Its not my new device, mate.
I just started to help Peter to have Lineage on A7.
It's true that I dont work anymore on J3, but we have @borksek @PixelBoot you, everyone, I was teached you to build ROMs, you can do it.
Maybe Djeman left us, but one time he said:

This ROM is working fine but overheating the phone. Not sure if I'm the only one facing this issue.
Never had heating issues with LineageOS 13.
PS: Thank you very much for your effort to make custom ROM for Redmi 4a.

Is USB tethering work fine ? In AEX rom it didnt work

It seems that there is a bug in apps that use compass, it always marks the opposite direction to the one you really point to.
By the way, this rom is truly amazing, congratulations and thank you for your hard work!

At the very least we just have to endure an eternal wait for the kernel sources
Redmi 3 (ido) never leaves Lollipop for their official MIUI releases and yet with [official] kernel source already available it's getting mad support for loads of Nougat (Oreo already even) ROMs.
Both kernel source release and a Nougat base upgrade is less likely, but Nougat base upgrade is even less likely than an actual, official kernel source release. It's just a Xiaomi's thing to take an eternity to release the source, I heard it takes a minimum of one year since the device launch to release. Nice one Xiaomi.
PS: MIUI ROMs rarely gets an Android base upgrade. If it does though, nothing much has changed as long as it's still a MIUI (e.g. MIUI9 with Lollipop, Marshmallow, and Nougat basically have the same MIUI features).

Sorry if I post a question already asked many times: which is the right way to update an already installed Lineage 14.1, without losing apps and settings? Is it enough to copy the new rom into SD card and use TWRP to install it, without wiping/deleting nothing?
Gapps must be reinstalled or this step can be skipped?

To flash LineageOS without data loss:
-Uncheck "Zip signature verification". Because presently the LineageOS do not come with a MD5 file.
-Swipe to confirm Flash
-Wait. LOS needs 1 to 5 minutes. Depending on your device.
(Ignore the two red error messages "E:unknown command [log]")
-When done tap the "Reboot System" button
The reboot will be very slow. LOS needs time to complete the update. The LOS animated logo will be display during the progress. Be patient.
(No need to reinstall GApps)

Hi guys , I've noticed that when i run an 60 fps video on youtube or an app that uses the gpu when i pull down the quick settings it has a small lag . Is the mali 400 gpu not handling it? This happens on Stock Rom too

For FM Radio we need to use SPRD RIL, so its not possible.
For IMS Service bug, I have fixed it:OctOS Device Tree
So from now use my device tree for ROM building because Djeman's outdated.

Guys if your reporting bugs, please be sure to attach a relevant logcat wherever required.
Simply saying 'xyz feature works slow/doesn't work' won't help the developer. Instead it will just clutter the thread.

Since loading of cores works properly as stated by a helium user earlier, there's no other problem that helium users face while flashing hydrogen roms , so it's really a waste of time to build 2 roms which are exactly the same in all aspect, so I can release a build that can be flashed on both hydrogen and helium. But there won't be any seperate zip

You need to unpack this ROM, find updater-script, make modification (replace 2 hydrogen text to helium) and last you need relpace this new updater-script in the ROM.

twrp 3.3.1.0 installation completes and then gives ERROR 7 Is there a solution to the problem?

What do you mean by hotspot partially working? Do you mean it is like your other builds where it can be enabled but doesn't do anything other than causing reboots?

No, this wont work.

Not a user of your rom yet but i'm following up its infancy with great interest and appreciation for the sheer work you're putting in there !

1) camera sometimes is crashing and i can't take photo. I need to restart phone to get this working.
2) i can't grant acceess to notifications for MiFit app. It shows 'This function is not available on this device'.
i am using lastest build 14/02/2020
The rest works perfectly and smooth. Best ROM i ever used. Great work!
