0. Unplug the phone from PC (not necessary but recommended, it will make the phone settle down faster on first boot)

I always get a reboot when mounting USB storage?
There's a bug in MIUI 4 with app2SD. If there is an application installed on SD card and you try to mount the USB storage, MIUI will crash. An example of such application is XDA app. Currently a workaround is to move the application to phone's internal storage by going to Settings > Apps > USB Storage, select the application and click "Move to phone" button. (Note that you may get a hot reboot) After that, do a normal reboot before trying to mount USB storage. This problem was fixed in MIUI 2.2.17.
Can you translate this ROM to <language>?
No I cannot translate it. But if you can provide a link to a translated MIUI 4 ROM (latest version is preferred), I can grab the translation from there and include it in this ROM.
I get an orange text bubble near notification bar saying "New notification received bla bla bla" and I cannot use my keyboard anymore?
It is MIUI way to introduce some features of their ROM on first installation. Just swipe down the notification area and clear any notifications there. After that your keyboard should work properly.
Why shouldn't I install a language pack from different version of MIUI?
A language pack is basically all system applications and frameworks with translation added to them. If you install a language pack from a different (e.g. older) version, it means you're running older applications and frameworks against newer libraries, modules, etc. It may work if you're lucky, but the worst that could happen is your phone won't be able to boot properly and you will have to re-flash the ROM.
What is Auto-dim backlight? (quoted from Peter Alfonso's FAQ)
Unfortunately, automatic brightness in stock ROMs is only half functional. To further explain, automatic brightness will ONLY get brighter, not dimmer, depending on your surroundings. For example, if you were to be reading a Droid-Life article on your device outside in bright sunlight, your screen would be very bright. If you continued to read (leaving your screen on the entire time) while you walked into your house which is very dark because you left the lights off, the screen would remain being very bright. With the "Auto-dim backlight" setting enabled, your screen would be able to dim back to the appropriate level when you walked into your dark house.

Hmm, no luck unless you can point me to an MIUI 4 ROM with Italian translation then I can copy over the translated files into this ROM.

How you solved in the rom gallery sync? Mine is broken also in stock rom after trying some custom rom with fb contact sync

Just replace Gallery2.apk with GalleryGoogle.apk from the latest gapps pack.

To be honest, I'm not sure about that. But if a reboot after replacing the apk didn't help, I would try removing and adding Google account again.

Thank you for adding Google Photos sync, I've been waiting for it to find its way back into a MIUI 4 rom. We surely miss the Brainmaster..
This rom sounds really promising, I'll flash and report back.
Edit: The Gallery sync only syncs my public photo albums, which is about 1% of my photos on Google. :-( Hope you can fix this, until then I'll revert to Brainmasters MIUI 2.3.7b final.

That's strange. I just created an album in Picasa Web Albums with visibility set to "Only you" and it synced just fine to my Nexus S :/

Samsung Keyboard v3.2 fixes that. v3.3 has such problem (even on android 8.0)

I think i found a great gaming rom but please can u add more tones like on pie roms thanks dev

it will be faster and more fluid than bbos V3?, the truth is that I am very interested in the good handling of ram. Among the features that I need is also smart capture, does the rom have it?

Games are very laggy but with the help of spectrum its very nice

Maybe i can add utility for youtube gamers
Maybe next update will have these things:
1. Language is cutted down (English only maybe?)
[UPDATE] Can't delete the language, it will make almost all apps can't be installed
2. More app deleted (maybe testing apps)
3. Extra zip for gaming (ringtone, whatever)
I feel no lag at pubg = pubg gfx + spectrum + game tuner
Maybe on weekend i will release next update...

How's battery backup? Anyone using the rom can tell? Evrmery One Ui rom has even a little lag, I want to go back to SE Oreo but I really like to know about battery backup.

As an gaming rom, you know... but battery backup will be better if using Spectrum performance mode + FDE.AI, little bit lag after first boot, install spectrum or LKT and you will be fine...

How is the battery backup & SOT on the latest Joker Face 14.0.1 Built 2?

Rom is great. But few things to be considered for next release.
1. Auto brightness doesn't work as expected.
2. Phone dialer doesn't allow to clear numbers keyed while on IVR calls.
3. Call Volume on Speaker isn't great.
4. Viper4Android and Magisk integration may be a boon.
5. Volte icon appears on 5G.
6. Network speed isn't working.
Will do another test and post soon.

Hello friends, good morning, afternoon or evening.
I'm using the PORT 23.3.13 version and it's very stable and I'm happy to use it in my day to day life, but there's something that despite my efforts I haven't found a solution for.
The problem is related to DND, I mark the exceptions but I still don't receive SMS notifications or app messages (whatsapp, telegram) from the marked people. The exception only works when they actually call.
I tested this case in both versions, both the stable and the DEV and I have the same problems.
In stock ROM and EU DND works normally.
Can you help me or let me know if it is indeed a BUG?
