Since the stock player is crap I'm looking for an alternative. I don't mind paying.
Poweramp looks awesome and got a lot of 5 stars

VLC would be great. then i could do loads of hd streaming from my pc to my phone
everyone needs a dream
AOSP Music.apk
I like the "vanilla" Android music player (the one from the Android Open Source Project). It's simple and fast. Here's a market link: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.jrtstudio.music
Side note: make sure you're using a kernel with Voodoo Sound drivers included, your music will sound a lot better regardless of the music player app you use.
Honeycomb music player is not available for all regions.
i find its interface nice but it dont have 5.1 surround and equalizer
Two on test and like both .
Player Pro trial & MixZing basic both on the market .

PlayerPro is great... but I stick with Samsung's stock player - it's excellent... it's the only player that allows you to switch between Bluetooth and Phone outputs... (since those are device specific)
No player is able to handle the Album Artist tag properly...
hey guys.
Can anyone suggest a good music player with EQ which sud work good with stock Rom 5.0.2.
So far i ve tested few players like.
PowerAmp - Trial version but Awesome
EQ music player- average
Mp3 Player- average
NRG Player- average
Music Player- average.
& many more.......
but plz let me know which ever good music players...
to be honest .... poweramp is the only best music player unless you have viper4android
Try jetaudio.
Poweramp is absolutely great, in combination with viper4android simply the best.
You need to try Shutle+ by SimpleCity, it's really good. Another good one is Doubletwist.

Agree double twist is a good one, I like poweramp, I'll try that shuttle+ thanks
Phonograph is also a great option for a Music Player
It's pretty, organized, have a inbuilt equalizer, and after all, it's lightweight! xD
I really prefer rocket player, i use it now for 1 year
BEST MUSIC PLAYER EVER...n7 music player

n7 music player is ok to use but not upto the mark..
Will try Doubletwist n shuttle+ testing it n will let u all know...
Hi, and I have the following ..... I use the music streaming service JUKE, which works with Dolby Technology ..... which sounds very great. I would like to regulate with Viper4Android still a little clarity. but if I install Viper4Android with the sound drivers, the Dolby sound quality of juke no longer works. But I would like to run both in interaction
I had troubles before with my HTC 10 ,, and I just installed audio modification library. If using magisk ,, install viper first, don't restart, then audio modification library, and then reboot your device. Helped me
I mainly have been using Google Play Music cause of the cool Media Controller that is colored by the album and liked it but others have been using others such as PowerAMP or Samsung Music, etc and wanted to see what you all recommend for music playing and also Samsung Sound Effects such as Surround/Dolby Atmos, Concert Hall, Audio Preset, etc.
Current Config
Player: Google Play Music (cause Album colored Media Controller)
Sound Effects:
Surround/Dolby Atmos: Off
UHQ Upscaler: On (Bit and Bandwidth Upscale)
Concert Hall: On
Preset: Normal
Adapt Sound: Custom
Spotify.
Dolby atmos on.
Custom sound on. Depending where I play. I got profiles to use on my car ICE, wired headphones and BT headphones.
I find dolby atmos improve spotify by far.. Before it spotify sound quality sucks

I've been going back and forth between PowerAmp and N7.
So far trying PowerAmp and sounds the same until I switch to this preset.
EQ: Speakers (Loud)
Reverb: Off
Resampler: SoX 99.0%
Output: Hi-Res, Sample 384kHz from 48kHz
Buffer: Normal
DVC: ON
MusicFX: OFF
Any PowerAmp users want to share their profiles or suggest changes to mine?
I just use the stock Samsung Music Player that comes bundled with the Samsung OS. It is pretty good and plays whatever I want. Seeing as I keep all my music stored locally on my microSDcard.
