i'm searching on ebay but still can't decide about case? is anybody use case with p970?

I ordered a similar case from seller 'moonstore_au" more than a month ago.
They are going to either send me out a replacement or refund my money if it doesn't arrive this week.
With that said, be careful of cheap ones!

yes, this is the downside of free, un-tracked shipping. all of my dealextreme.com orders arrived with no problem. i hope this ebay seller won't dissapoint me.
btw, there is no p970 cases at dealextrme. it's really disappointing.

my order has arrived. perfect fit. you can press hard buttons easily. don't collect dust. white one is looking really good. looks better than black case.
just one thing bothers me. sharp edges at back side are show some kind of trace at white transparent area.. it's not a permanent thing. it's not even a trace actually. just doens't look good. but not a big problem.

it seems very thin and it is hard rubber!

have you guys tried looking around gmarket korea? it's like korean ebay, and because lg is a korean brand you can actually find quite a few varieties of optimus black accessories there. english.gmarket.co.kr. try searching "optimus black" or "KU5900".
I got mine for about USD10, and shipping to Singapore (where I live) was another 10USD (because I didn't buy anything else.. basically gmarket kr allows you to shop from all the korean shops, then consolidates the orders and sends it to you by EMS).

cool I like this, I wanna buy one.

I've been looking for a back cover for my ob for a long time, not a tpu to be exact, but more like a metallic/hard plastic/rubber back cover for the phone, anyone got any ideas where I could get one?

[Q] PORTRAIT or portrait AND landscape cases

I've been reading through the various case threads and many folks, myself included, want a case that specifically supports portrait mode. There are quite a few on Amazon that do this, either by rotating or with velcro. I've used this search (http://www.amazon.com/s/?url=search-alias=electronics&field-keywords=+nexus+7+case+portrait) to turn up quite a few.
Opinions? Links to other sites/cases?

I also want a case that will primarily be in portrait. I can tell you from experience that the one that says Exact (TM) 360 degree Rotary Leather case for Google Nexus 7 Android Tablet by Asus

That's just the display pic since they haven't released it yet. The Nexus 7 version of will have the speaker grills.

I've contacted the seller and they told me there is a cut out for the speaker and all other ports and features. Based on their email and customer service I have ordered it. If you want to wait until I receive mine I'll post a little review. I was once a high end luggage and leather salesman so I expect I'll be pretty brutal.

I'm looking forward to your review, extra brutal or not. I'd really like to find one that doesn't add a lot of bulk. And, TBH, I don't care a lot if it can act as a stand in landscape mode or not -- it just adds bulk. And before anyone asks, no, I don't watch a lot of videos

That one looks interesting I will be waiting for your review. I especially would like to know how it performs in portrait orientation which is my main interest because other ones that I have seen in that same style, when in portrait mode, are useless because the back is too flimsy to hold it up at all or collapse as soon as you touch the touch screen.

I had Moko brand for my old Galaxy Tab 7 Plus. Generally they're ok... Seems hood quality but I notice some of the stitching came apart after a few months.

Hey guys, they shipped and it arrived a day earlier than expected. I will definitely be buying from BSCstore again. Here's my Amazon review:
I can't believe this is only $15. I know it's fake leather and that is part of the low price but the construction seems solid. I'd give it 5 stars right out of the gate but I am waiting to see how well it wears over the next few months. Now that my N7 is covered I will be bringing it everywhere. But based on price and initial value this case is a home run.
It should provide protection if dropped or stuffed into a backpack.
The lining is soft and smooth.
As a stand it provides 3 positions in landscape and and 1 in portrait.
It feels good and secure in my hand.
The "clips" that hold the N7 do not cover the bezel, and therefore the good looks of the device, at all.
As described, all the ports and speaker are open.
Again, the construction is surprisingly good.
The swivel is smooth.
It looks good, like it should have cost a little more.
It does have a few drawbacks. None that were problematic for me but probably for others. I'll nit pick for them.
The case definitely adds bulk to the N7. The fabric ridges that hold it up for viewing add a lot so if you want that feature expect added bulk from any case that does it.
The fake leather is pretty stiff and I suspect it will crease or not wear well (just a guess).
The stylus holder isn't shown in the pictures. It is on the front and some might not find it attractive.
No clasp.
There is a cheap elastic strap inside which I guess could be used as a hand strap. I think it can be better used to keep the case closed when you stuff it in a backpack. It isn't good at this job but there isn't any other option if you want to keep it tightly closed.
Tiny complaint - when it's holding the N7 in portrait it sits at about a 45 degree angle. Not ideal for me as the viewing angle isn't great for seeing it across the kitchen to see the recipes.
I'll update in a few months when I know if it will wear well. But honestly, for $15 I'd be happy to get 6 months out of it.

Thanks for the review. I'm not crazy about adding that much bulk to a small, light device but it might be a good addition for protection, particularly if you're traveling. And $15 is a great price!
I'm still looking for a case for daily use that will let me view the tablet in portrait mode. Honestly, I don't see why more people aren't looking for these. It doesn't seem like it would be difficult to build -- just make a case that opens like a steno notebook (i.e. from the TOP instead of the SIDE) and you don't have to get into the whole rotate thing. I'd spend $15-$30 for a case like that.

Can't you get on that opens like a book and flip the cover almost all the way back to do the same thing?

Real black back housing cover

hi guys, I cant understand if real black back cover really exists. Some vendors sells parts where they say the item is black, however you cant tell from photos if the color is real black or normal midnight blue.
Do they really exists? Or we have to manage with dbrand skins or similar to have a black n6?

There is no original black battery cover, but they do exist, just not official ones. You can buy them from ebay and so on.
By my experience some of these covers are nearly identical to original ones, but depends on your luck sometimes...

I just ordered this one the other day http://m.ebay.com/itm/251723199982?_mwBanner=1. Selecting the black one will be the one that's used on the Moto X Pro. Which is almost the same exact phone, just not the Nexus version.

Yes but the black one moto x pro doesn't have the nexus logo , only motorola

Moto X Pro battery cover looks grippy with soft touch material applied on top of plastic. It would work better than stock nexus 6 battery cover. I would ditch nexus logo on the back for a better grip.

I just got it in the mail today. Applied it. It fit excellent. It has a rubbery, soft touch feel. Way easier to grip than the factory one. I'm a fan. I think I might order a few more just to have them.

Very nice indeed, did the battery door come with its own adhesive ?

@Semseddin Yup. It has this super sticky adhesive already applied. The hardest part is getting the old one off. You have to be really careful. There's some heat shield or something that separates the battery and the back cover. Once I started removal, I used a manicure tool I had with a rounded edge to separate the back cover from it. Here's a good video showing the removal and replacement.

I can take it out using my bare fingernails, being a cell techician for quite a while.. I ordered 3 pieces of black battery doors. 1 for myself and 2 for my customers. I watched a nice moto x pro review on youtube by rozedked. Provides detailed look of the black battery door. I think more nexus6 owners will realize the need of this battery door as the stock plastic battery door is so fingerprint magnet and slippery and tends to get scratched easily. None of these would be an issue with the black soft touch moto x pro back cover.

Did you ever get any more of those? I went to order some more and they're sold out. I did find a place that sells the adhesive backing for them so I could reuse the one I have easily. I just did a frame swap because my blue frame had a couple nicks, plus I was tired of looking at it. Went with the frame from the white version this time.

The ones i bought all came with adhesive and %100 oem original motorola parts. I will pm you my sellers' email address so you can contact him yourself.

Thank you! The one I got came with adhesive too. But it gets a little messed up if you have to remove it. That's where I was getting at when I said I found replacement double sided adhesive. Then you can peel off the old, heat up the new. Slap it on and reuse the same battery cover as often as you need to. Still... I'd love to be able to purchase some more if your seller has any left. There were two sellers on eBay I've seen and both of them are out of stock now. ?

I've never actually tried it, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. It's made of the same material as the stock one. Just a soft touch rubber coating. I'd think the only thing that would hinder NFC would be something metal.

Skin Tech OP3 skin (India)

I found out this new brand on Instagram called Skin Tech. I had been using dbrand for my phones uptil now. I saw that they sell skins for Oneplus 3 and they say that they are made of 3M which is supposed to be the same material dbrand also uses and it was cheap at 499Rs. (7.5$) so I decided to give it a try. Apparently they're based in India. I ordered a teak wood and a matte black.
I got the skin and you can't really tell the difference between this and a dbrand's skin. Also came in a nice packaging with a cleaning cloth. I've applied the teak wood right now. I had a matte black one from dbrand for my Nexus and this is the same matte black material not bad considering the price and it took 5 days to come. But they only ship to India.

In a long line of clones lol. The 7 was just a regurgitated i6, which ripped off basically all of the HTC One M series and Xiaomi. Sure would be nice to see companies do something original again.

Where are you located? There's no mention of a case being included in the U.S. "what's included" description. I personally like to just stick a skin on the back followed by a ultra thin clear TPU case, so if one's included, I wouldn't need to bother buying another case.

I'm from Finland so I quess phone is european version. The skin came in untouched 1+ box.

I believe there is only one version sold worldwide, and I've seen the skin included in some of the unboxing videos I've seen on YouTube.

Ok. Imo this cover is too thin and wont come over the front edges to cover screen so i ordered bumber case.

I ordered yesterday in Amazon and I have received flagship few hours before. It's just awesome.
