i tested and works great!
slow motion works only in SD resolution, works nice but yeah 480p, i think would be great if you can change the icon for a rounded one.

Actually,... The Google Camera still the best than this camera. Why's that?
You can see yourself the different.

@pupun47 Did you try stock RR camera with proper settings? Also changes in build.prop?

My test are exactly opposite And in front camera the difference is extraordinary..

how can I run the google camera in redmi 4x?

Which Goggle camera version are you using ? Also are you trying only normal mode or HDR+ too, tell me tho HDR+ configuration as whenever I select any of them fro the list the app force closes... And if tat settings is off then HDR+ will not work.
Update: got v 3.8b working... With these settings

Well.. I have install the Google camera 5.1 now, it mean the new version. You must uninstall the previous version and install the new version

just enable cam2 api, and just install it.

Camera & flash not work because driver not support

Is there no fix for the camera because it is very important component of my usage

Touch screen fingerprints are bright? I do not use fingerprint security because my hands are sweating

1 out of 100 encrypt his phone
720p60 is not working but 720p working perfect
And the stock camera working properly but if you want to record video use footej camera(via play store) instead :good:

Thanks, but I don't care for half baked nougat roms, that's why I asked if there was a lollipop or marshmallow ROM without bugs.

That's what I already use but if I have to pick one of the roms that camera isn't working properly I'll just keep on using RR

Just in case, look at the topic about sailfish os. A beta build is working great. But fingerprint and apk support are missing.

Sony Xperia 1 Google Camera / Gcam Mod Apk

Now that Xperia 1 is out and it supports camera2api and raw, there is a high chance that google pixel camera app / gcam finally works.
Anyone with Xperia 1 please test working gcam version and share your findings here. Thanks

It's old gcam 5.1 version, so probably no tele-wide-ultrawide hdr+ support...no night sight...yet. At least it's way better than nothing. Hope more people can donate to the developer so that he can continue improves the gcam port

I started using the Google Camera port on my previous device, the LG V30. I wasn't satisfied with the stock camera and I heard others praise the GCam port. So I gave it a try and boy oh boy was it worth it. The photos look much better. I also use it on my Mix 3 and much like with the LG V30, photos come out better in GCam.
