Relocking the bootloader

I've always used flashtool to relock the bootloader and it has gone without problems every.single.time... until now...
I want to relock the bootloader so I can use the DRM Restore Mod (I was one of the early adopters that unlocked the bootloader to flash recovery before we figure out that you lose the DRM keys :crying, but when I click the button, nothing happens, the log says that the bootloader WAS relocked but in fact it hasnt (I've tested it by trying to restore the phone with Sony official tool).
Has anyone else dealed with this kind of issue?

Does re-locking bootloader bring the phone back to 100% factory state?

I know that for some phones, e.g. some Sony phones, if you unlock the bootloader, it will permanently delete some stuff from the phone (DRM keys and whatnot) and you can't get it back even if you re-lock and flash a stock ROM. Is it similar for Xiaomi? Or can I re-lock the bootloader, flash the stock ROM and make the phone 100% functional and indistinguishable from one that was never unlocked?
Yes.
no problem

Backup of Xperia SP firmware to Linux machine

I am completely new in the world of custom ROMs but experienced in the Linux world. I want to replace the original Android firmware of my mobile phone with LineageOS. Now I am looking for a way to be able to return to Android in case I am not satisfied with LineageOS or anything goes wrong. My idea is to plug the phone to my desktop computer (using Linux) like any other external device and mount the phone's filesystem so I can make a backup of it with the dd command. This way I could simply use that backup to overwrite LineageOS with the original Android. I have not found a howto for this procedure on the web, so I guess, my approach is not possible.
I found a few howtos that recommend ADB for this task, but the phone has to be rooted to apply ADB, so making a backup of my rooted phone would not let me return to the unrooted state, in which case the phone's warranty would be lost.
My question is: Is there an alternative way to completely backup my phone without rooting it? And if not, what would be the most simple but safe solution without depending on Windows-only software? Any advice pointing me to a solution is appreciated. Thank you.
Do you still have warranty on Xperia SP?!
1- You can Root and Unroot your phone again anytime.
2- You can Unlock and Relock your bootloader anytime.
3- The most important and the only thing you need to backup is the TA partition that has all DRM keys of your phone.
4- You have to Unlock your bootloader if you want to install Lineage OS ROM.
5- You have to backup DRM keys before unlocking your bootloader.
6- Here you are step bay step what you need to do before flashing Lineage OS ROM:
a- Root your phone using twolroot app from here
b- Backup DRM keys ( follow this guide for Linux ).
c- Download Flashtool version (0.9.18.6) for Linux from here.
d- Finally follow this old video tut to unlock your bootloader official way.
P.S: Read carefully the instructions in these links before doing anything, I am not responsible if you brick your devices.
Yes, I just bought a brand new SP with a valid warranty.
So, the only partition that is modified by the custom ROM is the TA partition?
I just noticed that my device does not allow me to unlock the bootloader. I have to find a way to achieve
Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes
Edit: Trying to boot into fastboot mode (holding volume up; connecting device to PC by USB) does not turn the LED to blue but to green, and in my PC's file manager the device does show up, but cannot be mounted
My phone is not SIM locked, so no network carrier, no contract involved. Bought it from a hardware online shop.

No, not only the TA partition but you can restore everything by re-flashing the stock rom except the DRM keys must be restored from backup.

if you have "Bootloader unlock allowed: No" then I don't think you'll be able to flash LOs Rom.. And I don't know if there's any way to make it "yes".. Sorry [emoji120]
But there's some old ROMs for locked bootloader devices here on xda just search for it if you want kitkat or lollipop or even stock based ROM.

So, these ROMs can be flashed without fastboot? How is that possible?

[HELP] Oreo brick After UPDATE.

Brick Huawei after update oreo
Situation:
Phone LOCKED(Green)
FRP LOCKED(green)
Stock RECOVERY
after boot go ERECOVERY.
How To restore ?
With locked bootloader you have no chance to restore without official Huawei Services via Download in eRecovery or payed services like DC Pheonix tool or FunkyHuawei.
Try the official eRecovery method first. If this doesn't work try it with HiSuite. Your bootloader is locked, that means that it should be possible, because the phone didn't detect any modified files. With modified files or partitions the bootloader won't lock normally.
If you have the code to unlock the bootloader you can search for HWOTA. Its a tool that you can use rebrand the phone. You find loads of guides on here to find out how to get the unlock bootloader code. If you find yourself not able to get the product id, serial number, imei to unlock it you can find it on the box that came. You only really need the imei and you can put it in here (http://www.imei.info/) and get all the other stuff. Then once you have the code you can run the bat in HWOTA and rebrand the phone through its instructions.
can't unlock because FRP LOCK (GREEN).... i was try erecovery method 100% download and failed installation.

How to go back to stock and relock the Bootloader?

Hello
i have to sell my device so i want to get it to stock again.
My current Setup:
Bootloader Unlocked, Stock Recovery, Rooted with Magisk, Stock ROM 9.0.0.283
What are the Steps to go Back to Stock and wipe everything?
Ive read that if the bootloader relock again it is not able to unlock the second time? Is this correct? I want to get the Unlock Code to the person who buy it but if its real, he cant use the code anymore..
anyway is it possible to do the job with the Stock E-Recovery in the current state of my phone? Without bootloader Relocked? Or is it necessary to relock the bootloader again?
Thank you very much

Ask the buyer if they want it locked. Personally it wouldn't be worth my time if it couldn't be unlocked again. Better to check first..
If you want to lock (not relock) bl justdownload your adequate firmware from androidhost.ru and flash fw using Usb-otg method.
You can unlock/lock your bl using unlock code anytime you want (provided you haven't changed your mainboard in the meantime).

I thought you wanted to go back to stock. I've already gave you solution to bring back all the way stock.
I m not sure if it's even possible to re-lock bootloader using fastboot when you're on pie.
Bootloader status re-locked still means your warranty is void.

Hey I've tried this otg method but without success
If I try it with the dload folder option and try to force flash the emui updater throws an error.
Even with the dialer code method.. same..
I'm not able to get it to stock.
I've tried the Huawei suite on PC and phone in fastboot mode..same..massage this phone can't be reset or so..
What can I do next?
Current state, halfway working phone that's boot into os 2 times from 10 reboots.
