High Battery drain due to 6A00000.ssusb Kernel Wakelock - Xiaomi Mi 5 Questions & Answers

Hello together,
I'm actually on the 5.8.5 20171004 Final build from the Resurrection Remix OS. Since a little while im facing a battery problem due to high drain over the day and night.
So I was downloading the "BetterBatteryStats" App from XDA. The Stats come up with "Awake (Screen Off)" most of the time even with active Greenify on most of the installed Apps. After I study the "Kernel Wakelock" Section it looks like that 6a00000.ssusb is very active.
I found an Thread on XDA with a guy who had the same Problem on his ONE Plus Phone.
My "solution": Disable the host mode (OTG) within sys/module/dwc3_msm/parameters/disable_host_mode. After I did this my Phone is most of the Time in "Deep Sleep" Mode.
Battery Stats
I read on some Threads that this was in earlier times an Bug in a CM/Lineage Version. Can't believe that this is still a known Problem within that OS.
Does anybody have the same Problem? Cleaning the USB Port wasn't successfully either. How can I arrange that to disable the Hoste Mode permanently?
Thanks

The same problem
I´m bored with my new phone, it has the same problem and I don´t know how to solve it. Did you find a solution?
Take a look at the results with Better Battery Stats:

Hi,
as stated above:
First of all I downloaded an root explorer app. Such as: Root Browser Classic
1)Change dir to: sys/module/DWC3_msm/parameters
2) Open file "disable_host_mode"
3) Delete "N"
4) Enter "Y"
5) Save
You need to redo this after every reboot. Found no way to save this persistent. Drawback: You loose the USB OTG function. So no external USB device can be linked into your sytem.
Can not add any external link to pictures or Playstore due to xda restriction...

[Q] Battery drains over night, BetterBatterySTats... stats

Hi there, until a few days ago I had great battery life with my Razr i, but I noticed that now it drains about 10 to 15% over night.
So I get BetterBatteryStats on the store but I am not really familiar with it, so I'm asking for your advices.
I can see that for a 7h25 period of time, my phone has been in Deep Sleep for 6h7 and Awake for 1h18.
1h18 is quite a long time so I guess the lead is good, but I can't really understand wich app is causing the issue.
Here are the sceernshots (next time I'll resize them :cyclops :

Ok as an update, wl1271_wake seems to be wifi activity, so I guess one of my apps is dealing with several transfers at night (1h08).
Any way to identify the app causing this ?
I thought about an app that monitors wifi and mobile data network activity, do you know a good one ?
Google now is disabled on my phone, but maps is not (I use it every day).
I don't remember having installed a new app or updated any app the day the issue appeared...
Another update :
What bothers me is the line "GTALK_ASYNC_CONN_com.google.android.gsf.gtalkservice.AndroidEndpoint", Google talk is disabled on my phone (and have been before the issue happens), any way to prevent this service to run ?
I guess it's included in "Google Services" and market/maps will not work anymore if I disabled it...
Anyways, not sure if the issue come from there as it's written to have ran for only 1m9 during the night.

Now...
I want to share my experience with my phone.
After a long time and my bad choice to upgrade by KIES (bad) the phone all the time scan the media files over and over. The problem was when i make something (ex.a phone call or serf in the net or game etc.) it freez and must reset the battery. I lose to many call's.
I try to set back the original in service but the problem still there.
Next try in all net by rom's. (paranoid, slim etc.) without luck. Freezings and services stops with no way to use it like this.
Finaly the best rom by me without any single problem.
Please follow all the steps to the end. Steps 1 and 2 maybe have many reboots and some freezings.
Step 1 wait to phone go in the settings.
Step 2 reboot all the time so go to recovery (volume up+home+power) and mount the usb (advance choice) and transfer the final rom (Ice Cream Sandwich 4) in to internal sd. (external sd and sim card must be not in the phone).
And install it.
That post is for solution who have a problem.
3rd day and the phone works perfect in every part and apps.
I add the text files with settings instructions and the url's for download the all the files need.
All the problems have a solution peace and health for all.

Android OS WakeLock from Hell

Hi,
When my My MotoG 2 is connected to WiFi Android OS sometimes keeps the device awake, eating up my battery until I restart the device. It just happens sometimes, not always.
My device isn't rooted yet due to warranty. I disabled everything I could in Settings>Applications.
Any advices?
Hum, maybe Ambient Display is the offender, let's try it....
Well, I've been testing it in the last few days, and it seems to be solved.
I turned off "Ambient display" and installed Glimpse Notifications for similar funcionality. Now Android Os keeps the device awake few minutes instead of many hours.
Hope it continues this way!

This is not how you troubleshoot wakelocks.
You need an app that analyse the cause of it, like Better Battery Stats.
Once you installed it, you've to leave your phone for around 2 or 3 hours without using it. Then you'll be able to see what causes the wakelock.

Please, read before reply.
Without root these apps are useless, that's why I used such a "brute force" approach. And I shared my results here just in case someobe else finds the same kind of problem, not to teach how to troubleshoot wakelocks, there are plenty of tutorials on this subject around.

Second question is whether or not your device is in the Battery Charge Limit [Root] support list given the last known update is May 14, 2018.
First question is whether or not you're rooted, and third is whether or not you've looked at the control files on GitHub yet.
Last question is if you're on Android 12, does the native battery charge limit setting of 85% work for you?
1) I'm rooted with custom kernel
2) I've just checked it and looks like my device is not supported
3) Other control files location doesn't exist
4) I have the newest Pixel experience custom rom A12 and there is option for battery charge limit setting
Thank you very much for the tips and your help!
If anyone interested, I have finally found control file for Battery charge limit. It works like a charm.
/sys/class/power_supply/sm7250_bms/charge_disable
Enable value 1
Disable value 0

Question Battery usage and log reports??

Hello there.
I am still rather new to android but understand some things. For example, I have note 10 pro with Arrow OS installed on it. Wanted it for privacy (thanks xioami, had to give them all details to unlock bootloader, woops) and get rid of bloat.
I have noticed on my last charge that microg services seem to be running. Which seems odd to me as I have disabled it (from settings app), and don't have many apps which need it. (ones which do are disabled also)
So my question is, what could be cause for it using 33℅ battery?! And where can I get further logs to understand what's going on.
If I'm running 33℅ on service I don't use, then that could be extra day or 2 for me not charging.
Pictures for reference

}
Here's just showing its run as a background app.
Sorry for noob first question, with full ambiguity. Please be gentle
I have come to realise that I may have disabled it, but I have rebooted my phone a few times so it probably would re-enable.
Question still stands, can I get further logs to understand why its using 33%? Thanks
Try investigate further with betterbatterystats (grab it from xda or play store). Grant any permissions that requires (root isn't mandatory). In my old experience with microg, it might be caused by the cloud messaging service, try to increase the ping intervals to 10 minutes or greater. But your case might different.
