I just got one of these cards. Will it be ok to use it for custom roms or should I get another type ?
What is the easiest and best way to partition it correctly ?
Will some of the new Rom's do this for you after you root and wipe ?

I've tried my sim card in my friend's phone, it worked. This problem is happening me again. I've fixed it once, but now i cant and ill be trying to downgrade to 2.3.6 -> 4.0.4 -> 4.3.1. Will this help?
IMEI is okay?
Maybe try flashing upon to 4.3.1 without any sim and after being on the version you want then inserting the SIM ...

Yeahh, i flashed 2.3.6 and it detect my sim card -_-
Yep, it sounds like you lost your IMEI by flashing directly to 4.3.1.
Do as you said: 2.3.6, 4.0.4, 4.3.1 (you don't need to flash anything I think going from ICS to JB) and that should resolve your problem

Good luck and let us know if your sim will be detect when flashing new to 4.3.1 :good::good:
Very strange guys, i flashed cm 10.2 M1 and it detected my sim, then i flashed slim and dirty unicorns and it doesnt detect my sim. I think its something very random thing, or i every time i want my sim to work i have to downgrade 2.3.6 -> 4.0.4 -> 4.3.1
Update: Now im on latest cm and.. my sim works, dont know what happened.

CyanogenMod works reliable with the i9000. IMHO many of other custom roms based on Android 4+ don't describe exactly enough in their OP which ROM should be upgraded from to have bug-free working device.
It is obviously the ultimate key to have them working well. Backup your EFS folder now to avoid future problems with dissapeared IMEI No.

Yes, yes its working without problem till now. I think the first time installing a rom you have to remove the sim card and after setting up the rom you have to turn off and put the sim card or downgrading to 2.3.6 -> 4.0.4 -> 4.3.1.
i am having same problem, but its with my other phone Huawei U8860 Honor,,,,, i did not find any posts about u8860 here in xda.

Not neccesarily. As long as you go GB -> ICS -> JB, and let ICS boot at least once in between, you should be fine.

Hey guys,
is it possible to remove the "Swipe up or down to unlock." hint on the lockscreen? I thought it will disappear after 3 unlocks..
Thanks for your help
This can be only be done if you are rooted. In the system should be the icon with that hint which can be deleted so it will not appear on the bar. But even if you are rooted you have to mod the lockscreen and find the right way to do it and it's not that easy but can be done.
It's pretty easy with root.. But i don't want to root my phone at the moment because of the warranty..

You answered on your question so you should know the root is needed too.

If you root your phone you will not lose your warrany. You will lose your warranty if you will Unlock Bootloader only.
UB is needed if you want flash custom roms with custom kernels. You can root your phone with Locked Bootloader.

I didn't answer my question. On my Xperia U it disappears after 3 unlocks so i thought that could be done somehow..

I know that but i didn't know that you can root the Z1 with LB. I only saw threads about rooting by flashing a rooted kernel and reflash the stock kernel.

I've find a Xposed module "GEM Xperia Xposed". With this module I'm able to disable the hint for unlocking and also disable the Arrows. Now I have a clean lockscreen.
What I only miss: to show the wallpaper from the launcher. I've a live wallpaper and the old lockscreen from ICS did show it. I've also try to remove the XperiaLockScreen.apk. But it shows only the default AOSP lockscreen, but not the live wallpaper.
