Suddenly, I am not able to activate WiFi using Settings. It just hangs for a while and then tells me that Settings isn't working.. If I power off and then on, everything works OK.
Can I fix this?
Thanks.
Is this on original OxygenOS ROM? Sounds like your wifi driver crashed and burned, probably caused by something wrong in the driver or the userspace.
All you can do is make sure your system is updated, and if that doesn't help, do a factory restore and hope for the best.
I have unbricked a op3T 128gb today and i'm having the same issue. i bought the phone bricked and i have no info about the history of it. after the unbrick process i have oxygenos 3.5.1 android 6.0.1 on it. Kernel is 3.18.20-pref+
if i think about it someone might updated it and now it needs the modem updating or something? how can i update everything to latest oxygenOS trough Abd or without any wifi?
Wifi mac address is 02:00:00:00:00:00 hmmm....

You can always download the latest full OOS zip to the root of the internal storage, rename it to update.zip and the just enter normal recovery using volume up and power to let it install.

Hello,
After getting the latest 5.1.1 OTA (build 23.4.A.0.546), my Wifi connection keeps dropping irregularly: sometimes the connection is stable for one hour, most of the times it drops after a few seconds. This happens on any Wifi network (tried both home, work and public Wifi).
Sometimes after a reboot the WLAN mac address is "unknown" and then I can't get a connection at all (I have to reboot until my mac address "comes back")
The connection drop happens in Safe mode as well.
Steps I've tried to fix this:
-Repair phone with PC Companion => doesn't change anything, Wifi is even unavailable during the setup process after initial boot.
-Tried flashing with Flashtool to a previous Lollipop version (5.0.2 23.1.A.128 which worked fine with my phone before) =>
doesn't work: I can't flash the device, despite installing the latest (0.9.19.0) version of Flashtool and the drivers, I have the following error when preparing the firmware:
Code:
16/054/2015 18:54:07 - INFO - Selected Bundle for Sony Xperia Z3 Compact (D5803). FW release : 23.1.A.1.28. Customization : Customized_FR
16/054/2015 18:54:07 - INFO - Preparing files for flashing
16/054/2015 18:54:07 - ERROR -
16/054/2015 18:54:07 - INFO - Cannot open bundle. Flash operation canceled
The firmware was downloaded through Mega, with a link provided in the Xda forum thread with the firmwares list.
For the sake of it, I tried with two different firmwares: another downloaded from the forum, and one from Xperifirm; unfortunately the same error happens in Flashtool when preparing the firmware.
Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks.
I'm using same version firmware and the Wifi works perfectly. have you tried deactivate "Auto IP support" and "Passpoint"? and try turn off Stamina mode.

Yes, both Auto IP support and Passpoint are deactivated.
The issue persists with or without Stamina mode activated as well.
ok. i don't know what is the problem with the wifi so try download different firmware from forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/general/list-stock-firmwares-d5803-d5833-t2906706 i flashed lollipop 5.1.1 NORDIC and it works fine. my previous firmware was lollipop 5.0.2 GLOBAL.

I've downloaded two firmwares from that list and tried to flash my phone with Flashtool without success.
I already had installed the drivers while disabling the Driver Check Enforcement as specified on your link, and tried with the method described in http://www.xperiablog.net/2015/03/17/guide-to-installing-xperia-lollipop-using-xperifirm-and-flashtool/ as well but I'm having the same error message.
Any idea on how what I could have missed to make Flashtool work?
Thanks for your help.
Make sure you have the latest version of Flashtool and place it on root path C:/ or external HDD E:/ G:/ and so on. Firmware must be placed in C:/users/<your username>/.firmware (not sure if it is correct)

Thanks to you, I was able to find my mistake: I was foolishly trying to create the bundle from the downloaded firmware, but I just needed to paste the downloaded firmware in the folder: C:\Users\<UserName>\.flashTool\firmwares
I was able to flash my device with the 5.0.2 Lollipop version and the WiFi is working fine so far.
Still don't know why I had problems with 5.1.1 in the first place but I can work with the previous version while waiting for 6.x.x.
Thanks again for your help.

I'm having WiFi issue on 5.1.1 too, on my Z3 compact. Sometimes (seeming randomly) after waking the phone, the wifi icon in the status bar has a ' ! ' next to it for a while and I don't get an internet connection untill the ' ! ' is gone. Usually takes around 5 to 15 seconds.
Today I received a notification from supersu pro that I needed an update. After it installed it requested a restart. After restart, there was no connection to cell service nor could I turn the radio on in network settings nor were there any settings registered. I was however able to connect using WiFi from my home computer. I was running stock rom with twrp-recovery and OS h81120o for t-mobile. I tried restoring backups by twrp with no radio/network function. I installed
twrp-3.0.2-0-h811.img
android_device_lge_h811-android-5.1.zip
G4-H811-MM-20i-Stock-Debloated-Rooted.zip
G4-H811-MM-20o-Stock-Debloated-Rooted.zip
G4-H811-MM-20o-Stock-Rooted in this order with nothing different working in network connection and radio off. I finally installed LG-H81120i-Flashable.COMPLETE.zip and it said installed successful yet when restarted the phone bricked. No power on, nothing. I received than same notice for my rooted Samsung galaxy tab 4 8.1 and declined it and am still running fine there. Any thoughts?
Hey,
I was in the exact same boat and almost gave up!
Got my LG back from repair and I rooted it then made a back up, everything was working fine. Flashed a new ROM and updated SuperSU, was not able to get a signal or mobile connection after that. IMEI Number was now NULL. I tried factory reset but still nothing can get the network signal back. Even restoring back to my back up did not work.
I read that if you flashed the LG-H81120i-Flashable.COMPLETE.zip you will brick so I avoided that. I finally found the solution and maybe this will work for you.
Download LG UP and your kdz file (H81120o_00_0613.kdz was mine) on your pc.
Set phone into Download mode by pressing volume up and connect to PC.
Open LG UP and load the KDZ path file and run. Phone should reboot and come back. My signal came back after this.
I hope this method works for you.
Best of luck!
Hi - my wife's NMO-L31 updated a few days ago and since then the wifi performance has been ssllooww. When I inspect the connection properties, it tells me that the connection speed (between phone and router) is 6mbps. Ouch! All of the other devices on the network operate normally; also, the problem persists on other wi-fi networks. I've tried clearing the phone cache (restart phone in bootloader & wipe cache); I've deleted and re-added the wi-fi connection on the phone; I've tried modifying the channel settings on the router, etc..
Any advice? Is there a way to revert the ROM to the previous, functional version? The phone is a total dog when limited to 6mbps max. - we're on a gigabit connection
if i remember correctly honor cant read 3ghz wifi signal.... check if your router settings are on 2.4ghz. if theyre not set them to 2.4.

Thanks but I'm way ahead of you. The router is set to 2.4 GHz and the phone can connect to the wifi signal; however it is limited to 1-13Mbps. usually in the 1-3Mbps range, with lots of delay due to constant rate renegotiation with the router. Actual usability is near-zero. Other devices on the same router see consistent 130Mbps.
On the router I've tried: rebooting, changing channels, changing frequency, disabling security altogether, restricting to 2.4n only. Have also tried two other, different routers.
On the device I've tried: deleting / readding the wifi connection, disabling scanning, enabling location, resetting network settings in EMUI, clearing the cache from bootloader
Everything was working fine until the recent EMUI 5.0 upgrade.

Thanks for this advice. I have searched far and wide for a compatible ROM. I found this list and attempted NMO-L31C432B120 and NMO-L31C432B130 but both times my phone told me that the updater I was trying to use was not compatible with my current version which is NMO-L31C432B350. I assume that this means that these cannot be used to downgrade / revert? Or maybe I am just using the wrong updater, or doing the update wrong? I cannot find a NMO-L31C432B100 anywhere.
Thanks for your help.

did you extract update.app from file? you need only update.app
Yep. I extracted update.app and put in dload folder; the phone finds the update.app and validates it, then fails on install with the message to the effect "the updater you are trying to use is not compatible with your current version" which I assume means I'm trying to install a 4.x update/patch over 5.0.
Thanks so much for helping me out here.

Actually I found a recovery tool for NMO-L31 C636 model here:
http://consumer.huawei.com/np/support/products/downloads/detail/gr5-mini-np.htm?id=94461
I used this, then applied the NMO-L31C432B120 version from here:

My phone's wifi is now working normally again.
Dude you totally saved my bacon. Thanks so much for your help.
To anyone following this thread, the NMO-L31C432B350 update borks the wifi, phone is limited to max 13Mbps but actual usability far worse than that - wifi is rendered basically useless by the update. I rolled phone back to EMUI 4.x / NMO-L31C432B120 (& NMO-L31C432B130) and this resolved the problem. To doublecheck, I allowed the phone to re-update to EMUI 5.0 / NMO-L31C432B350 and this again borked wifi. If anyone from Huawei monitors these threads or search terms please look into this issue with the European GT3 !!!

Moto G5S Plus Unknown Baseband, IMEI No Lost & Sim Card Disabled Fix 100% | Motoroal
Hello friends, Today I will tell you how to fix No baseband, IMEI no lost and sim card not detected on Moto G5S Plus or Any Motorola Phones. Normally this issue comes when you flashed Stock ROM on your phone or Flashed different stock ROM on your phone. After flashing your Baseband Unknown, IMEI No lost and also sim detected support not work.
So I have solution to this issue. Simple and Working Because I'm already facing this issue before on my Moto G5S Plus XT 1804 Variants. I search for a solution for this on the internet. But Nothing found anything work. But the solution is very simple. Guys, I have also EFS backup on my computer but after restore nothing happens.
So coming to our main point. How to slove no baseband, IMEI no lost and sim disable on moto g5s plus?
Follow step by step
1. The first thing you should know about it is your phone model no or variants no. In my case, I have MOTO G5S Plus XT 1804
2. Then go this Moto stock ROM website: motostockrom(.)com (remove bracket)
3. Search your model or variants no here and then simply open the post
4. Download your official stock ROM for your model or variants.
5. Then go to your computer and Install Minimal ADB And Fastboot Software & Motorola USB Driver
(While installing Minimal ADB and fastboot setup make sure create a shortcut on your desktop)
6. After that extract your Stock ROM Zip file in your Minimal ADB Fastboot folder in drive c/program filex86/minimal ADB & Fastboot folder
7. Then you have to connect your phone via USB cable to your computer or laptop after going to fastboot mode.
(For boot into fastboot mode you need to switch off your phone and press volume down+power button simultaneously)
8. If your phone connected with your system you can move to the next step.
9. check your fsatboot screen device connected or not Alway use original USB cable or Any high-quality USB cable.
10. After that click on Minimal ADB and fastboot shortcut on the desktop.
11. First, you need to check your phone is properly connected with your computer or not
12. Type- Fastboot devices
13. After that, you see some random number on your minimal adb software. its means your phone is connected
14. Not connected try again
15. Then go on your ADB and fastboot install directory drive c/program filex86/minimal ADB & Fastboot folder
16. Then find Flashfile.bat file and click on it.
17. After clicking the automatic flashing process start.
18. wait for the installation finished
19. When the process finished your phone automatically reboot and stock ROM flashed on your phone.
20. I know problem still not fixed...
21. Now connect your phone with wifi
22. Finished your setup
23. Now wait for OTA Updates | Security patch updates
24. If OTA Updates notification comes then you have to click on updates and simply download and install on your phone.
25. After reboot, I know the problem still not fixed
26. Again wait for OTA update notification and click on it and download and install it.
(If no notification goes to setting and clicks on system updates.)
27. Just install all OTA Security updates on your phone.
28. Follow this process whenever your problem not fixed.
29. when you install a 3,4 OTA security update on your phone and after reboot, your problem is finally fixed.
30. Basically this problem simply fixed by OTA updates. So u have to install all security patch update on your phone.
You can also watch my youtube video on my youtube channel (Tech Inside) or search on youtube "Moto G5S Plus Baseband Unknown Solution" My Video top on the search list.
Please give me feedback if these tips work for you. Thanks for reading
Amigo, me ha salvado la vida con esto, muchas gracias

In my case, My Moto's Radio Power went off but IMEI was not lost so I was not getting Mobile Tower Signal.
So to undo this problem, I flashed Havoc, then Derpfest, then POSP but it didn't work. So at last, I flashed Pixel Experience Rom and everything became good. Mobile Signal came again and everything was back to normal.
Someone else having this problem may do this trick. Hope they also get out of this terrifying problem.

.. Thanks a lot.. This worked for me.... I was trying to fix my Moto G5S Plus past 2 months and unable to get fix it...
Installed most custom roms Lineage, Havoc, Pixel experience and nothing worked.. Even installed official firmware from most websites but nothing worked... your suggestion helped... i got 5 updates and only after 5th OTA update my device is fixed.
Doesn't work man. Tried everything. The baseband is gone. The blankflash file killed it.

How long did you wait to get the OTA update? I installed stock ROM with April security patch and it is been more than 12 hours now and no update yet!
I'm just having a lot of problems withmy xperia xZ3 (H9394). In Monday, I updated google services and after that, the phone didn't connect to wifi or mobile data. I make a factory reset but it didn't work. I assumed the problem came from that update and everything will be fixed if I downgraded firmware. I tried first with sony emma flashtool, but I needed the bootload of my device to be unlocked. I unlocked it (yes, I screwed it) but emma said "no available services matched", so I tried it with newflasher and downgraded firmware, but it stayed in bootloop. So, I return to original firmware (52.1.A.3.92-R4C). It boot normally, but I have the same issues with wifi and mobile data, sometimes it works, but connects and disconnects constantly.
Someone can say me what can I do? I know that I can't relock bootloader.
@MartinX3 I know that you are a master, colud you help me?
Thanks! <3
I would look if that problem is the same on a custom ROM. (But flash on both slots and boot the latest stock first until you reach the desktop)
Or if it only happens with a specific WiFi, maybe the router need updates or a fix.

Hello. I flashed again with 52.1.A.3.92-R4C custom Taiwan downloaded from xperifirm and it work for a time. First, I didn't have any issue with wifi and had 4G signal, but after hours, the problems came again and lost mobile and wifi signals. At that moment, I couldn't even activate wifi, when I turned it on it turned off immediately. For some reason, I activated airplane mode and turn on wifi and it worked, but when I turn off airplane mode, lost wifi signal. It's very strange. I think it's some problem with mobile data or something.
I will flash A/B slots. For that, I need the GSI and ASOP (Android 10.0 – Kernel 4.14 – Tama) img and I must do it with platform-tool, right? I don't need a firmware in tft?
Thanks.

For the custom ROMs you need to have the latest firmware on both slots and booted once until you reach your apps.
Then just follow the instructions of the XDA threads and don't forget a fullwipe.

Hello again. I downloaded Android 10 GSI from https://developer.android.com/topic/generic-system-image/releases and AOSP 10 for XZ3 from https://developer.sony.com/file/download/software-binaries-for-aosp-android-10-0-kernel-4-14-tama/. I used the latest platform tools. I flashed oem_a, oem_b, system_a and system_b. After that, I did a wipe with fastboot -w command and finally reboot my device.
I checked that everything worked fine. Wifi and both sims worked fine.
After that I flashed the firmware H9493_Customized TW_52.1.A.3.92-R4C with newflasher and wiped it again. Did I do everything correctly?
Thanks.
If anyone wonders, no. It didn't work. I tried with custom roms and it was the same
I tried everything. I tried installing LineageOs, pixelsperience, Sony AOSP 10, 11, gsi 10, 11, and stock roms and nothing. Sims are detected some time, but stop after a while. i put an sd card instead of a sim card and it was not detected. I assume it is a hardware problem.
Well, thanks for helping
I'm having this exact same problem on my XZ3, thought I was going crazy but makes me think it's maybe not hardware related to find someone else with the problem...
