Do you have any idea if it'll have the latest UI look and icons as Android Oreo?

Then I'm confused as I read in the note 2 forum that the kernel is too old and they need to update at least to 3.4...

Can I ask why you'd want CM12.1?
There's LoS13 and 14.1 available for the FN/F model which has the same SC9830 SoC. The G and M models have the same SC9830 too. Pretty sure there's been mention of them being worked on.

i dont see a reason to get cm 12.1, its already dead and outdated. get lineage os 13 or 14.1, its fast, smooth and the most stable roms i have tested for the j3.

Yes los 14 is good but i also wanna try cm12.1 because it 'nearly' stock rom so i think it work without bug

If you're referring to cm12.1 being lollipop like stock then that doesn't make a difference. Someone still needs to build an AOSP rom and obviously along comes bugs. You're essentially asking someone to work on building a ROM with android from over a year ago
