[ROM]project OreoTest Z00ED - ZenFone 2 Android Development

Hello
these is a link to a very beta test for android oreo rom
Please test and post a replay
Note : i am not the developer of these rom
This is a very paused firmware, not for everyday use
Bugs:
The SIM does not work
The camera does not work
System brakes
Red frames that are disabled in the developer settings
They, by the way, also do not work
All these bugs are related to what Lineage Is does rebase its source, and for msm8916 there are almost no patches

I've already test, it's buggy, i hope in a future update

Any chance for z00a~?

CyanogenMod 14.0/14.1 for Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon version
Hi all,
This is a initial WIP cyanogenmod 14.1 build based on nougat. Since cm is very much in alpha stage there are bound to be lot of cm related bugs and device related bugs as well. Flash only if you want to.
What works ?
Wifi
Bluetooth
Audio
Camera
RIL
GPS
Fingerprint
Other basic things
What doesn't ?
CM related features or anything that's out of my scope and in CM scope
Goodix fingerprint should not be working ( not tested yet )
Stuff that i might have not noticed
Changelogs :
16/11/2016:
Sync with latest CM source (android_7.1.0_r7 and latest CM stuff)
Note : Cm has added Reliance jio apn by default now to their apn list and there seems to be a small bug related to this. So check your apn properly if data connection isn't working in Jio ( I had to modify APN type to default, supl on my personal usage)
Older Changelogs :
Note : I would recommend a clean flash of 05/11/2016 build as CM has database upgradation issue due to which you might face sim detection issue if dirty flashed
05/11/2016:
Sync with latest CM source.
Night display (accessed via quick tiles) is a addition from my end and is not a default CM feature
30/10/2016:
Initial CM14.1 release (please be noted that cm14.1 features might malfunction / totally nonworking )
Sync with latest CM
( VoLTE continues to work on a dirty flash if you were on my previous build) [ I just wiped cache and dalvik ]
17/10/2016 :
Sync with latest CM (some CM features work now)
Video recording should work fine now ( I recorded a couple of videos and captured few images. All look fine )
Initial blob level ( library support in ROM ) support for new camera sensors ( Kernel might still lack one or two new sensors )
Flac support
Improved device level performance
Other minor improvements
05/10/2016:
Sync with latest CM ( not much feature side, button backlight works nowthough)
VoLTE should now work out of the box. You don't need to flash tonnes of firmware zips ( Make sure you are clean flashing )
Camera fixes (Photo capture will work perfectly fine and won't crash anymore. Video recording is not still fully functional/functional totally)
Slightly improved performance and battery stability
Other misc changes
21/09/2016:
Sync with latest CM
Fixed the lags (device is smooth and normal now)
CM side issues such as external sd permission fixed ( fixed from cm side)
18/09/2016:
VoLTE support
Initial goodix support ( not tested yet and might be broken most likely. If u are going to test goodix flash my latest cm13 build and then come over to this rom )
Battery % bug fix ( -2%,50% thingy) [ I couldn't test because i have a older hardware]
Sync with latest CM
Minor improvements
13/09/2016 :
Sync with latest CM
Camera (photo capture) for other sensors
Night mode ( Access it from systemui tuner)
Should fix some performance issues ( make sure to switch to interactive after first boot)
other minor device level cleanups

[ROM][7.1.2][OpenKirin's LineageOS 14.1 - Huawei P8Lite ][Update 31/12/2017]

So, since the other thread is pretty clogged up, I have decided to create a new one (even tough I know this is going to get even more clogged up...)
So the day has come, since the closed beta I have fixed some bugs and I have (finally) setup the downloads server, it's the right time.
I am not really good writing this kind of posts, you know what you want, and I am too tired to talk about the risks of not being careful flashing, etc...

You should have already installed TWRP 3.1.1-0 !
Format data in TWRP and reboot device again into TWRP ( if you come from stock EMUI 4.1 )

Flash LOS 14.1 zip and reboot to System
Reboot device in TWRP and install Gapps ( optional )

If you have a Honor 4X and the rom isn't compatible (it shouldn't be compatible so don't worry) send me a PM (unless you are @panchovix because I already know that he is interested lol), because I need a little group of people to test the adapted 4X version, but that rom will be published in the correct subforum, so please let's keep it tidy.
Please think before you post, I wouldn't like to reach 50 pages within 2 weeks, so if you just want to post "OMG SO HYPED" do it in the other thread or don't do it at all.
P.S: The Github repo will be updated as fast as I can, I understand that some people want to port roms now that we have reached 'certain stability', but I am just one person and my time is limited.

@XePeleato OMG SO HYPED, ok nope haha, thanks man, finally it is here now on XDA, good luck on the rest (because just watching there are just little bugs, atleast for me), as always i say it to you, Good job! and Thanks for remembering us 4X users!
@MarcoPLs @Zizo17 @ericotena @keikari good luck here, we have someone that want to help us send him a PM, and if you know more people using the 4X (i know there are more, probably you that are you reading this :I), PM him (don't comment here, he doesn't want to inundate the thread)
And for you P8 lite users that can get the rom working already, you are lucky! enjoy the rom, for me it is stable for daily use in my case
it's the same rom from the other thread? but on a zip file?
what are the requirements to safely flash this trough twrp?
@Z3NG3R1 this is different one from htcmania, this one has a lot of less bugs, and yes on a zip file
i think you should know how to flash roms at this moment, make a backup and flash it, if something goes wrong restore lol (flashing custom roms has no requeriments, except for having OBV unlocked bootloader and twrp)
Oh wow! So, those are the only bugs? Everything else is up and running? Cool. I'll try this. I can't say thanks enough. @XePeleato the site isn't loading??
@panchovix yeah, I know how to backup and flash a ROM...but what I was saying is that in the toher post, the were saying that you needed a different twrp recovery bro...so that's why I asked...but I'll install it right away then! I'm so happy that this phone is getting custom roms!!!
@Z3NG3R1 oh i see, reading the update binary it seems you need that twrp itself recognizes your phone as hi6210sft (this depends on TWRP) and ALE-L21 (this depends of build.prop), so if you have both you are good
@panchovix well...I think I have both..my twrp version is 3.0.2.0 and my phone is ALE-21 converted to dual sim..do you think I'm good?
Not working Website :crying:
Not working website :crying:
WoW!! Great work thanks!
The Play store is working?
seems the link died or it is saturated, atleast i got the download before the site went down, weird
So, if you get the ear speaker working i will flash it on my Honor 4c, and try it for daily use

link error?
link no funciona?
Please report bugs to Xepeleato only with a logcat file. There are free Apps for logcats available in playstore. The Dev can only fix bugs if he knows what went wrong.

We will NOT be shipping root baked into the ROM.
Root will be a downloadable zip based install similar to gapps installation (only need to flash it once).
Home builders that want to bake su back into the ROM can use the command ‘export WITH_SU=true’ prior to building.
Link is not working
Is there ota updates yet?

[ROM][AOSP][9.0.0][NOT TREBLE][ALPHA] AOSP Pie for Huawei Mate 9 - EARLY ALPHA

WARNING: You'll most probably loose ALL your data, and might break your phone. Please use with extreme caution!
This is a fully custom ROM for the Huawei Mate 9, derived from the AOSP Pie device tree for the HiKey960 development board, with minimal usage of the existing Huawei vendor stack.
This ROM does include Gapps for Pie.
IMPORTANT: See the broken features below. Most importantly: Phone and cellular is currently entirely non-functional, as there is no RIL implemented. If I can get away with it, I'm not importing code from Huawei's existing vendor stack. The graphics stack is fully sourced from the HiKey960 development board sources, as provided by Google on the Driver Binaries page for AOSP; the only blobs which are sourced directly from the Mate 9 system images are the device firmware blobs from /vendor/firmware.
Working features:
Basic graphics hardware acceleration & 3d support.
Wifi
Bluetooth (partial: kernel wakelock permanently held, preventing deep sleep. Generally functional, you will need to bring over your MAC address and configure it yourself.)
Touchscreen
Notification LED
Screen brightness
USB
Fast charging
Vibration
Battery information
Broken or not hooked up yet:
Reboot / shutdown: always cycles to eRecovery. (BFM is disabled, so the loader doesn't know that boot was successful.
Audio via wired headset, earpiece, speaker. (Bluetooth audio works. Over USB-C, untested.)
Cellular. (No RIL yet.)
SD card.
Camera
Fingerprint sensor
NFC
Any and all sensors.
GPS
More that I have yet to list, I'm sure.
Installation Instructions
Make note of your bluetooth hardware address.
Factory reset your device, preferably using stock recovery. TWRP builds will not work once this ROM is installed.
Install the kernel, ramdisk, and system image with fastboot.
Boot the system
Once booted: adb shell setprop persist.service.bdroid.bdaddr <your bluetooth hardware address>
Notes
The image is pre-rooted (it is an AOSP "eng" build). ADB is on by default, running as root, with no authentication.
Even though it is pre-rooted, I still recommend installing Magisk for the time being. Use the ramdisk image provided here with "Patch Boot Image". Magisk 17.1 with Magisk Manager 5.9.1 work. (Installing Magisk also works around a few other issues - for example, Developer Options is completely inaccessible on the default install.)

Wooohoo .. is amazing .. more roms .. thanks .. dev ..?
You are amazing Man. I hope you will do it fully functional as soon as. Thanks bro.
Thank you much.
I tried this ROM. But too much bugs. I had to roll back to original EMUI ROM.
Hope you can fix the bugs in future.
Thank you very much for your efforts anyway.

I'm planning on it.
There's a lot of work to do - cellular, audio, basic sensors, camera - none of those things are even there yet.
What's there works, unfortunately as you can tell, that's not a lot yet.
Are you still working on the rom? Any progress? tried to build lineage?
I am still working on it.
Not even considering Lineage at this point - just trying to get a complete device tree constructed, of which there are a lot of pieces to construct (not the least of which because I'm basically building it up from scratch, instead of using Huawei's vendor image).
Development in Kirin is very difficult. So far only see aosp rom in Honor 8 pro based on 7.1. Which is very similar to Mate 9

No more OpenKirin builds for EMUI 8 devices?

I wait for sometime now (4 months) to see at least a beta stage rom for EMUI 8 - Based Builds from OpenKirin Project, the last build is the 5.2 alpha of the OMNI ROM.
Sadly, I see that all the attention is shifted to the EMUI 9 - Based Builds, no more updates for our beloved P9.
It will be a great deal to see Resurrection Remix OS 7.0.1 Beta 1 builded for EMUI 8 - Based Builds.
Could someone from the contributors, maybe @surdu_petru share some more info, is this project dead for EMUI 8, we will ever see some updates in the near future?
I know that is not indicated to ask for ETA, but it will be a great info so we know if we need to wait a little bit more time or move forward.
Thanks to all team members for the OpenKirin Project!

Yes this is true as they appear from almost a long time did not issue or update for emui 8 They may seem disappointed with us , According to openkirin Now they focus on emui 9 , Also at the same time they say there are releases or updates for emui 8 .
At least if they released their hi3650 patches we would be able to make our own GSIs...
Seems that we are one more time skipped...
OpenKirin Project released EMUI 9-based Build of OmniROM Beta 5 but no EMUI 8-based Build.
@OldDroid , @XePeleato , @surdu_petru , @irony_delerium can you please tell us if we will see any EMUI 8-based Builds or the project goes forward only with EMUI 9-based Build?
@Wattsensi Bro of which developer's lineage 16 are you using and do it require any patch to boot?
I see some launches on https://openkirin.net/download/ for the EMUI 9 devices AEX Beta 1 P1.
For the EMUI 8 devices nothing, no love at all?
I would love to see android 10 running on this device, it's the last in line Dual SIM Full Active, and this is what I love most on this device, also the smaller screen, I don't like the current sizes (way too big for my pockets).

I was using AndyYan LineageOS but install the one that appears here instead, it's much better despite having some issues with headphone jack sound not switching automatically. It has fully functional Camera, NFC, Bluetooth and mobile network. If you can use a manual sound switcher for now you can use it right now, just flash and go. One thing though, this ROM uses MicroG and Aurora Store instead of Gapps, if you don't mind about giving up gapps. Safetynet passing is not guaranteed. AOSP Camera works perfect.
I'm confident the issues above will be solved by the developer with enough time and people sending dmesg logs of their problems.

Nice! I'll still stay on the MicroG rom though, but it is indeed a better base than Omni even though it is less customizable.
LineageOS 16.0 Build 2 Released April 15, 2020 , with play store installer. replace huawei camera with "huawei-generic-google-camera" for huawei devices and working perfect!
[ROM][Treble][microG]LineageOS 16.0 for HUAWEI P9 is more optimized but microG not well for me and playstore it cannot be installed ( error )

[Discussion] Android 10 Development for the Moto G5S

Recently i asked about Android 10 in the pixel experience thread, i asked because of the website saying "This version Is no longer Supported". I wanted to know if this means no more updates at ALL or just no more updates for Pie.
after this. i started the quest of Android 10, (thats what i like to call it) first i tried with treble roms and found out: everything based on pixel is very buggy and never gets out of the "Finishing Update" lag period, Also everything which wasnt the android 10 beta 5 build advertised by jarlpenguin and phhusson.
gapps which are imbedded into the rom dont work at all on treble Android 10.
Because of that, the only rom with gapps working right now is lineage 17.1..... the problem with that though is that you have no data (no signal/no sim) message and thus cant receive or send anything.
so i started looking at other motorola devices with the same chipset as our device, and search for possibilities for this already working. well i patched a version of aosp 10 from cedric aka the moto G5 which also has a snapdragon 430 processor. the kernel was well...... missing. After flashing radium for non treble roms fixed the problem. we have very similar problems though. 1. We still hav eno REAL signal, yeah it shows up but stays at 0 2.Gapps Dont Work BUT Begone "Finishing Update Lag" , what i am trying to say is: we should probably base on those builds and try if that works with different tweaks and patches to get all features working.
Also i am going to experiment further with this, for example: i am going to experiment with Pixel Experience 10 in the same way i did with Aosp!
thanks for reading i guess
Android 10 development is being postponed in favor of SELinux enforcing on Pie. Plus cedric's Android 10 builds are not Treble enabled, whereas montana's ROMs are, so it won't boot.
Of course I could release a build of LineageOS 17.1, but that would have broken camera, battery drain, possibly memory leaks, and partially broken audio playback. That is why I haven't released it.
---------- Post added at 02:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:37 PM ----------
Furthermore, the reason we haven't been able to work on SELinux in P is because the non-treble policy was completely unfit for treble. When we attempted addressing SELinux denials, we hit neverallow build errors. As it turns out, our RIL blobs are too old for Treble compatibility, so we need to update them.
Oh. Okay! Thanks for the information. I guess this just means that at some point PE will get continued. Maybe I will try some modifications on my side to try and get it working.
Hmm
Guess it's set to enforcing. For security and rom compatibility reasons I did deactivate a lot of things first

Seems spoofed. We didn't have enforcing on any Pie builds.

The picture is by me.... A lot of things broke afterwards tho. So it isn't just a manipulated settings screen...
This is a picture on RR pie btw
And for context: this is NOT how the ROM comes on its own, I used an application called "The Selinux switch" to set it to enforcing

Right. That's what I thought. It's either spoofed or someone manually enabled it. Lots of things broken are expected.
