N9500 and Samsung Pay - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

Hi,
So I got a HK version of the Note 8 (9500) in the 128 Gb flavour. I see some people get Samsung Pay and some don't. I'm of the second ilk. Is there anyway to get that or am I SOL?
Also, if I'm in Canada, what other "surprises" can I expect?

Looking for a Note 8 on Wondamobile.com, but which one should I buy?

Hi, I'm looking for a Note 8 with internal 256 gb memory. Cause we can't buy these in Belgium, I'm looking for it at wondamobile.com. But which one should I get? The N9500 or the N950N?
For the moment I'm using a Note 5, Sm-n9200 also imported from Hong Kong. The only draw back of my Note 5 was the very late updates from Hong Kong. The N9200 was probably one of the latest to get the update to Nougat ?. So can someone advise me, which one is a better choice? Also if you another webshop where I can buy this device from but is better than wondamobile.com, you're more than welcome to tell me which shop I should looking for. Tnx for the help!
If you want to root and 100% battery, get the N950N; it's the Exynos version. The N9500 is the Hong Kong Snapdragon variant.
I've used Wonda Mobile for my previous phone (Huawei Mate 9), and they're the best for price and shipping to international. I trust them fully. They're worth it.
If you want dual sim Exynos, buy the N-950F/DS 64 gb version they have.

Root is not important. Just want 256 gb. What do you mean with 100% battery? Does this means the snapdragon has a worse battery?

Sorry, should have been more clear. Snapdragon variant only can achieve 80% full charge if they root. Since you're not rooting, this won't apply to you. Just go for the Korean variant to future proof yourself since I've read from others that the Exynos version is better on battery. I have an Exynos version dual sim 64 gb unlocked from Samsung UK.
Does anyone know if Wondamobile include a proper Euro-compatible Samsung charger with the Note 8? (When ordering from EU countries of course.)

Enable Samsung Pay in another country

Hi,
Im from Mexico and I just bought an unlocked Note 8 from amazon(sprint version) because it was really cheap ($650 USD) , i flashed the unlocked rom and now i want to use Samsung Pay which has just been launched in my country but because my phone is from the US i not able to make it work with my cards (as expected). My question is: I have a US Note 8 (Snapdragon) my country is Exynos only so i cant flash the local rom but could i flash only the home CSC from the unlocked Mexican rom to enable samsung pay?
As several threads mentioned Samsung pay is running based on the CSC, I have similar request with you, just want to add different cards from two country
Hello did you got it to work?
I've got a Hong Kong N9500 and have been happily using Samsung Pay in the UK for the last 2 weeks no problems.
The only drawback is that you won't get the local offers and vouchers etc but the card payments work perfectly fine

Samsung pay will work on Note 8 N950N Korean version?

I am going to buy note 8 N950N Korean version because it's better than USA version and would like to know if there is anyway to make Samsung pay work in USA on this international model??? I am almost use my phone to pay for all of my purchases and I don't want to lose the reward with Samsung pay.
Any experience?

Help deciding which variant to get for UK, first time buying a non-UK phone

Hi,
Unsure on which variant to get between the SD and the exynos as seen mixed reviews.
So the way I see it I have 3 options in the devices I get, which work out about the same price:
N9600 SD £600 Toby deals - Does this fully work in the UK? will Google/Samsung Pay work?
N9600FD exynos £600 Toby Deals - Does this fully work in the UK? will Google/Samsung Pay work?
OR i get the device through EE/Vodafone etc. and I'm unsure on the exact model you get, but I know its the Exynos version.
Thanks in advance!
I bought the note 8 n9500 (Hong Kong) version and found most things worked fine!
Phone was awesome and I loved it.
Samsung Pay works, but the loyalty cards and offers are all Hong Kong based.
GPay works fine, no problems.
Bixby kept throwing Chinese writing here and there.
The main reason I wouldn't buy another phone from abroad is the resale value.
I tried to trade it in for a note 9 and it wasn't accepted anywhere.
Vodafone appear to be offering £375 for it but that's the best I'm getting. Carphone Warehouse will not touch it.
I'm just about getting £440 for it on Ebay.
If you're not bothered about resale value, go for it.
I bought the Note 9, 512GB version for £850 and I'm happy with that as I know I can trade it in later and all the bits and bobs work as they should.
Just my 2p
I brought a duel sim version for the wife in copper.
Looks amazing £636 online from wonda mobile.
It came with the seal broken but I think that's to avoid taxes.
Everything works fine

Hi guys, I bought a galaxy s10 LTE model in South Korea (SM-G973N) and realized I can not use Samsung Pay with my phone because I live in Canada and the phone would only take Korean credit cards due to different korean/international whatever credit card standard (((

If there is play explain it to me nice and slowly cause im noob. Thank you guys!!! )
As long as it is the same model as in you can NOT install an exynos software onto qualcomm hardware
It is already exynos hardware and also software as well.
I just wanna use International Samsung Pay App instead of Korean Samsung Pay on my phone :/
on my note 9 which was a korean variant but has exynos too, I flashed roms based on F/DS exynos and it worked perfectly along w magisk. not sure on the s10 tho.

yes you can, but as said above stick with exynos based firmware. youre also going to likely need the patched version of Odin to flash the unbranded firmware so the 255 errors wont cause Odin to fail
Same problem here, for me its the USA s10 cannot use Samsung pay in Vietnam
