[i9300] [Andriod 5.0 L] [Pure CM12(Unofficial)]

A freshly cooked totally up-to-dated cm12 rom for our beloved Samsung galaxy S3(i9300).
(My first Lollipop build)
As its already infamous that Android L has bugs and making experience kind of, nasty :crying::crying: with more custom add-ons added like- can't name, sorry :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:. So here I present you unadulterated CM12 from Cynaogenmod source for our ever rocking badass i9300.
Instructions to install it:
1. Boot into recovery(cwm/twrp or whatever that you think gets birds away)
2. Wipe all data/cache .. bla. bla bla..
3.. INstall zip from sdcard, select the downloaded zip.
4. Voila!! you got CM12 in your curvy little i9300
If you like this ROM and you can find it good for daily use please hit that "Thanks" butt...on
Bug report:
None experienced.
Wifi, RIL, bluetooyh, camera(stock) all work fine.
If bugs then are of cyanogen.
Please try this ROM and let me know of bugs so I can do something to solve'em.

It is cm13, i know that we have an official rom, but i want to learn how to build an android rom. Now building failed but i don't know why.

Are you sure you use all the sources/dependencies that are needed? The right branch?
Can you post your local manifest please?

You can coppy full log of bug to pastebin.com?

the problem seems to be solved. I had forgotten to add the repo CyanogenMod / android_device_qcom_common.
I thought it was a problem of my files, I tried with the RR and no longer with the CM13. I will keep you informed.

How to root B371

Hello!
I have updated my p9 lite to B371 stock kernel. I have installed Revolution and it is working, but now I am not able to flash it with any SuperSu version. I have tried 2.77, 2.78, 2.79, 2.79SR3.
Can anyone help me?

You can't!
On Nougat at the moment you have two option:
1. Flash Revolution twrp and from Revolution twrp flash Revolution OS and you have root and other stuff...
2. Flash Revolution twrp an from there flash this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu.../cxxb360-root-dm-verity-off-boot-img-t3570240

Revolution OS works fine for me: root (hide/unhide root - very useful...), double tap to wake, and some others optimization and tweaks...

Last question, in order to install Revolution rom I have to flash B336 firmware. Am I right?

Nope. Flash on B371, B381, is ok.

Using TWRP and modded supersu of this topic, I have been able to have a rooted kernel. Even if with Titanium Backup is not working with restoring app.

works fine with [ROM][8.0.0][Kuntao][OFFICIAL][Cardinal-AOSP].

I can confirm... This doesn't work with S251 update. No matter you clean the cache and all, Just black screen.

Turn on Camera api2 if you have not activated it by adding a line in build.prop
Persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1
Install the app, open it, if any error occurs, reboot mobile, it should work now.

1 - download "Build.prop editor" from play store
2 - open downloaded app and grant Root access to the build prop editor
3 - click on add property [ + symbol]
4 - now add this line
property Name
Persist.camera.HAL3.enabled
value
1
5 - save it
6 - Reboot mobile
you will need a camera app that makes full use of camera api2
few apps support it such as Google camera, snap camera....

Clear app data and reboot, it should work now.

I thought the app needs the camera2 api enabled for it to work? And to enable it you need root access?

Yeah did you activate camera api2, maybe it could be the reason.

Hello! Im trying to get this APK to work on my Mate 20 lite, but it just shows a black image on the viewfinder and then just crashes. Tried a lot of settings but still does the same. Any tips on how you got to work??

i just installed like a normal apk
uninstall ,reboot the phone then install it again

Where did you find that apk? Is there a less dodgy source to download it from? Cheers.

With the recommended "Nexus 6" for this GCam version the viewfinder hangs after about 2 seconds. Had to restart the device afterwards to get the camera working again.

I've found the same issue with hanging and having to reboot for all GCam modified apk files. There doesn't seem to be a fully working GCam for the 20 Lite.

i'm also interested, but i think there is no hope with this app

Huawei use Kirin processors, that have a different way of handling the camera sensors and information, and there is no GCam that "just works" in those.
may appear some versions that work until some point, but probably just to basic tasks - no HDR+, special processing, etc...
This is the same to all Huawei smartphones, not just Mate 20 Lite.
