Change data usage cycle - Huawei P10 Questions & Answers

Hi there!
I have been looking the settings and it seems that I cannot change starting date of the data usage cycle... It's always the first day of the month by default. Is there a way to change that?
Thanks.

I'm looking for this since the P10 is released...
It seems there's no solution for this even with root.

Oh crap :/ And by any chance, do you know how to reset my data usage settings? There is no sense to put anything now... It forces me to put a number.

Clear data of Phone Manager app, that will set it to default

I'm looking for a way to set data usage cycle for p10 phone ?!

I think is only a one way to 9mptove it - third-party appfrom gp.

if its not in settings , then it should be in message app settings. if its not in both places then change the lockscreen settings to not unlock that easily

Now that it is summer it will get a bit hotter, but don't worry. First do not leave your phone directly on the sun, check even in your pocket, it tends to get hotter there.
As of software-wise, if I remember correctly, the stock 5.0 lollipop firmware was the best in terms of heat. Also see if you can UNDERclock the Cpu, yes it will work slower but will operate at lower temperatures. Also check running apps, I can recommend uninstalling Facebook app and the Messenger also.

Light speaker distortion

Hi all,
I have the P9 since a few days. I've noticed a quite light distortion (a little 'crank') but only with a particular sound, that one that sounds when you click on the microphone button to enable voice recognition, for example on google now or play store. When I press that microphone button, sometimes it starts with a very very short and light 'crank' (I don't know how to call it). It doesn't happen always, only sometimes.
Has anyone noticed?
Regards
Can anybody try please?
Thanks!

Something similar to this?
I'm pretty sure that's because the speakers and/or amplifier only turn on when used, thus sometimes making that "crackling" noise as if you plugged in headphones
Yes, that's the sound. I understand what you say, but I've only experienced it with this phone

I don't think we can do much about it, either. Seems like a hardware thing. Doesn't really bother me much though, but I understand if it's annoying to you.
Thanks for the response. I only would like to know if it is a particular problem with my phone or a general one.

Notification Bar does not automaticaly switch to previous app if pressed

Don't know how this has stopped working.
If you keep the square icon pressed on the notification bar it should switch automatically to the previous app you were using. this is good for multi-tasking and you can quickly switch.
Problem - if I keep it pressed, nothing happens. If I press it briefly I get the normal recent app list.
Very annoying and I cannot figure out what I have changed to stop this amazing feature.
Please help.
I did never realized about that feature. In fact, it was one of the first thing I tried because my previous smartphone had that feature, but it did never work with my P9. I bought it last week, and that feature was never available, at least in my case of course

on the p8 it was definitely possible - check out the youtube tips and tricks. why would they remove the feature?
I dread updating my phone for reasons like this. (

Yes, it was really useful in my previous phone. Anyway, for me is not such a big problem. If you press that button to access the last tabs, the first one that appear in front of you is the last one used. So, with a couple of fast taps, you're in your previous app, no sweep needed.

If you have root, gesture control let's you set a gesture to switch to last app (like alt+tab on Windows)

That's so annoying. Not even 3rd party apps work. Aren't there any solutions that work?
You have to be rooted

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion. Looks like it could be a good alternative, but:
- Can't disable calendar/widgets etc. Just want the clock/notifications
- Does not have options for edge screen lighting or notification reminders
Thank you!

Thank you for using the app.
I am soon going to put that option calender/widget/weather user can select by their choice. and I am working already on edge screen lighting, Stay tuned.
I've been using the following app and it works for what you need
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tomer.alwayson&hl=en_GB
The lastest alpha/beta from apkmirror shows all the apps notifications.
It works great, there is no bug, and animations are more polished.
