The hardware of p9 plus single sim and dual sim it's the same looking inside.

I think you can do it with HCU client (without changing oeminfo) but you need a valid IMEI number (I did not try it)

Hello, here's the thing, I have a Moto g xt1063 (single sim) and wish to convert it to dual sim. I bought dual sim adapter and installed in my phone. My phone is running latest android version (Marshmallow) but the second sim doesn't work as it is original single sim software. My question is, what to do, what to flash into my phone to enable dual sim function.

Hello, I've searched around but so far I haven't found any serious clue on which firmware should I use to perfectly switch from single to dual sim.
Is there a list of the latest dual Sim firmwares available?
As for the IMEI issue it seems that I'll just need to use HCU and copy the first IMEI number to the second IMEI number slot.

Hi. I have a mate 10 pro. Originally it was a branded bla-l09 mono sim. I, with funk Huawei, turned it in l29 dual sim. Now I have the need to turn it again in l09 and I think to do this with hwota8 (to save my money). This tool does not touch the mono/dual sim functionality. Doing this, there is a chance that it remains dual sim?

Yes, because FH tool flashes an included (and disguised) oeminfo that is dual-sim. The included oeminfo changes your imei, imei2 and sn while in fastboot. Which in turn has also changed your bootloader unlock code.
HWOTA8 will only edit oeminfo to L09 but you will still technically be dualsim. I'm not sure how that will work on L09 firmware though. However, when you flash oeminfo you will have to unlock again, which will be impossible if you don't have your new unlock code (Acquired after you rebranded using FH).
What firmware are you on now?
Starting with BLA-L29C432B145 (The Night Shot update, so might already apply to all cust that has the new Night shot firmware) you can no longer get an unlock code from DC/HCU.

Yes I have a unlock code got after debranding with dc unlocker. Now I am in c432b148-sp1 (xloader 01).

the situation is this: dual sim works! But in the settings, isn't any option to activate/deactivate sim1/sim2.
If i remove sim 2, It looks like a normal mono sim.
If i can manage it with a third part app... it was fantastic!

So a while back I rebranded my CLT-L09 to CLT-L29 C432 which went fine. Even though I have a dual sim tray it doesn't recognise the second sim, so I just left it as is as I was hoping that at some point in the future a tool would be released to convert to dual sim.
Yesterday I upgraded to 9 and the first sim which was working, now does not work. I don't get the prompt to enter the PIN and the phone just says emergency calls only. I tried reverting back to 8 and the sim is recognised again.
Would quite like to go to 9, so what are my options? Can I use the same rebrand files and oeminfo to rebrand to CLT-L09 C432 for example?

Ok - so the SIM had a PIN on it. Removed the PIN and it's now working - so perhaps there is a bug in 9 with the SIM PIN prompt which never gets shown to unlock the SIM?
I converted my P10 Lite from a VF LX1A Single SIM to a LX1A C432 Dual Sim, many many moons ago.
The phone works fine, but it only shows 1 IMEI number and 000000000 for the other.
Bootloader is unlocked and FRP is unlocked.
I have TWRP 3.4.0-0 on the phone.
I know the correct second IMEI number (managed to get it out of hw support when i got the phone),
but wondering if there is anyway to fix it so the phone actually shows the correct IMEI numbers
