Was the last jedi filmed in 2d or 3d? - Off-topic

I wanna watch the film like it was shot, normally a converted film to 3d doesn't look that good, I haven't found info about this ( and I've been afraid to open wikipedia because of the spoilers) just some people saying it looks grey and dull in 3d and other people saying it looks amazing on 3d - , so how was it originally shot?

What i think is a problem too:
There is not much depth in the video. It's Full HD. But look at the grass for example:

It looks like a game with DirectX 2 or sth like that or as if the Textures would'nt be that good

Please like my video and I can win an LG Optimus 3D

Hi there,
I am competing in a contest where I can win the LG Optimus 3D Smartphone by making a video that I'd like to see in 3D. When my video will be chosen I will receive the Optimus 3D to film this movie in 3D and then I might even win a 3D TV as well!
Anyway, part of the contest is the number of views and 'likes' the video gets on YouTube, this is where you come in
Could you please watch, rate (and maybe even comment!) my video so that I make a little more chance to win the LG Optimus 3D?
Thanks alot if you want to ! This is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rW7VbpqK0kk
Done,
Commented too
I was once almost a gull crapped on your head
Done!!!
Thanks alot dudes, for the comment too! I really appreciate it

LIST of videos LG Thrill converts to quality 3d

Hello all,
I looked around and did not see a thread like this at all, so I figured we could start one.
Personally I like to store lots of music videos on my phones to watch on busses or smoke breaks. I use a simple YouTube downloader to get my videos. I figure this list doesn't just have to be music videos, but that's all I've tested so far. I will update this post with any suggestions you throw in that you found converted 2d into 3d well. I only have one for the list so far.
MUSIC VIDEOS:
Kanye West-Power
(Just the way the music video is set up, a slow moving picture with the camera slowing zooming out, made for a really awesome 3d effect.)
LMFAO-Party Rock Anthem
(With a lot of what I've been trying to watch, I get a half decent 3d effect, mostly one thing propped forward, this video converted with lots of depths and watching it felt like the video was made in 3d)
If you know of any, do tell.
There's no such thing as a quality 3D conversion, even when done professionally at $100k per minute of footage.
Eh, I get what your saying, but quality in terms of what the phone can do.

So are we talking about GB's new 3D converter or just when you push the 3D button on 2.2 during a video?
I'm just talking about the button pushing. Is there a gb rom that can convert videos? I just bought my phone off a person and it came rooted but I haven't picked a rom yet, any good suggestions? And how does this gb converter your talking about work?

And is your name because you like fight club a lot?

Yeah, TylDurden was inspired by fight club and, Man, I can't stand the 3D "conversion" on the Thrill. I didn't find it useful at all. Yes, GB on the Thrill apparently has a legit 3D Converter for games at least, I assume it works for videos as well.
Yeah, I've found a lot of the conversion to be rather lame, but these videos actually worked well. I'm going to be trying videos soon. I expect inception to do okay, and maybe the green lantern.

Try actual 3D movies on your phone and you'll see what I'm talking about. On second thought don't cause the conversion function will be broken to you like it is for me.

... now explain a little further LOL
How did you get actual 3d movies to watch? Did you stream it from somewhere or have it transferred from a computer and watched in the video player? And what happened to your conversion? Your saying watching an actual video that is made for 3d screw something up with the phone?

I have a theory

Okay I know for most 3D we need glasses and the type of 3D the is glasses free means you have to have the screen directly in front of you. I think we need a good glasses free 3D, agreed?
Well the earlier I saw a gif of different faces taking at different angles and as it merged from one photo to another (rather quickly) it give an illusion of 3D depth such as watching a 3DTV. So my theory is;
The frame from the left camera is shown then the same frame from the right camera replaces it, it does this but each frame is on screen half the time they would be normally would doing this give the illusion of 3D like 3DTV does, could anybody create a video that does this? Would this work?
Im thinking it could work but it would be a pain to do it. You will need 2 cameras, the settings excactly the same on them with speed of like 60 frames per second, maybe even closer to 100 fps. Then you will need to import it into some kick ass video editing software, sync the videos up, and tell the program to drop every 2nd frame and replace it with the frame from the other video.
They would have to film at 29.98fps on each camera, since that's what our eyes see. Then for different effects, just double, triple or whatever the framerate, and then merge the two vids with the frames alternating, then we might see 3D
or you could do this
There is a display that shows holographic 3D without glasses, but it's ridiculously expensive and impractical for now. Tech is on the way though.
3D gives me a headache....

3d? What 3d?
I watched movies in 3d since like...never I think (I've wanted to but I can't ). But meh, what so interesting about those conventional 3d anyway? I'm still waiting for universal holographic projection to comes out.

Yeah. Kinda reminds me of a TV program here in the UK a few years ago where they went out to a shopping centre and asked normal people to try on some 3D glasses. The reactions of some people who didn't get the irony; "Oh no, I don't like those. I'd rather carry on living life with 2D vision"
