To narrow down any problems, clean flash is recommended.
Also, 14.1 -> 15.0 is not supported at the moment (haven't kept track of it, to be honest).
Thanks.

Can I flash it normally with twrp recovery

Hey daedroza, I installed this build... No root detected even availability of option in developer option. Could you mod kernel for twep recovery coz I am facing error issue in installing zips with all version of twrp due to which i failed to gapps installation. I had use resurrection remix nougat which had default inbuilt twrp..ROM has many repairs like cam recorder not connect to camera, no audiofx, file explorer crash, no default package installer and counting... Pl do rectify and modify some problems..
Available to do test for future build..

That's not really device specific (AudioFX / File App crashes).
Camcorder is being worked upon (not by me though), so waiting is the best option.
The initial quality is not up to the mark, agreed. But that's the reason I've been reluctant to release Android 8.x in the first place.
This is purely for testing / feedback (probably not seeing any log still), you can switch back to 14.1 if that's really important for you.

Updated build.
Newer sources, fixes most of the application crashes (specifically Files android app).
Nothing special at the moment to test (other than rotation sensors and GPS). Please give it a try.

Lineage 15 (26/12/2017) Feedback
Hey daedroza, as I said you about future testing. I flash latest build of lineage 15 and found some major & minor issues..
1) Device switch off charging works but screen backlight doesn't turn off.
2) Sim not detect.
3) Sensor and GPS works fine. Screen rotates as it tends to.
4) Battery works ok.
5) Heating issue is more without playing games and apps. In idle state it's btw 50-60 degrees.
6) Camcorder error and no audio fx.
7) Os optimise app well in background.
8) Performance low in high end game GPU demanding games like mc5/mc verses.
I will send some more details..

I've uploaded a newer build (20171227). Fixed SIM Card issue. I've no problems with screen backlight at the moment.

Some problems address below...
WiFi works great without being turn off. Videos capture from other sources has highly stretched aspect ratio and screen doesn't rotate in default or third party player. Google camera show camcorder error. Battery charging speed is slow on Sony turbo charger.
Will address some problems in future

Sony Z series (2012-13) doesn't support turbo charging.
Camcorder is a known problem at the moment, hence no comments on it until some progress is made.
Regarding Screen Rotate, try rotating on second time? It should work, it's something known to me and well, no idea how to fix it. Will brainstorm on it later.
Also to all,
Uploaded a new build (20171231_184033). Fixed governor change on boot, now it correctly sets to Interactive instead of Performance.
There should be a noticeable improvement in battery life.
NOTE: We've switched on boot and system dex-preopt, so, "Wipe Dalvik + Cache" is necessary step. Still, if the device doesn't boot, please do a clean flash.
EDIT: Also, please look "Ambient Display Gestures" (located under System > Languages & Input > Ambient Display Gestures).
They contain wake device on Hand wave / Pick-up / Pocket feature.
Thank you and Happy New Year 2018 all!

Happy New Year @ daedroza..
I just want to know that is it possible to get efficiency profile in battery settings like shown in this link
https://android.gadgethacks.com/new...saver-menu-with-performance-profiles-0176350/

I am loving this rom by far the smoothest experience and battery is also good in the latest build ! Thanks ! And yeah supersu works fine !

One more problem detected related to google setup wizard after fresh ROM and gapps aroma flash. The wizard got crash in presence of sim which shows error of various services of google stopped working. But I manage to setup without sim on basis of WiFi. So focus on this problem too..

The same happened while i was on setting up but in my case all google has stopped errors came without a simcard.

I've no crashes with SetupWizard. However, if you encounter any crashes, update the GApps. Also, you could simply delete the SetupWizard and type this in Shell
Code:
adb shell settings put global setup_wizard_has_run 1
adb shell settings put secure user_setup_complete 1
adb shell settings put global device_provisioned 1
Updated builds to Android 8.1.0.
Z thread contains the change-log if you're interested.
Thanks!

Hi i tested the latest build 8.1.0 by dirty flashing , too many google app crashes and play store went missing.
Gapps from opengapps v8.0 didn't get flashed giving error to use gapps 8.1.
I clean flashed the rom with unoffical gapps 8.1 arm, still gave me fc on setup wizard and system ui kept stopping, i couldn't move past setup screen back to 8.0 31/12

Known Issues
FM Radio does not work
Sometimes wake up causes music stutter
Unable to un-pin screen without rebooting
Some users have reported issues with call audio (see FAQ for a possible fix)
Some users have reported low volume when recording video
Does not work on 4.1 stock ROM's bootloader, please upgrade to stock 4.2 before flashing
Additionally, Dual SIM has the following limitations:
Both SIMs are always enabled (no way to disable one SIM)
"Receive incoming call while data is enabled" is always enabled
Installation
Make a backup!
If you were on CM 10.1 or a stock ROM prior to 4.2, upgrade to stock 4.2 first.
Install ClockworkMod recovery with SELinux support (.tar) (.zip). Older CWM will result in a "status 7" error.
Reboot into recovery
Wipe data if coming from stock or another non-CM ROM (You may get a "staus 7" error if you fail to wipe.)
Install the ROM
Optionally install the Google Apps Addon
To upgrade to a newer build, simply flash the zip. There's no need for data wipe or flashing Google Apps again. (However, during this ALPHA stage, if you are experiencing strange issues, you may want to try a wipe.)

FAQ
Sometimes the people on the other side of the call cannot hear me
The real cause of this is unknown, but this is often found with people using the I9082DDUBNB1 baseband/modem. Some people have reported that flashing a different baseband (e.g. I9082XXUBMK3) has resolved the problem. A collection of basebands can be found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2496989. Or you can also try I9082LUBUBMK1 that I use.
How do I enable/disable Dual SIM?
Dual SIM support is enabled by default. If you only use 1 SIM and wants to disable Dual SIM support, you can use the following instruction:
Enable:
Code:
su
setprop persist.radio.multisim.config dsds
Disable:
Code:
su
setprop persist.radio.multisim.config none
(Instruction screenshots)
What are incremental/delta updates?
Delta updates allow updating from one version to another downloading only the difference rather than the full ROM, for those on limited bandwidth. They are named like "cm-12-20141206_from_20141202_delta-UNOFFICIAL-i9082.zip" which means that it can be used to update from 20141202 to 20141206 (simply flash it in recovery like any other update). Delta updates will not work if you have installed custom kernels or other system modifications, including editing build.prop. In those cases, downloading the full update is recommended (flashing a full update will not wipe your data).
If you want to restart from a clean state to use the delta. First format /system (not /data). Then flash full zip of any build. Then flash the gapps linked in this post. Do not flash any other zip or make any other modification to /system. After that, you should be able to use the delta. This will not erase your data, which is on /data.
How does OTA work?
Starting from 20141218 build, you will be able to check for and install update via Settings -> About -> CyanogenMod updates. Updates will be downloaded from the BasketBuild mirror. Delta updates will be used automatically if available (e.g. update to the immediate next build). Otherwise, the full update will be downloaded.
If after using the OTA, the version number remained the same, it means that the delta update was not flashed properly. See the "What are incremental/delta updates?" FAQ for more details. The error message is also available is /cache/recovery/last_log.
The Music app crashes every time I open it
There seems to be something causing corruption in the Media album art database. Clearing the data of the "Media Storage" application and rebooting should fix it.
To clear data, go to: Settings -> Apps -> All -> Media Storage -> Clear Data. Then reboot.
Login with Google does not work in some apps
Sometimes, on a fresh wipe, the phone language will be set to an invalid language. Changing it to a valid one from Settings should fix the issue.
Battery Statistics shows that Wi-Fi is always on even though I've turned it off.
If you are using "scanning always available" in Advanced Wi-Fi Settings, then Wi-Fi will always be on to scan for available network to aid location discovery.
How do I enable root?
Root is now disabled by default in CM. To enable root, first enable developer options. Then enable it in Settings -> Developer Options -> Root access.
I'm having battery issues
Read http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...galaxy-grand-duos-i9082-t2942255/post57836573
Can you include Feature X into your ROM?
No. This ROM will have CyanogenMod's feature set.
Can you include S-Note/S-Planner/MultiWindow/Insert Samsung App Here?
No. This is an AOSP ROM and cannot have TouchWiz applications.
Can you include call recording?
No. CyanogenMod does not include call recording to avoid potential legal issues. In addition, unless a stock ROM with call recording is found, it is highly likely that it is not supported by our hardware.
Can you add Feature X to the stock ROM?
No. I don't work on stock ROMs.
What kernel does this ROM use?
A slightly modified version of the stock kernel, the source code is linked above.
I've heard that Broadcom doesn't release source, how can you make this ROM?
Contrary to the popular belief, userspace driver source code is not always required to make an AOSP-based ROM as long as the proprietary binaries shipped with the device does not modify the API too heavily (or is from a very different version of Android). Instead of modifying the source code of the drivers, the Android source code was adapted to be able to use the proprietary binaries.
Can I use your ROM as a base?
http://source.android.com/source/licenses.html
Most of Android/CyanogenMod is licensed under the Apache License with other small parts licensed under other open-source licenses. Which means that you may modify and redistribute without asking for permission as long as the proper credits is given and it is not misappropriated as being the official CyanogenMod. (In other words, you must say that it is based on pawitp's unofficial CyanogenMod, but is not related to CyanogenMod in any other way.)
Will you make this official CM?
Due to the amount of work and commitment involved, I am not planning to make an official CM port.
For example, I would have to re-format the compatibility patches in such a way that merging it into CM will not break other devices. When critical problems occur in an automatic nightly build, I would be expected to fix it in a day or two because users would continue to download those builds (as opposed to unofficial builds that I can test before releasing). I will also need to justify every modification made to the ROM, as it affects CM as a whole. For example, I may not be able to include the Samsung-style backlight behavior or WCDMA-only setting.
Can contacts be saved to phone/SIM?
No. It is not supported in AOSP-based ROMs.
Can I send files over Wi-Fi Direct?
Yes, but you must use third-party applications. The implementation provided on Samsung ROMs is not an open standard. AOSP/CM does not provide a native way to send files over Wi-Fi Direct.
Can I mirror your ROM?
You're free to, but I will not list it in this post.
Will feature X from a previous version of CM be implemented?
I don't know, probably will be, eventually. I don't really involve myself in the feature-set side of CM.
Reporting Bugs
You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

If anyone wants to quickly switch to Pawitp's recovery I have made a flashable zip you can flash it on any recovery Link -Opening odin for switching might be time consuming
Also because other recovery gives errors, TWRP gives update binary error
@pawitp you can add it to OP the LINK if you want .

[Discontinued] [ROM] [7.0] [UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 14.0 [i9082] Final [2016/10/23]

THIS ROM HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED AND WILL NO LONGER BE UPDATED.. CONSIDER SWITCHING TO CM14.1
CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.0 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device..
Code:
#include
/*
Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod https://github.com/CyanogenMod
Device-specific source code for the Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos are available from https://github.com/Osas514/android_device_samsung_i9082 and kernel tree https://github.com/Osas514/android_kernel_samsung_i9082/tree/cm-14.0

Camera(Trying to fix it breaks sound)
Selinux is in permissive mode
com.android.mtp crashes sometimes, but MTP works.
Screenshots are blank (Will be fixed, when there's proper fix for it). Adding it causes random reboots
Browser (webview): Video playback doesn't work properly. Use Chrome browser for properly working video playback.

Fixed power menu fc
Partially fix camera but still buggy
Updated CM sources
2016-10-23 update
- Microphone Fixed
- freezing issue fixed
- random reboot fixed
- sound recorder now working
- some cm bugs fixed from source side
- camera almost fixed just taking time for opening bt video recording still not working (no freezing with camera app)
-Hotspot fixed
Shout-out to @GHsR for updating the patches
Additionally, Dual SIM has the following limitations (once they work):
Both SIMs are always enabled (no way to disable one SIM)
"Receive incoming call while data is enabled" is always enabled
Installation
Make a backup!
If you were on CM 10.1 or a stock ROM prior to 4.2, upgrade to stock 4.2 first.
Install ClockworkMod recovery with SELinux support. Older CWM will result in a "status 7" error.
Reboot into recovery
If you are using a recovery which mounts /system on boot, unmount it before installing
Wipe data if coming from stock or other ROMs (You may get a "status 7" error if you fail to wipe.)
Install the ROM
Optionally install the Google Apps Addon (In Marshmallow, you MUST flash gapps before booting into the system for the first time or else the proper permissions will not be granted resulting in Setup Wizard crash. If you experience the crash, you will need to do a factory reset.)
To upgrade to a newer build, simply flash the zip. There's no need for data wipe or flashing Google Apps again. (However, if you are experiencing strange issues, you may want to try a wipe.)

Great work
Awesome work @osas514 can't expect nothing more!!! Respect for #hardwork and #patience!!! :fingers-crossed:
thank you very much for the rom.
Thanks for your hard work.......
We like it......
Booting process completed very smooth. No issues while setting up the device for first use. Mobile calls, data, sms and Wi-Fi are working without any issues.
Installed every app that I use in my daily life. Everything is working superb except the issues mentioned in known issues section.
No app fc and no random reboots.
No one expects more than this from the first build and we are glad to get CM14 with Android 7.0 where many other big devices can't even guess the chances.
@osas514, thanks for this awesome ROM.
Except for some random freezes, the build is absolutely solid .
Greaaat workkk! Thanks !
:good::good::good:
Yeeeeaaayyy!!! Great work, dev! ????
How is the battery performance ?
I did a clean install and got stuck at the cyanogen head boot screen forever. I did a clean install of cm13 1012 and same thing happened. I had to go back to cm13 0912
I use twrp
Edit: problem solved! do NOT wipe system, just wipe dalvik, cache, and data.
Awesome ROM!

Nice job @osas514, well done, although I already knew you had compiled and made cm14 well before but I had really like others to know that what Osas and devs like me are doing isn't quite so easy job, I know u may have gone through many guides n stuff about compiling ROMs but that's just basic of what goes on into compiling a ROM, the amount of time and patience required to develop a ROM is quite a lot specially when u face errors while compiling, so hearty thanks to Osas for bringing cm and huge shout out to @GHsR for making the device tree and kernel of grand compatible with Nougat, soon expect other custom ROMs from my side too(if time permits)!!!!

Do I have to use (or does it work with) POC DRM from munjeni?
- I'm not aware of this DRM thing, though I'd preferred if you keep using this without any mods.
what is the difference between this rom and Chippa_a rom?

If you have your TA backed up, then you can re-flash your DRM keys for X-reality(picture enhancement) and other good stuff
Here is @munjeni thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/poc-real-trim-instead-drm-fix-t3552893
Does this rom have oms support and daedroza will love to see more work from you thank you
Folks asking, this is a development thread.
- No custom mods
- No Substratum Support
- Nothing that will create unwanted noise in developing / stabilizing this ROM.
Thanks, use only if you're willing to test and are ready to go outside your comfort zone at the time being.

Thanks, I will look into this.
Uploading a new build as we speak. The changelog since 2016 is (I'm just being vague here, I don't remember all the issues, but I do have all the logs with me, if someone is interested):
1. Fix ancient F2FS bug (Specific to Fusion3)
2. Fix https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69849473&postcount=1243
3. Fix https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68245138&postcount=1130
4. Fix for input_evdev specific to us
5. Fix for SWAP
6. Fix for C5502 Double Tap to Wake Screen Freeze.
7. Many other improvements like ZRAM / Process Reclaim / Perf / mmc / Anon Reclaim etc
8. Changes from Chippa_a for XML audio configuration is also picked, I don't know maybe you will see a improvement @gorillanobka?
I haven't gone much into detail, but please send logs (dmesg / last_kmsg / logcat) wherever possible if you face something. At the moment, I only have C5502 (Fusion3 Dogo) with me. Yuga / Odin has hardware specific to them (other than chipset), so I won't be able to reproduce them on my device if you get some event changes / sensors changes.
I've also included a minor hack for auto-brightness. Let me know how you feel about it.
@rabe3ab : Please give it a go? Thanks
Testing and letting you know.
1) USB not getting detected, cleared cache, dalvik twice to see if it's detecting
***It worked after third attempt - might be my ***mistake
2) Sorting in launcher do not sort applications properly (have screen shot)
3) upon screen unlock, infrequently it gets stuck with opaque screen with only back button visible and the it stops responding for 30 seconds then it works
4) reboots infrequently logs attached. It crashes on chrome, SwiftKey etc apps
5) WiFi - shows connected but no packets are sent / received after 1-2 hours, need to either tap to disconnect and then reconnect or needs reboot to get connected to same wifi.

New build is up folks.
- Security patches till July 2017.
- Clean build, inclusive of all changes by LineageOS till yesterday.
- Includes DRM libraries.
- All other standard bugfixes from cm-13.0 thread, all of them. YES, all of them.
- Attempt to fix a problem as told here (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73250499&postcount=16)
Folks, this has been a year long journey for me, let's face it, I am learner, so I need your feedback here. Even a smallest problem (like force closes) will seen as long as you provide logs. Regarding stability, we're not pushing devices that reboot or mess up after some time. A lot of people are involved in completing this and I would like to thank all of them. And good feedbacks are welcome too, if it works for you

Stunning, robust and healthy build!
Thanks for that excellent build!

I' ve decided to give it a go. Thank you @Daedroza. But to be sure that everything goes well, I need little help. Right now i'm on stock 5.1.1 locked bootloader(C5503). Rooted, Xposed and using XZDualRecovery 2.8.26 RELEASE by [NUT]. And my question is: do i NEED to clear my fotakernel before or after unlocking bootloader?( checked from the menu, yes i'm allowed to unlock it). What version TWRP is recommended? Thanks in advance!

[ROM][7.1.2][N8000/N801x/N8020][UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 14.1 Nougat [EOL]

THERE WILL BE NO MORE UPDATES HERE!
This thread hasn't been updated in a while as I'm working on mainline support and a kernel 5.10 release for the Note 10.1. There are excellent releases of Android 9+ from @html6405 now and I don't intend on updating this thread. I'll leave everything as is, but don't expect me to view this thread on a regular basis. Most questions are already answered, use the search.
For the new mainline kernel version, please don't ask for any ETAs, there's still some things to be fixed before there will be an official release and I have a normal life to take care off.
If you have experience with kernel / ROM development and want to help me out? Leave me a message, I'd appreciate any helping hand no matter how much you can contribute, every little bit helps. Even looking at the device tree and giving me hints would be great as I would still consider myself being intermediate at best at putting everything together, it's just a lot to dig into with the little time I have.

Hi, I'm currently trying to get this device officially supported again as I really love it and it never let me down in the last 5 or so years. It still works amazingly fast and I have no need to replace it with anything else.
As I'm a Java engineer for my day job there is a lot of new stuff here, I had some contact with C/C++ when I studied CS a couple of years ago but never actually wrote anything bigger than two or three files in these languages. This is quite an adventure and I learned a lot already but I'm open for any help you can offer. After all, I'm doing this for fun and getting better at whatever hits me in the face while doing it.

FAQ
Q: Why another thread?!?
A: The ROM provided by @lirokoa is great but it is based on sources that deviated quite a lot from the official LOS repo, I try to close this gap and get the ROM aligned to the remaining devices based on the SMDK4412 core so that everbody profits from the development going on there. This ultimately means that we can get a 8.x alpha version "soon" after fixing the remaining issues.
Q: How can I help to improve the ROM?
A: If you are a developer, I'd be happy to discuss the remaining issues with you and how to approach/solve them. I'm open for pull requests on Github. If you are testing the ROM and can provide log files for issues this is also a great thing, even more so if it is one of the devices I do not own.
Q: What's up with the performance?
A: Disable Live Display, it's actually not supported by the GPU (or at least by the current driver)
Q: The camera is crashing!
A: Use Open Camera
Q: Wifi attempts to connect but never succeeds!
A: Try reflashing again, including wiping. This usually fixes it.

will try it in a free time.
: )
Downloading. Will post some feedbacks later. Thanks for continuing the development on this old brick. ?
i couldn't get secretwolf98 version to install on my n8013 so i am keen to see if this one will install for me when the n801x version is ready
There is a new build with basic camera support, the back camera has some issues with recording videos which will crash your camera app. I noticed that activating the torch while having the camera app open in the background/foreground will also crash the camera app, so still some issues there.
The work on the camera will go on after the big party, I wish everyone a good start into 2019
I still use 2 of these and thank you for getting back into it. Using lineage 14.1 now. Will keep watching.
Great. I've just incidentally gone back to this forum after a long time to check if there's any newer ROM than lirokoa's for my N8000
I'll check it out. Thanks a lot
Got it all installed - but can't get over an error code 190 ("can't download app")when trying to install chrome. Unsure if this is rom related or gapps related.
Also flashed the 14.1 su package - works well with the rom as expected. Youtube from the play store does not work - plays audio but no video. Other than that as I play with this I'll see if I can find any other bugs. Really appreciative of you picking this up!
Thank you very much for continuing the development of this tablet!
My N8000 is presently running on lirakoa's latest build lineage-14.1-20170810-UNOFFICIAL-n8000 with open gapps micro and as root solution Magisk 18.0.
Recovery is TWRP 3.02.
Everything is working fine except the well known bugs, and it seems that most of these have been fixed in your latest build.
I've never tried video recording with this tablet but had some camera crashes recently when using the ClearScanner app, in fact it's not usable with this app.
Otherwise I think it's usable as daily driver, and it was.
My daughter used it for university until recently.
So, as far as I understand, your build should be on the same level and I'm gonna try it very soon.
Do you think a dirty flash could work?

Not quite yet, lirokoa put some effort in the ROM and there are probably things that I don't know about yet which are broken. See my last quote above for example. I'm still learning the inner working of the linux kernel and Android which is quite a huge task.

It could work but there is no guarantee as always. There are some changes here and there which can potentially break it.

The 190 issue was fixed with a reflash and and formatting my system. Took 3 times - not sure but I think it was on my end. The youtube however is still at issue. I was able to view in browser w/o issue though. It is just the app. Side loaded a bunch of older APKs of youtube with same result.

I can confirm your observations. Chrome is running smooth but the youtube app is only giving me audio with a black video stream.

It is really good ROM for N8000! But it seems not all video codecs are switched on in assembly. Except YouTube any IPTV application does not work, there is no video in Instagram (the still image of the first frame only) and in browsers many videos cannot be reproduced too.
Samsung SmartThins and Samsung Galaxy Apps application and is not started too. Sadly, as I remember, only from Galaxy Apps can be install the S-Pen application. By the way, somebody knows where to take .apk for Samsung Galaxy Apps? And how to work with the stylus?
Thank you very much for this ROM I'm new here on XDA, however I have recently flash this ROM to my n8013 it's running pretty good, but I have 2 issues so far.
First, I'm having some troubles accessing to my wifi network, I have a Spectrum router which have 2g and 5g but it keep saying that the password may be incorrect, I have try many apps so far changing settings on my router but no success; but when I go with my phone on Hotspot I can get access and establish connection.
I'm also trying to get root access, I already flash the path for LineageOS 14.1 but when I go to developers I can't get access to the manage option. And when I run the root checker app I shows that I don't have root access.
Thanks,

Have you tried Magisk for root already?

UPD.
Found Samsung Galaxy Apps. It's no S-Pen application too. There is a Google hand-written input. It is possible to cost them also and not to found S-Pen any more.
So, will be great if there is a video's full support and will earn Samsung SmartThins and if earns the IR-port for control of household appliances (now does not work on N8000). After everything it will be a masterpiece!
many thanks for the new build :good:

for me it worked
There is an issue with decoding the video stream but I'm not quite sure what's the root cause yet. Still investigating.

LineageOS needs no introductions. This version of LineageOS-14.1 is a highly customised version solely for the Amazon Fire 2019 (mustang)
- IMPORTANT: This ROM only works on devices using the bootloader hack. See <<< HERE >>> to unlock your devices.
- IMPORTANT: Do not update Magisk via the Magisk Manager App, your device will enter a bootloop if you do. Instead update Magisk via TWRP only. If you do this by accident then it is recoverable by just flashing the latest version of the ROM again (with gapps etc as required).

You could use open gapps, you'll need 32 bit arm 7.1 version. I'll update the OP.
Weren't kidding about screen tear. Looking good so far. Will report back issues.
Waiting for device tree. Great work!
Curious if LOS 14.1 variant will be back ported to unlocked Ford and/or Austin? Assume not (perhaps due to older kernel) but wanted to verify.

I was planning to go straight to los16 for ford, austin and suez at some point.
I flashed this on my tablet and it works great for the most part. The vertical sync issue is annoying but on some media playback it seems non-existant. The biggest issue I've had so far is that for some reason the tablet appears to die. Every now and then it stops responding to the power button and the display just stays off. Connecting the charger does charge it but nothing comes to life. I have to force shut it down and restart it, and it works again.

It might be missing /firmware/md32_p.bin and md32_d.bin.

Traffic not routed through Open VPN tunnel
Hi @ggow,
first of all, thanks a lot for your effort in bringing lineage to mustang. A working custom rom was the only reason for me to purchase an amazon fire
I followed @xyz post to unlock (thanks a lot for that by the way) and flashed your lineage rom.
I used OpenVPN Connect to connect to a vpn server and even though, the connection seems to be successfully established (OpenVPN Connect indicates a successful connection) , traffic is not routed through the vpn tunnel. When visiting different whats-my-ip sites, the "real" ip address is revealed. Please find the logs here: https://privatebin.net/?e1bc0fbde46a0809#CXvsF8SjyjwsqL1CXt6uLu5QAVAg9QKRF21JSxNLssFa
Is anyone experiencing the same problem?
Thanks and regards,
Chris
Same here for both the random black screen problem and the VPN issue. I'm connected to NordVPN, but my IP shows my actual location.

Thanks for the reports, I'll look into the VPN issue and the power issue. I included the md32p and md32d software but suspect that code is not running for some reason and causing the power/blank screen issue.

For blank screen issue look at power.mt81xx.so and power.default.so in logcat or if they're missing.

Thanks for this! So far everything is working ok. But yeah, a lot of screen tearing with Chrome, etc. Otherwise its pretty cool though!
Yikes. I see what was meant about screen tearing.
Seeing as the CPU is 64bit, what's the likelihood of the being a 64 bit ROM for this device?
I need to further investigate this but I'm fairly sure that the battery drained exceptionally quickly. I only flashed the ROM yesterday and the battery was dead when I looked this morning
