I've sean that Samfail has managed to root the u1 version on different firmware. Has anyone seen anything to suggest root for our Oreo's?

I am wondering if I can downgrade my Samsung galaxy s5 active to "NE4" (The stock firmware which i can use towel root) from "0F3" (The newest firmware) does anyone know a guide or is it just not possible to downgrade/root once its at 0F3
I heard that the G900's cannot but the G870's can.
If the bootloader was updated to OF3, downgrading is almost certainly not possible. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s5/help/question-regarding-root-s5-active-t3185231 and http://androiding.how/how-to-keep-root-and-update-att-s5-active-to-of2-build/
The first link has instructions for finding out which firmware's bootloader is installed. The second link contains reports from people who attempted to downgrade from OF2 and OF3 bootloaders.
I suggest killing future OTA updates, in case a root exploit is found for your current firmware that doesn't exist in a future update.
I have had my Tab S2 operator unlocked, and would like to change the firmware to the official BTU version for my device. Before I proceed with this, can anyone advise me of the correct process for flashing the official firmware without tripping Knox? Will using ODIN trip Knox by default?
I already downloaded the firmware files for the BTU version, so any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.
Stock firmware doesn't trip knox.

Great. Thanks for letting me know.
I just managed to update to PA2 from OI5, and there is a root method available.
I have three questions:
Can I root my S5(AT&T) without tripping KNOX?
If I do root, can I update to the latest Marshmallow via Odin and keep root?
Can I "debrand" my S5 by flashing a stock S5 firmware via Odin (remove AT&T bloatware and bootlogo)? {http://www.naldotech.com/remove-carr...nded-firmware/ this link says you can but does not provide a download link}
Thanks.
Hm
I believe the root version existing does not trip knox as i'm still at 0x0.
No, but @AptLogic has been trying, never say never.
Once you get root, you can remove the AT&T logo by modifying some firmware files.
A quick search of the forums should give you the answers but here's a reference for the boot logo

I want to know if I can flash G935U rom on my att unlocked s7 edge by downloading from Sammobile.com
I found a ATT rom Under G935U firmware list can this be flashed with ODIN? Also does this requires the phone to be rooted?
thanks
Same question here.
Well, I found the solution. Haven't tried it yet.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-s7-edge/how-to/samsung-sm-935u-firmware-install-guide-t3411451
did it work?
Nope. Don't need root or any method. Just download from sammobile or updato and install with odin. You will be get error for first time but nope. Just try 3-4 times. You will get success.
