I sent Supcase a message using Facebook messenger about the likelihood of the OP5T getting a Unicorn Beetle case and they responded with:
"We are making the OnePlus 5T UB case, but we do not have an available date yet. Keep visiting our website, we'll be happy to assist you when the product be available. ?"
I have used their cases on my 3 previous devices and have been very satisfied. I work in an industrial environment where pocket carry is very uncomfortable, yet exposed belt clip leaves the device vulnerable. This Unicorn Beetle Pro allows a belt clip carry and is durable enough to protect the device as I crawl around inside the belly of commercial aircraft. I have observed that these cases outlast the device's software support life, even on Nexus and flagship devices!
I contacted Spigen for their Spigen Neo Hybrid case, and they said they're not making it for the 5T
That's great news. I've had their case on my N6 for years now and it has survived many falls. I hope they release soon because I'm a little paranoid carrying this 5T with nothing more than the carbon bumper on it.

UPDATE: Just spoke with one of their people in sales. They don't have plans to make a case for the OP5T since they didn't sell too many for the 5. He assured me they would have considered it if sales were better and there were more inquiries.
Oh well that's dissapointing. Thanks for the update though.
I haven't bought other cases as I was waiting for the unicorn beetle. Would have sent them a message if I thought it would have helped, but as I read this thread last year I assumed it was coming. Don't know what I'll do now!
I NEED THIS loved it for N6P
That sucks. I ordered a different case when I emailed them about OP5T availability and they didn't respond.
I did order a case that's VERY similar, just no front cover which I don't feel is necessary with a decent screen protector. I put it on and realized how similar it looked. It's the best case I've found so far as far as protection goes.

Thanks for the info. That one copies the styling of the unicorn beetle pro but otherwise it's not really like it at all. The 2 piece design /front cover is the whole point of the unicorn beetle. I've had one on every phone I've owned and it's a bulletproof case. I had my 6P in a unicorn beetle when it fell off my motorbike at 120+kph. The case was scratched up but the phone was untouched.

A lot of people disliked the front cover and many others didn't care either way. For those people, this is an excellent option. It's still the best option I've found for the OP5T so far. I was hoping for the Unicorn Beetle also, but I guess that's not happening.

Every time I have installed this case I have removed the screen protector. Dust accumulation between the screen and that film is terrible. The best feature of this case is how it has such a deep frame around the screen. The holster is also a great feature. I have an active work environment (aircraft maintenance) where I need to have it with me at all times, but I need it protected. I cannot keep it in my pocket, that restricts movement. Hip mounted swiveling carry is my best solution.
And a case is coming...according to Supcase. I hope it is the Unicorn Beetle Pro. Check the attached photo...

Awesome. The last communication from them was that they weren't making on at the OP5 didn't sell well. I think it will sell well for this as the case market for this phone sucks so far.
Hopefully, except they are releasing the case about the time frame the 6 will be out. So not exactly good timing on their part. I loved my Beetle hybrid for my Nexus 5X, I hope that's what they release for the 5T, I'd buy that to replace my Spigen. Either way I feel like they should have released it sooner if they wanted it to sell better. Better later than never though I guess.

No it's not. It's almost exactly the opposite of a unicorn beetle. Nothing in common at all.

Actually it's quite close to what I hope they make. It's very close to their Unicorn Beetle Hybrid case. They could have given them different names though so it wasn't as confusing.
See this example: Nexus 5X Unicorn Beetle Hybrid
That's the case I've been using for a long time on my Nexus 5X. However I can see how having a quality heavy duty case would be a good thing for some people.

Wow finally. Now we need different designs. Forget other brands.
It's listed on Amazon now. Showing that it should be available on April 9th. I went ahead and ordered one. I'll update when I get it and let everyone know how it fits.

Ok so i got my N6 back in November, and one thing that is clear to me is the fact that is phone is not a caseless phone or even a TPU phone...It is extreme fragile so much so that that I broke mine 4 days after having it naked, and someone broke their with the case that I had ordered off amazon the night I brought my phone...
Even my lifestyle a TPU case is probably not going to cut it for me so I'm looking for a really good Heavy Duty Case (tragic waste of a beautiful phone)
I found these on amazon Supcase and Poetic
The Supcase have pretty good review...none for the poetic...anyone have either one that can give me a bit of insight?
Please and thank you.
Ringke max? It's a two layer case and is pretty protective while providing a good value.

I actually have the Ringke Max on now, and its only a single layer protection, also the reason I want a new case is because someone reported breaking their screen with the Ringke on...It's probably would not have broke with if he had a TGSP on (not sure if he did actually, I'm just assume here)
Just wanted a full body case, cause I really don't think Motorola would replace my phone for free again if I broke it again lol
**Edit**
Just saw that the Max is 2 layer...the hard layer is just built onto the soft...interesting design.

I've dropped my Nexus 6 at the gym with a Cruzerlite TPU case and it fell onto the steel leg on the bench press and it was fine. I thought it would have broken by how it fell but time and time again I'm surprised by TPU cases.

yea, and ordinarily I would be happy with just a tpu case, cause I don't like bulk in fact I dont even like cases on an expensive phone that looks great...but considering how I crack my screen with this phone the first time....I'm extremely cautious with this phone right now :crying:
I also have the Cruzerlite (best looking case so far) but it just dont feel safe enough for me. I just use a TPU and TG for the screen maybe that will be enough...

I've dropped many phones with a Cruzerlite and never broken a screen. I broke a tempered glass screen protector on my G3 but the phone was fine. Maybe I'm just lucky I can't stand bulky cases. I know how you feel because if I broke my screen I would be upset so I bought moto care just in case.

I wouldn't use the Neo Hybrid unless they fixed the extremely tight fit issue. My bumper broke in less than a week on my Spigen because of this and don't forget you can use that case with a skin. I posted pictures way back when this happened in the Spigen OP. The Slim armor is alright I still have mine because it wasn't worth paying for the shipping to return it.

I was in the USMC (got our back in 2012) so I know how it is. The field is never kind to phones, after I was in afghan my iPhone 3gs at the time managed to get sand under the screen
I have almost every case mention in this thread. I've posted pictures already but I will keep this short in sweet. Hands down best protection case is the Supcase, but it's extremely bulky. A much better option is the iblason slim. Provide excellent protection, probably 80% of the supcase, but nowhere near as bulky. I just left that case and now I'm using the S-Case because I wanted something smaller, I have moto care so if I break my phone I will get a new one. My new case will be here next week.... review to follow
Best Case:

2)Ballistic tough-jacket-maxx.

Best Tempered glass screen Protector:
Jelly Comb Premium 9H Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Nexus 6 - Anti-scratch Oleophobic - Anti Shatter - 0.3mm Ultra Slim.

I'm thoroughly enjoying my heavy duty supcase with the holster. For the past few years I've used wallet cases on my Galaxy notes. I m happy I went this route.
Suggestion for a good tank-like case for the 5X?
The iblason armor case has the most protection. It has the front bezels fully covered in plastic and a built in screen protector. I have it and it doesn't feel particularly great in hand but its worth it for the protection.

Another +1 for the Unicorn Beetle. I picked one up and it's fantastic.
I was alwas hesitant about the built in screen protectors for these types of cases, thinking the display might look distorted or sensitivity might be reduced.
Well this may be the case for other brands, but i am now oficially a convert. Screen looks awesome, and sensitivity is great. Supcase have done a fricking good job.
It offers very good protection (probably the best for nexus 5x), the fit is spot on....and, it has dust covers for your ports. I originally wanted a Ballistic tough jacket, but after contacting their suport i have confirmation it doesn't come with dust covers, a shame really.
This is now my 5th case (LOL) but i have finally found the right one. I nearly had a destroyed phone on my hands when i dropped it using a Ringke slim. It smashed my Spigen tempered glass, but survived.
Anyway, if you want a case that is both user friendly, looks good and most importantly built like a tank, then look no further. You won't be disapointed.

I agree with both on this case. I bought it for my 5X and love it. The fit is great, and it really doesn't add a lot of bulk or size to the phone; especially the sides and top/bottom. The thickness is probably doubled, but then the phone isn't really that thick to begin with, so the added thickness isn't too bad, in my opinion. I, too, like the built in screen protector. I could take or leave the dust covers, but that's just my personal preference.

Yes, the bulkiness is something I forgot to mention. Totally agree, it does make the phone thicker but overall doesn't feel too bulky. That's another reason I didn't go ballistic, as I heard they add a lot of bulk. As for the dust covers, I kinda need them in my line of work. There's nothing worse than plugging my phone in at night to hear a *crunch*. I've been using film screen protectors for years, and more recently tempered glass. It took a lot of debating in my head before I gave the Supcase a try. I just hope they are still making good cases like this when it comes time to upgrade my phone.
Which SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle case did you guys get? There seems to be a few variations... slim, heavy duty, etc.
I just took advantage of the Project Fi discount on the 5x, so now need accessories!

I concur with this-the heavy duty pro is a great case, excellent design and stout. On Amzn, people complained about dots or 'oil slick' on the protector but I'm not seeing it. can't even tell the screen protector is on. My only gripe is it shows EVERY finger print. Being matte or oleophobic would have been better but the prints are only noticeable when off. Ditto on the dust covers - great idea but I can see myself possibly getting tired of them (that's why Xacto's were made :laugh
I got the holster which is meh...not a fan of huge ass phones on your hip but it may come in handy if I need to toss my phone in a bag (e.g while on a waterpark ride)

Hi. Thank for answers. If I gonna make it to buy from USA somehow becosue they dont ship to Poland.
Im gonna cut of the bulid screen protector too.

Late reply, my brother and I have this case too. I removed the plastic cover since it doesn't do such a good job with touches, but protection wise it's great, if dropped my phone with this case and so has my brother and there still in 1 piece. The screen hasn't cracked, nor has the case popped off. (And no there not often drops, not supper clumsy) but if it every slips and falls it does a pretty good job at protecting it.

It's a pain, but I started with a cut with a exacto knife, then I was able to slowly pop it out....now the glue that remains is a different story. The one i bought for my shamu i was able to peel the glue off....now with this one, goo gone was the only thing that took the glue off the piece, it's a pain but as far as protection goes it's well worth it.
Got 2 days ago SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Pro for my OP5T... Was waiting since long for this cover... But quite disappointed after applying.. As i hve same cover for my Nexus 6 (Shamu) which is real beast.... Almost 4 years of usage and still looks like brand new. Whereas the quality of rubber is not like the one i have.. It's very loose. Just a soft touch also opening the rubber pickings from front whereas on Shamu it not that much easy to open the cover.... But still happy to have SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Pro..... As device is now damn safe.... Going to remove the protection film as after 2 days also film is not perfectly fitted...
Just sharing my experience here...

Hi,
Does anyone know where to get a plastic holster for Honor View 10 in US. I checked on eBay and Amazon ans searched online otherwise too but cant find it anywheere.
I figured that since oneplus 5t are pretty much same dimensions and back camera positions are same too i can use the one for oneplus 5t on honor view 10 but cant find one for oneplus 5t also. Any ideas?
I know this is an older thread, buy my oldest son just bought himself a 5T, and purchased this case for it on my recommendation. I've got it on my OP5, and had it on my Nexus 5X. I love it! My wife also has it on her OP5. We've never had issues with the built-in screen protector (well, my wife occasionally does, but I think that's due to her constantly using oils and her fingers have it on them). I did finally cut it out of the case for the N5X just because it got so scratched up when I let my youngest son use the phone after I got the OP5.
If anyone receives any kind of update on the Rhinoshield cases, can you post about it here? Been patiently waiting. It appears they have them for the 7T Pro, but not regular 7T.

Has anyone tried these cases? Currently using the RIngke Fusion X but looking for a less bulky case. Wanted to see if anyone out there has had experience with this brand?
Rhinoshield is known to be a very good case. It can protect your phone really good.
I have the rhinoshield bumper and I really like it, because it allows me to feel how good the phones feels in hand with a good Protection to impacts as long as it won't fall on a rock. The bumper is very slippery tho. B

how are the buttons though? i've heard various things like they're too hard or some say they're too mushy. I'm curious on the button feel and especially the alert slider button? Thanks!
https://rhinoshield.io/pages/solidsuit?device=oneplus-7t
I have the solid suit, the case is great and you could think the protection is good but it sucks, I dropped my phone from pocket height and the internal oled cracked, no absorption from the case at all, I got the phone repaired and 2 weeks later I take the case off and the back panel is cracked too
I'm on the hunt for a good Case for my 8T so far I couldn't find something that's not bulky and ugly looking, I'm looking for something strong but thin and light, is the dbrand Grip Case worth it or it's just a hype around a product because they have a good PR team or is it really as good as they say?
I had one for my OnePlus 6 before this phone and I really liked it, it was quite bulky but felt quite nice. Only problem was the bumper came away from the back really quickly but dbrand created a twitter thread explaining the problem and how they'd fix it so I'm assuming it is fixed
I know dbrand is worth it but I have always loved Urban armor gear they have always taken care of my phone I've had them for my last six devices and I could check my phone across the room and not have a scratch or break screen nothing because it does come up over the screen just a little bit on every device and I love that

I'm on the hunt for a good Case for my 8T so far I couldn't find something that's not bulky and ugly looking, I'm looking for something strong but thin and light, is the dbrand Grip Case worth it or it's just a hype around a product because they have a good PR team or is it really as good as they say?

I've used dbrand on my OnePlus 7Pro, OnePlus 8, and I have it pre-ordered for the 8t right now. It's never let me down and I've dropped my phone a lot. Plus whenever my 5 y/o gets a hold of my phone I'm not too concerned if he drops it and I have that case on. Also, it's not as bulky as you would expect it to be, at least that's my opinion on it.
Tech 21 has a decent clear and check case for the 8T. I have used the Dbrand case many times in the past and they are great but shipping is long and cost is high for something you could get on amazon etc.. I don't find them to be the "Grippiest" like they claim. But they are good, Hence why I've owned a few. I couldn't find the Tech 21 cases online but T-mobile has them for their 8T+5G version in store that is identical to the regular 8T in almost every way.
I got my Grip case today.. It does add a bit of bulk but it's a really nice case .. The cut outs are al in the right place and well spaced and even, the liner is a nice touch and well package..
Update.. the edge of the case is to narrow and close to the edge of the screen, that it messes with the different screen protectors I have tried.. one was the Oneplus 3d and another was a tpu style..
It has a simple design with wonderful grip, offers military-grade protection, and the click buttons I've ever experienced.
