P10 Camera Light Painting mode reversed images - Huawei P10 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I want to know if anybody have same problem while taking photos with light painting mode?
The image become reversed, right become left and left become right
While other 3 modes are normal (not reversed)
There aren't options to change image orientation or something
Anyond having some problem?
Thanks

Anyone?

That is normal. When you write with light from left to right, the writing will appear mirrored. So to compensate, huawei camera software will flip the image to get the writing in right orientation.

Display of text has banding?

Has anyone ever noticed that when holding the screen in portrait mode, while viewing small black letters on a full white background, there is some gray banding behind the text? This is not the case when I make a screenshot with shootMe, and view it on my pc.
I will upload a file as soon as I can, to show what I mean. I don't know yet if this is a hw or sw error. I am using cyanogenmod 5.0.5.3 btw. Do not know whether or not it occurs on the stock ROM.
See hurricane-disco.nl/text.jpg for an image that does not show correctly.
See hurricane-disco.nl/textphoto.jpg for a photo of the actual image on my N1. Depending on the rest of the screen, there is more or less 'noise' in a row of pixels. When I turn the phone 90 degrees, I don't have this issue, but might come up with an image which does have the problem and will post it here then.

Adjusting Brightness in camera app

Hi,
I find that the camera really underperforms when inside under artificial lighting - shots seem underexposed. Does anybody know a way of quickly and easily adjusting the brightness of a photo before taking it. For example on an iphone you can touch to focus and then slide the bar to the right of the focus area to adjust brightness.
When touching to focus on the p9 a small "sun" image appears next to the focus point but this disappears almost instantly - i'm not sure if this is meant to stick around for longer so that you can adjust the brightness?
I know that you can hold to focus and then manually adjust the metering point, however this isn't ideal when trying to take a quick photo.
Thanks
You can use the little "sun" icon to adjust exposure on the fly. I've heard somewhere that in certain firmware versions the icon disappears very quickly (just like the little "iris" icon in wide-aperture mode). Maybe pretending that it were there and sliding up and down right next to the focus ring (where the "sun" icon shows up) still works even though the icon already disappeared from your screen. Apart from that, there's an exposure slider in the "Pro" mode, but that's not as convenient as the little "sun" icon.

Camera orientation

If I take a picture in landscape mode,in front of me, when viewed, it shows correctly when holding phone in landscape. But when I take a picture of something on the floor still holding phone in landscape, I can only view it full length in portrait. I need to rotate it to view as intended.
Have I got some settings wrong? Anyone with an idea as to why this happening please?
Regards,

Blurry pictures

Not sure why but pictures taken in portrait orientation (note: not portrait mode) have blurry tops and bottom, as if tilt shift is in effect. Pictures taken in landscape orientation do not have this issue though. Normally this will not have any significant effect on taking pictures as blurred out edges do not compromise the ability to see the central image but when taking pictures of homework for example, the top and bottom parts of the passage is blurry. Can anyone help with this?
Hey Did you ever figure out what was going on? Did you fix it? We seem to have the same issue here. Thanks!

EMUI 10 - Camera app - can no longer zoom by sliding over any side of viewfinder

Hi Guys,
in EMUI 9 it was possible to change zoom level by dragging/sliding your finger over any side of the camera screen -- i.e. not limited to the side which is showing the actual zoom control.
After flashing to EMUI 10, I can only zoom by dragging/sliding over the actual zoom control.
This is terrible because in the landscape mode, the zoom control is always displayed horizontally - and thus not reachable by with the same hand which is holding the phone (single-handed camera operation).
For me this basically kills the usability of this phone (and the upcoming P40) to the point when I'm not using it anymore as my primary. (There's always something else in my other hand, e.g. dog leashes.)
On S10+ the Camera is perfectly usable in landscape in single-handed mode (right hand).
Anyone else experiencing this? Any remedies?

You can still pinch to zoom anywhere on the view finder with EMUI 10

Not sure if you have even read my post.
Try to pinch with the same hand that is holding the phone.

Please quit spamming thanks.
Even Oppo knows how to do it, they placed the zoom bar vertically in the landscape mode. So that it's reachable with SINGLE HAND.
