I've read that the LG G Watch R will not be getting Oreo Android 8. I guess that means that the Wear updates would be the most you can expect. That being said, I find that the latest wear version is working great on my watch. I'm waiting for the next wave of watches before considering a replacement.
Will our lg g watch r get the 2.9 update?

Hello,
There are rumours over the internet that Motorola might skip Android 5.1 update for Moto G 2014 and going for Android M/Android 6.0 update. Anybody have any idea about this? I have already started to wonder because Moto G 2013 received Android 5.1 update quite a while ago and all that Moto G 2014 got was Stagefright fix.

Moto g 2014 will get 6.0. We always have our devs :v
Yes please skip 5.1.1 and wait another half year for Motorola to release M for Moto G2, when the next Android version will be released by Google and skip Android M too. :good:
Google App Version 5.3
Please install the new google now launcher on play store, moto g 2nd gen.. vertical app icon nd search option is the new change
Devices with Android 4.4 and higher, reports say, are eligible to get the update. However, it was reported that only Android M preview 3 devices will experience the perks of the update.
A few months ago, the company announced that the Now on Tap feature would not be included in the Android M preview testers. The update though may imply that Google has changed its mind.
Meanwhile, the update also brings the vertical scrolling app drawer to the Google Now Launcher.

developers created 5.1.1 based roms while it wasn't rolled out by moto g, so will they get interest in developing marshmallow for our device?

Hell yeah. I don't care about the Moto update. We have a great community.
Well, finally we have the news. Motorola is going to provide Android Marshmallow update for Moto G 2014. Here is the link from Motorola official blog: http://motorola-blog.blogspot.in/2015/10/marshmallow-and-smore.html
The best part is, their software upgrade page now shows information about Android 6.x Marshmallow
Check it out here: https://motorola-mobility-en-in.custhelp.com/app/software-upgrade-news/g_id/2014
So most probably, we won't be getting any Android 5.1..1 update.

Well, Motorola has announced Android M/Android6.0 for Moto G 2014. It is on their official blog and you can check it here: http://motorola-blog.blogspot.in/2015/10/marshmallow-and-smore.html.
Also, their software upgrade page now shows information about Android 6.x Marshmallow
Check it out here: https://motorola-mobility-en-in.cust...news/g_id/2014
But what we need to keep in mind is that Motorola is very much slow when it comes to releasing updates. Nexus already got it, I am sure, like Android Lollipop, many of other devices would get it before Motorola releases.

Well, let's just look at the history:
Android 5.0: We got it after months after Google released it for Nexus.
Android 5.1: Nexus got it long time back, we didn't get that one.
Android 6.0: You say? maybe June 2016 or something

I hope we get the update.
When it becomes available...
I just ordered my LG watch sport and noticed that Google is releasing the Wear OS developer preview with Android P on only Huawei Sport 2.
I thought Google was a partner in the making of LG Watch 2. How then did they sideline them to go play ball with Huawei
Anyone knows why the LGWS is not receiving the developer preview early?
Sent from my polaris using Tapatalk
My guess is they LTE functionality. The Huawei watch 2 with LTE didn't get the preview either.

wear OS 1.5 on my LGWS
Water 2.0 has been on LG sport for a long time now.
Sure ?
My watch (W281) is still in 1.5 (Wear OS by Google version), and no new version seems to be available when I click on System/System updates.
By the way, you know where I could find firmware files for this watch (for use with ADB sideload) ?

Do not mismach between "Wear OS" and "Home App" (and "Android plateform")
Old name for Android Wear Version is now "Home App" : V2.15 (so Wear > 2.0)
"Wear OS" new name for old "Android Wear". Current version 1.5
Android Plateform : Current Oreo 8.x
Do we have any news on this? Does someone know if there is something coming ?
I just got my update
Sent from my Mi MIX 2S using Tapatalk
For p. I doubt it
The just recently "Update" took the "Wear OS" to 2.1,
but it remains on Android 8.0, August Security Patch.
Android 9 certainly for next watch generation, not for ended life watch
Huawei started Beta testing program for our P smart in China. That includes only the chinese models for now. What do you think guys? Will be the EMUI 9 released globally for P smart?
It has to receive Pie as P Smart is Android Enterprise Recommended device and Google mandates at least one major update for such devices

Android Enterprise Recommended makes it simple for businesses to confidently select, deploy and manage Android devices and services that meet elevated enterprise requirements validated by Google.

Yes, it doesn't matter if they have their skin over the Android they have to have one major update. Good thing is that P Smart came out with 8 so it has to be updated to 9.
When i had LG G6 people had the same concerns if it will receive 8, but then Google added G6 to that program and LG had to update it.

It works just as 8.0 and it's stable.
When Android Q will come for moto x4 indian version
Any custom rom or update for stock.
Sorry for bad english:silly:
Can't see it happening myself. It's a nearly 2-year-old phone, that's had 2 major updates over its life span. I can't see it getting another one.

Custom ROM soon
maybee....https://www.pocket-lint.com/phones/news/148423-when-is-android-10-q-update-coming-to-my-phone
Maybe a Q GSI.
First install Lineage 16 to enable treble compatibility then flash a Q GSI rom from the Treble forum. This [GSI][A/AB][arm64] Android Q Developer Preview says it's been tested on the x4. And let us know how it works! Might be awhile till there are Q roms with few bugs and decent stability.

Have you heard of someone planning a Q rom for the x4?
Android One program supposedly guarantees OS updates for 2 years and security updates for 3.
- Android One Moto X4 release date: 10/2017
- Android 10 OS release date: 9/2019
That's less than 2 years. If they are making it for one variant of Moto X4, I don't see why they wouldn't just release it for the rest of the variants. That being said, I am not fully confident the Android One Moto X4 will actually see it (also not sure if it would be that big of an improvement).
So I decided to start using my LG Urbane after a long time again. Whats the latest version available? Looking for the newest ROM and best kernel as well. Any suggestions appreciated! Thank you.
Look like I'm currently running:
Wear 2.35.0
Google Play Services 20.47.13
Android OS 7.1.1

Same here, I had seen occasionally that the watch was stuck on a firmware update screen 0% whilst charging so I decided to do a factory reset.
My wear version was 2.35.0 before and is now 2.0.0.153815175
Google play services 10.2.98
OS 7.1.1
Looking on Wikipedia it's even more confusing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wear_OS
That states the latest Wear OS version is 2.23 Android 9 Wear OS App version 2.41
Is the Urbane limited to Android 7?
EDIT: around half an hour later it now says 2.35.0
Android security patch level 1 July 2017?
Today I bought LG Urbane W150 almost not used for 45 euro and it shows, that it's up to date and same versions.
